    Don’t want to talk to get rid of your stress? Cause you don’t like shrinks, talking or have any money to invest? Then this tool is for you IF you can let go of your ego.
    My name is Matthijs and today I am your injured dUmbass, showing you what TRE IS .. and why it is such an awesome tool to get rid of your stress, depression, PTSD, traumas and emotions that got stuck along the way and help you…TO GET THEM OUT and say goodbye to stress.
    In my case it also helped to:
    💨 • breath better,
    💤 • sleep more easily,
    🌞 • be more happy and become more present,
    🔊 • to get rid of stress without talking.
    | SUMMARY |
    --- CONS
    • It does not help you with new coping mechanisms
    • It does not give you better biomechanical function (accept for breathing…it created more space in my diaphragm)
    because you do not get new neuro connections of moving itself. My knee still does not want to sprint with joy, my shoulder is still painful, my gait cycle does not get better very much.. at least in my context
    • You have no idea what kind of trauma’s you stored
    • It is not wise to do without a practitioner if you mental
    +++ PRO’s
    1. No talking to a shrink about your feelings
    2. You just start the shaking process, hold on to it long enough… and emotions CAN relieve themselves
    3. You get awesome sleep after doing it
    4. You get incredibly zen after doing it
    5. You get much better self-awareness after doing it multiple times (meaning that you feel what is happening to yourself more easily
    6. You become aware stress and you now how to get rid of it
    CONCLUSION
    big biomechanical issues fixed (check Functional Patterns in that case), you won’t learn new coping mechanisms (check Adam Lowery for that stuff)
    BUT
    I highly recommend TRE, since it is one of my golden nuggets when to stress relieving tools.

    TRE can help you perform better, as a sportswoman and endurance runner I noticed tremendous benefits from TRE. TRE released held tension, trauma and stress, with this release came more flexible muscles, quicker recovery time. I added yoga to my regular training week and with regular TRE practice my overall performance improved dramatically as a result. Yoga released stressed muscles, fascia on the surface and TRE worked on the deeper held stress, trauma and tension.

    • @MatthijsvanDoesburg

      Do you also do any myofascial release?

    • @louisevandendool3168
      @louisevandendool3168 5 лет назад +2

      @@MatthijsvanDoesburg I do not do Myofascial release on its own or as a separate treatment. When you are tremoring there is a Myofascial release that happens. I used Yoga and TRE 3 times a week to heal from past sports injuries and the trauma caused with in the body from them. The combination of Yoga reducing tension, increasing strength and flexibility on a conscious level and then TRE releasing the deeper less conscious tension patterns, helped my body build a greater flexibility and resilience. The result was a much stronger mind when running an Ultra Marathon, recovering quicker, running faster, and for the last year no injuries related to running.

    I was mind blown. My body went to a place I could hardly believe. There were elements of fear combined with curiousness and amazement. Now I feel as if I'm I am gently drifting with a complete connection and acceptance between my body and mind. Bliss.

      @@MatthijsvanDoesburg Personally it has deepened my awareness of my inner world and that shows up as I am now able to meditate longer,, I find it easier to integrate new learning and my body no longer responds from the fight or flight state, I am aware of my inner sate and can take care of my body accordingly. There is more ease in all my relationships. I also found it powerful in helping to co-regulate my high functioning Asperger son. When he is anxious, I am now able to stay grounded and help him to calm down. With my clients that are using TRE they are finding it easier to get in touch with their emotions and feel safer expressing them and understanding the negative believes that have been connected to the tension in the body, and like me integrating new awareness. Overall it brings about a more empowered and authentic way to be in our bodies, more connected to ourselves and others.

    • @MatthijsvanDoesburg
      @MatthijsvanDoesburg  5 лет назад +1

      @@releasingyourauthenticself6776 That is quite nice. So you are saying that others take over you calmness more in life? My brother has MCDD and i would him to try. That on the other hand is very hard, make people try. Do you have any experience with that, easing people in to try or be more open?

    • @releasingyourauthenticself6776
      @releasingyourauthenticself6776 5 лет назад +4

      @@MatthijsvanDoesburg Yes, our bodies are always affected by the energy in the space and the people around us. We are always mirroring people around us knowingly or unknowingly. When I work with people that are very tense and have a lot of trauma to work through I am focusing on keeping my body grounded and stay loving and present for their experience. That helps their bodies to downregulate. We can not make other people do anything they don't want to do but you can do your best to make it so that they feel good around you and perhaps are curious about what you do to help yourself to stay calm and grounded. We can only help the willing.

I compare it to functional patterns results nowadays, they are more specialised i human biomechanics. But I think they help each other a lot to achieve better posture and biomechanics.

      injured dUmbass joint in my big toe makes a pop for almost every step, maximally contracting my calves usually ends with cramps, contracting my quads feels tight on the left side of the knee, contracting the outer side of the hip cramps in the TFL-area, psoas feels tight prohibiting glute activation, hyperextending the knee makes the knee cap look like it’s facing a bit left, shortening the psoas and contracting glute feels uncomfortable and quickly becomes shaky fast - not sure if that is a complete list either 😅
