  • Traveling from Belgrade to Zagreb shouldn't take too long, right? Welp, in today's vlog we learned that traveling this route with Flixbus or Sirmiumbus (whatever you want to call them) can take MUCH longer than we ever thought.
    We've traveled via Flixbus LOADS of times this year, but haven't gotten a Sirmiumbus until now. This bus company runs out of Mitrovica, Serbia & serves a few different countries in the region. Thankfully we finished our journey from Belgrade to Zagreb eventually, which kicked off two weeks of non-stop work, but we loved it! Come along & see what it's like to travel this route!

    When I first found Kara and Nate…I binged watched their entire journey. Then I found Flying the Nest…binged watched their entire journey. You guys remind me so much of both of their channels…so time to commence binging your entire journey to date. 🥰 Hello from a fellow Tennessean! Y’all are doing a great job! #stayathomemom BUT #travelismylovelanguage

      WOW!!! This is seriously the highest praise we feel like we could ever receive. Kara & Nate and Flying the Nest are definitely massive inspirations of ours & both have influenced the way we do our channel. So to get compared to those two gives us reassurance that we're on the right track. Your kindness means the world to us Kimberly. We can't wait to show you more of this part of the world, & hopefully you're enjoying fall in Tennessee for us!! We definitely love what we're doing, but we miss home too!!! We're so thankful that you've found our channel & can't wait to chat with you more in the comments in future videos!!😊

    Ain't that the truth? Now you know why I hate buses, especially Flixbus! When I went to Belgium by bus in May, 15 hours total with two changes and lots of waiting in between, when I drove to Brussels this month, 7 hours non stop and the same on the return trip. Glad you finally got there, get some rest and we're all looking forward to your next videos.

      Thank you so much Eddy!!! That's why next time we spend a lot of time in Europe, we plan to just rent a car, even if it's for a few months. It'll a little more expensive for sure, but it'll also allow us to do day trips to smaller towns/cities so that we can make more vlogs of those places. We feel like those are the bread & butter of our channel. We have a bus ride in a few days that's supposed to take 7 hours but if I'm being honest, I'm mentally preparing for 10🤣 Thank you so much for watching & being such a great supporter of our channel!!!

    Fun fact: Flixbus itself doesn't operate a single bus Europe. All Flixbus buses, branded or not, are operated by contracted coach companies. (The name of the operated company is often written on the front door of the bus, at the back of the bus or at the driver's side of the bus)

      Oh that's fascinating! I need to do a bit more research on Flixbus because you'd think they'd own & operate their entire fleet, but if there's one thing we've learned in Europe this year it's that there's an INSANE amount of Flixbuses on the roads😂

      EXACTLY!!! We were honestly just SO glad to make it back to Zagreb. Our entire journey we kept saying "once we're back in Zagreb, the rest of the year will be SOO easy"😂 It turned out to be a very long, but eventful bus ride to say the least!!

    I didn't understand what was "unusual" about your bus trip. But... maybe because I never traveled to US to compare it...

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Год назад +1

      I think some of it mostly had to do with just the delays at the border, & the random stops along the way that weren't listed on our journey details. It really wasn't THAT crazy of a travel experience, but it was DEFINITELY different from what we've experienced previously. We're just super thankful that we arrived!!🤣 Thank you so much for watching Filip!!!
