Phantom's Revenge Track - March 2001 - Kennywood Park

This quick video starts with a quick look at what Steel Phantom, the partially defunct, record breaking, looping steel coaster from Arrow Dynamics used to look like prior to it becoming the non-looping Phantom's Revenge from Morgan Manufacturing. Most of the track for the retrofit for the ride was sitting in the parking lot.
Most of the remaining Arrow track, including the first drop, was later replaced by Morgan track.

I'm feeling Magnum XL-200 would need to be retracked by Chance Morgan because Magnum right now is rough

That would be interesting to see. I have always thought Magnum was a rougher ride. While there was track work done after the ride debuted, I have always wondered when a complete or partial track replacement project would take place.

Why did they paint the arrow track green if they were going to remove it?

Pretty sure they removed it years after the initial refurb, you can watch older POVs and see where the track used to change between Arrow and Morgan on the second drop!

That is correct. The coaster had a larger mix of Arrow/Morgan track then it does now.

2001 the Morgan track started at the top of the second drop. In 2008 they retracked the rest of the first half with Morgan track. Until Phantom was repainted in 2022, you could actually very clearly see the change from the 2008 Morgan track to the 2001 Morgan track since they were slightly different shades of green
