- After running its final service on the Severn Valley Railway in July, 6960 Raveningham Hall departed the SVR to its new home in Margate.
With expert planning from the Bridgnorth MPD team and all heavy lifting from Allelys, the locomotive lovingly nicknamed 'Ratbag' leaves the SVR for the final time - and we're definitely sad to see it leave!
Watch as we say goodbye to Raveningham Hall - but not without some difficult with a winch! Who said it was easy lifting a 75 tonne, 77 year old locomotive?

Sad to see it go, such an iconic loco.
very sad to see her go but very fond memories of this one hope to see her running up the line again soon!!!
An iconic GWR loco...had plenty of trips behind the loco on visits to S V R in years gone by..be great exhibit at Margate...hopefully an overhaul will be forthcoming in future..😃👍
I can't wait to volunteer at the Severn Valley Railway it may be next year also I am going to miss getting pictures of Raveningham Hall
Nice video 👍👍👍👍👍😃😃🚂
I served on this train as a steward in the 1980's for a company day out kind of thing.
Great video guys! Sad to see her go though.
Very sad to see 6960 out of traffic. Hopefully she will get another turn again in years to come
Interesting video.
Great behind the scenes footage - it’s a shame you are so far from me as I’d live to get some SVR train footage for my channel!
Won't it be put into service once the boiler is recertified?
Will it be coming back when the overhaul is done
When is bradley manor coming back
it would appear you didnt use a snatch block on the first attempt to pull the loco onto the road wagon,if this is the case please dont do it again
Don’t worry will be back to WSR soon. It’s only less Covid freedom.
Shame its going to the East, GWR locos should stay in the West Country
