But when they actually preform it, don't they play the music in the background in real life? So it would be easier to get in the mood and feel the pace and beat of the song? I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Dance is performed with the music, in the video they most likely removed the sound and added the same music back in though, the dance would be incredibly hard to preform without the music because dancers listen to the beat and moments in the music for their movement.
there's nothing wrong with being 'normal' when the whole population already strives towards standard societal norms anyways. This is humbling in the fact that it proves we're more similar than we think, and yet we have profoundly different perspectives on our lives and how we react through them.
Orlando nightclub shooting? Death of Prince, David Bowie, Phife Dawg, Gene Wilder, etc.? Trump becoming president?........and this is the saddest thing you've seen all year?
There is a reason why people go to the same stages of life. It is because most of the time it is what feels right at that moment. You can't understand that before you are in this age gap like your mind change but it feels right you know :). If you are young and dream of traveling your entire life you may not feel the same when you get older.
dang! who's doing the producer role in this video? this is so beautiful, and not to mention aesthetically very well pleasing. kudos for buzzfeed and team!
Richa Patranabis This isn't just a video to meet their quota, it's a video produced by Eugene, who tends to do the more high viewed and thought out videos.
LiamDaLemon no like when he was coming out he called that project the greatest because it meant so much to him but ya know...I always mistaken opinions for onions
+ambika sikka Honey, you're to young to understand now I guess, but average does not mean all people, it means a large majority between 18-23. Therefore, you are the small portion that has experienced it at a young age.
I am a contemporary dancer and a writer/poet. And this was just an absolutely gorgeous piece of art, and one of the best things I have ever seen buzzfeed put out
thats what im wondering as well. when puberty hit me, i developed depression, anxiety n not to mention my ocd got way worse. gotta love this stage of my life. Im doing better now so hopefully everything will be fine
These dances are the most beautiful thing a person can do. They tell such amazing stories. I feel every emotion that they convey. This was beautiful, priceless, and phenomenal.
Thought the same thing...I think the teen years are the worst cuz everyone's expecting things from you and you're meant to live up to everyone's set standards
First time I got high iwas thirteen and the first time I got tipsy was 13 too 🤷🏾♀️. Plus places like the U.K (and certain parts of the us) where kids are getting shitfaced at like 12
Tobi Kim I am glad divorce exists and is more socially acceptable now. People used to remain in unhappy (and sometimes even abusive) marriages for their entire lives rather than live with the "shame" of divorce. I am grateful that people who need it have divorce as a more viable option now.
Alyssa Wolfe But what about the children who are scarred for life and might think in the future 'my parents got a divorce, so I can do the same if I 'get tired' of this relationship.'
Alyssa Wolfe For situations like that its totally understandable its just that finding a happily married couple is sometimes a hard thing to find due to many factors these days
@DrawingwithME I wasn't hating and I'm sorry if it came out like that, all I was doing was using my way of speaking to say that it was sad yet beautiful way to represent the elderly. I'm sorry that you didn't understand.
@DrawingwithME why are people so eager to call someone an idiot? No need to be rude. The comment was just that it was sad to be reminded of that like the person explained. Goodness gracious.
i remember watching this about a year ago and it leaving me this black emptiness inside in fear of my life turning out like this, in fear of my life not turning out like this. i had no idea of what the hell i wanted from life and if it was even worth it. for about three months i just walked around feeling a panicked empty feeling, never happy, always questioning and always wondering. the fear of change and the fear of nothing changing. i just gotta say it, that right now is the happiest i've been in years. i love the people i've chosen to surround myself with and i love my plans for the future. even though everything is far from perfect i feel whole in a way i've never felt before. the person i am right now doesn't really think about the future, but that's something i've never liked to do. it's better now. i'm better.
ok this video was beautiful and probably the best thing coming out of buzzfeed in a while and it was probably made by eugene but are those statistics based on america right?
yeah like in Russia people very rare move to another flat(or never), and get married at the age of 18-25. Have kids at 18-23. (giving birth after 25-27 called oldermother or something like that).
