  • There are very few videos on youtube demonstrating powerful Moogerfooger Murf pedal on synthesizers, so i decided to make raw demo on a static sustained synth sounds.

Alas this pedal has been discontinued for a long time now. Prices on the 2nd hand market are ridiculous. For once, I wish Behringer would have a take on this kind of product.

I've always wanted one of these. But I'm wondering, what is the difference between sequencing between different bandpass filters and just sequencing the frequency of a single bandpass filter? Know what I mean?

The Murf can let multiple (fixed) Bandpass Filters through at the same time. But when just sequencing one band pass at the time, you could probably do it the way you suggest. But don’t forget there is a overlap between the fixed filters when you want to create these beautiful swirling, morphing sounds… you should surely get a Murf! ;)

    Can you edit the patterns?
Or only on the unobtainable midi version?

It is possible to edit patterns only on midimurf, but i personally dont like midimurf, i had both pedals and attack and release on original murf are much much better, punchier than on midimurf. When I had midimurf, I never had the need to edit a pattern, because 24 patterns plus filters give a lot of variations. Midimurf has the advantage of an additional bass murf and easy sync via midi, but has very sluggish disappointing attacks.

      @@77advanced ok
thanks 🙏🏼 for the insight 👍🏼
think i:ll get the bassmurf at some point, 12patterns seemed limited but i hadnt considered all the variations with filter positions 🤦🏼
Dont think id use midi anyway.
Got the cp251 so that opens up endless possibilities!
