I was amazed at how these people were at the top but knew so little about customer service, how to stock shoes, and shoplifting. When any of these guys visited the store I knew we were going to get behind schedule and get heavily shoplifted. Also if anyone ever paid attention while using a coupon at Payless they would notice the percentage would be wrong a quarter of the time, if not more. Such as using 25% off coupon wouldn’t take a $20 shoe down to $15 plus tax but take the shoe down to $16 plus tax which would be 20%. Every time a coupon didn’t work right it was always in the company’s favor. And if an employee would call the DM to tell them about the problem they would get mad if you adjust the price if the customer didn’t notice the problem.
Undercover boss is cool but what if they did the reverse where an employee just became the boss and everyone went along with it. Would be such a good show

I left that day and never looked back. He's so delusional he recently sent me happy holidays text messages in a transparent attempt to get me back to the firm. Yeah that is never gonna happen.

I had been wearing those boots for four months 50+ hours a week in a foundry and were covered in paint. So they were way past the point where someone else would just use them without having serious questions.
This makes me appreciate Gus from Breaking Bad. Yeah he's a murderous drug dealer. But he also works alongside his employees in his fast food establishment. It sends a good message of humility and equality, good for him.