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how much movement, expression and beauty Eugene's hair added to the interpretive dance? That man...and his hair...are gorgeous!
I legit cried at the grandchildren after unhappiest age and midlife crisis, just something about the parallelism to the childhood and the moves at the imaginary friend, just it’s wonderful, you can really feel the joy that eugenes conveying in that moment
Amiya Hansen on top of being a producer, he's also a choreographer. he was the instructor for when some of the buzzfeed employees learned dances from music videos.
iSkrillzz , I am so sorry. I won't say i understand bc i haven't felt it myself. But i can understand why it would hurt. Cry as much as you need to and be sad as much as you need you. Take your time. Ya know Eugene probably came in wearing a full suit and a perfect tie with a pocket square and then the director of this video came up to him and said “Eugene you know you’re dancing today, you’re only gonna be wearing jeans”
Ally A. lol i wasnt Eugene did a "learn how to dance like they do in K-pop " on here. Eugene is that one overachiever that is just good at everything lpl
+Anonymous Videos Yeah I just saw his instagram post. He directed, edited, starred in, and choreographed this video. His creation came out beautifully; he should be very proud.
I get a lump in my throat every single time I watch this, without fail. Eugene is so incredibly skilled to be making videos that have such an effect on me, and I'm never one to cry! Well done!!!
Holy moly! Everyone's expressions were so realistic. All of them are great actors, not just the main two. I had to rewatch this 10+ times to see what everyone was doing. Oh! And the part where the main two first met (after loosing their first tooth) was absolutely adorable. Look at them smiling shyly... The aww factor is way too strong there. And the fight between husband and wife, oooh, that was so filled with anger and pain. The midlife crisis part was super epic too! Everything and everyone was awesome! I'm really satisfied.
Avantika Shrivastava FACTSSSS LIKE life moves on and we meet new people and we'll never meet people with the same personalities as we have now if that makes sense.imma be so depressed when I'm older...but then again it's 3:00 am in the morning.........
uh same here, i am 14 and like i guess im not an idiot whos going to go get high and drunk?? I guess my parents are good people?? That part was like wtf...
Just imagine filming this and all you hear is shuffling feet and breathing
But when they actually preform it, don't they play the music in the background in real life? So it would be easier to get in the mood and feel the pace and beat of the song? I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Music101 I said imagine XD like that Elvis video of him dancing and shouting
Oh okay, that would be pretty funny lol. Btw, send me the link to the video you mentioned?
maybe they had a lit jam playing in the background
Dance is performed with the music, in the video they most likely removed the sound and added the same music back in though, the dance would be incredibly hard to preform without the music because dancers listen to the beat and moments in the music for their movement.
This is, hands down, the most beautiful buzzfeed video.
this really is
true
yesssss
Agreed! 👍
Kristie U. Yaaaaassss that is what I was thinking 💭
This video gave me chills...
.
AwesomestOfAwesome me too!
AwesomestOfAwesome me too!!
AwesomestOfAwesome it gave me goosebumps for real
amysocool7 ooo9.
It bothers me that Eugene is not listed in the credits at all when this is so clearly his production style and choreography.
RigHT!! But thank god everyone knows this high quality work is by Eugene
This might be the most depressing thing I've seen all year.
Nikki Budders and the most beautiful.
there's nothing wrong with being 'normal' when the whole population already strives towards standard societal norms anyways. This is humbling in the fact that it proves we're more similar than we think, and yet we have profoundly different perspectives on our lives and how we react through them.

Natasha Lopez lol someone got a little triggered
dang! who's doing the producer role in this video? this is so beautiful, and not to mention aesthetically very well pleasing. kudos for buzzfeed and team!
kogee han it's gotta be Eugene's!
I'm assuming it's Eugene
kogee han Eugene, he's amazing
ah! No wonder though. I could totally feel Eugene's touch in this video. /cough/ the perfection level though /cough/
kogee han Eugene produced this video
getting drunk at 13-14 is AVERAGE??? wth and high from 12-18???
