We won’t realise how great Lewis really is until the nostalgia kicks in when he leaves F1.
Nahh
Yeah, Congratulations to him for doing his job I guess.
I can hardly wait his retire .... i m bored of him, lets make great another driver, lets have some drama, intense battle on the track
Real F1 fans know he already one of the greats
Some of us realize it now, it's only those currently in denial who'll realize it later.
Bruh, even in 2007 he was thanking the team like a true champ
That's what I was thinking. He's been the same from the start.
Even then he knew; not just believed, but knew.
Yeah kinda awesome how he thanks the team always
but nowadays he never thanks mclaren, really disrespectful for a team that looked after him for his whole childhood.
@@martinofficial1586 Sorry, that assertion is simply incorrect.
Singapore 2018 wasn't just the best pole he ever achieved, but also was one of the best races he ever did. It was something so magic to watch. This race and Turkey 2020 was so so magic to see.
Complete cringe, people really do be forgetting Senna existed

Canada 2010 was the best. First time RedBull was beaten that year, and watching #44 push that car along the straight... epic
@Alan ALI 12 I'm going to have to check that one out.
@Alan ALI 12 that was one of the craziest highlights that season I remember. Still underated. And he smacked Webber around many times w the lesser car
I'm an LH44 fan to the grave, but as I recall both Red Bulls qualified on the primes (as the harder compound was known back then) while Hamilton qualified on the options (the softer compound). A qualy-over-race outlook from McLaren. It ended up working out in the race and I'm glad it did, but I think impartiality, something the anti-Hamilton crowd will all too often refuse to adopt, has to take precedent. In that race Hamilton indeed got pole by virtue of being on the softer compound, but managed to translate that into a win by pure talent in the slower car.
I also, however, remember Hamilton running out of fuel and being unable to return to the pits under the car's own power for that qualifying lap. Were rules changed immediately following that incident? Quite possibly. Because a repeat of that incident in Spain 2012 cost Hamilton pole, ultimately giving it to Maldonado.
@@Bahamuttiamat *Korea* is definitely his most underrated pole position. I'd go as far as to say it's his 2nd best pole ever. Nothing will ever beat the *shock* that was Singapore 2018 tho.
@Alan ALI 12 gotta agree on that one. Before Korea, Vettel got pole 90% of the time
You know you've done something right in F1 when your 'pole laps' video is 15 min long
And just think, this is only 10% of his poles to date
When your 10% of poles take up 15 mins

Yeah amazing driver
always noticed how he brings up the many men & women behind his success when he achieves something great. the fact that that kind of response comes naturally to him, rather than it seeming forced for the cameras, says a lot about his sportsmanship and humility even while being one of the GOATS. not always been a fan but this man was clearly special from the start and deserves this 100%.
And ppl hate him for that. I really dont understand couch warriors

But that isn't right, is it? He does that, but as soon as he has failed to be first, he IS first to blame the car. He is for sure the goat, hard to deny that, but to me it doesn't not look genuine when he always mentions the factory workers. Same when you come in to work and greet everyone, its not mandatory but its common sense.
@@ugisrugelis2070 Lewis is a genius. When Lewis thanks the people back at the factory on the Sunday and those same factory workers go to work on the Monday, they'll give that extra 5% as a result, no doubt about it. This ensures that Lewis's car stays as quick as it can be. Obviously Lewis is the most gifted talent of this generation which also helps. His tyre management, his race craft, his lack of mistakes; I can't see Max beating Lewis in a championship anytime soon ever though Max is in the fastest ca this yearr.

his race craft is insane, pace too
Yeah the best driver gets the best car lol
It's not hard to understand, if someone else could do what Lewis does they'd have his seat
It's both. If Lewis had not signed for Mercedes in 2013 nobody would be calling him a legend. If Lewis was a bad driver we would all be talking about the 7 time World Champion Nico Rosberg.
@ALEXANDRU BLIDAR Bottas never catching up to Lewis in the same Mercedes
I mean the guy has talent, but you can't deny that car helps him too.
I'd like to see what he could produce in today's McLaren. He's always had the luxury of driving a winning car.
That moment when you realise this list is only a tenth of the total poles he has had...

that also caught me by surprise man
Grosjean was very quick in qualifying with that Lotus especially 2012-2013. Though his race pace was inconsistent compared to then teammate Raikkonen who would ninja his way to podiums and constant points finishes. In a way, it somehow draws parallels to Giovinazzi-Raikkonen at Alfa where GIO would match or beat him in quali but RAI would have better race results.

I was at Copse Corner for the Silverstone weekend in 2007 and they're not kidding when they talk about the crowd reaction. My old man had a radio tuned in to the Public Address System and he cheered a fraction of a second before everyone else. That singapore lap is the definition of driver and machinery becoming one single unit, harmonizing perfectly in every single aspect. Something you only witness every once in a while from a driver. And I genuinly think no other driver ever came close to this level as many times as Lewis Hamilton. This is exactly why you are able to recognize a great driver even when he is sitting in the fastest car. Appreciate him for as long as he is still around, I'm entirely certain even many of his haters will miss him when he has retired.
