    You see I know this is a parody, but at one of the retail jobs I had worked at had a couple days where the district manager would come in to "work" with us. In actuality she was just there to nitpick everyone for every single thing, going so far as to criticize employees for drinking water. The work she did was little if anything, and even when she did attempt to help, it was so poorly done that it ended up hurting our workflow. Big middle finger to you, unnamed district manager ;)

    • @ambermarie7531
      @ambermarie7531 2 года назад +176

      That's too bad the DM was like that. The company I work for our DM works her ass off when she has to come to our store to help. The owner stops by occasionally and I've been running a shift and been short staffed and he hops on the line to help us out during rush. That's one reason why I still work there.

      I know this is an old post but this is how Payless ShoeSource District Managers and Regional Managers acted. I was amazed at how these people were at the top but knew so little about customer service, how to stock shoes, and shoplifting. When any of these guys visited the store I knew we were going to get behind schedule and get heavily shoplifted.
      Also if anyone ever paid attention while using a coupon at Payless they would notice the percentage would be wrong a quarter of the time, if not more. Such as using 25% off coupon wouldn’t take a $20 shoe down to $15 plus tax but take the shoe down to $16 plus tax which would be 20%. Every time a coupon didn’t work right it was always in the company’s favor.
      And if an employee would call the DM to tell them about the problem they would get mad if you adjust the price if the customer didn’t notice the problem.