I'm not shocked that it happens to people at young ages, but for it to be the average? incredible
shineeteentop24 Ikr
hilarious
shineeteentop24 looks to be right for a world average. Drinking age is probably a lot higher in America though
Ladies and gentlemen i am below average
Eugene just came out as gay and I instantly came back to watch this
ANYONE HERE AFTER THEY WATCHED IT?
Really Average Guy MEEEEE
Me
Me
Me!
SAME MAN, I WAS LIKE, "Am I the only one who remembered he's gay?"
Another milestone: watching this video and realizing you're not average
Same
then you realise you are worse then average and it makes you feel worse
Same
Living your own standards is better
yep.. im way far from the average :v
Eugene definitely made this
He did. Check his Instagram
Darnell Fortune yeah it was on his ig
exactly,very breathtaking!
Wow... how come he can do everything?? Holy sheet!!
i didn;t even know he was a dancer!
honestly the best thing ive seen a single man direct ever
ikr. And Eugene is an amazing dancer too.
Oh wow I didn’t know Eugene choreographed one of my favorite videos. Anyone here from the why I’m coming out video?
Eugene choreographs most of buzzfeed's serious videos.
Yup
A lot of people i think
yeah!
I just watched it
slam this video in the face of the people who still say that buzzfeed is running out of ideas
Richa Patranabis well this was a change
Richa Patranabis This isn't just a video to meet their quota, it's a video produced by Eugene, who tends to do the more high viewed and thought out videos.
Richa Patranabis probs cause Eugene worked on it
its well done and meaningful bc its from eugene!
I'm 18 and i ain't even average in the ones I should be
Average doesn't necessarily mean better
Snook 🙌
no number can tell you what you "should" or "shouldn't be/have done..

Why do I feel like Buzzfeed took credit for Eugene's greatest project ever
LiamDaLemon I wouldn’t say greatest
@@danielalt7054 Not that your op doesn't mean the world to me, but was hyperbolic aha
LiamDaLemon no like when he was coming out he called that project the greatest because it meant so much to him but ya know...I always mistaken opinions for onions
LiamDaLemon “took credit” what
Jane they did kind of they never explicitly credited him for choreographing, Even though everything in this video was so moving and powerful
Did Eugene ever learn ballet or something...?
EHJ Lee i guess so lol
Modern, not ballet :p
EHJ Lee Same. I didn't know he could move so freely
EHJ Lee he can dance
EHJ Lee ikr
damn! my life is NOT average
me too I'm 13 and never got high or drunk before
good, wait until you're older and your brain is more mature! :)
Well, most people's lives won't be average. The average tends to be multiple "extremes" outweighing one another :)
+ambika sikka Honey, you're to young to understand now I guess, but average does not mean all people, it means a large majority between 18-23. Therefore, you are the small portion that has experienced it at a young age.
I'm 14 and feel old
I am a contemporary dancer and a writer/poet. And this was just an absolutely gorgeous piece of art, and one of the best things I have ever seen buzzfeed put out
Katie Dietrich same, and very much agreed.
Agreed
since when was puberty that dramatic and majestic?
thats what im wondering as well. when puberty hit me, i developed depression, anxiety n not to mention my ocd got way worse. gotta love this stage of my life. Im doing better now so hopefully everything will be fine
Teens just want it to be that way
And why is there just a boy's puperty and the girls just get their period, I mean we also hit puperty, and it's other then by the boys
*starts at age 9*
🤣🤣🤣
how is it even possible that eugene is so good at everything!!???
Jessie Scott Magic. Just like his hair.
HIS HAIR GIVES HIM LUCK! *Shaves eugenes hair and puts it on my head* please let me be lucky now
Jessie Scott FOR REAL
Jessie Scott he's asian sooo... LOL HAHAAH i'm asian and I am not good at anything.
Eugene is honestly way too qualified to work for buzzfeed

DerpHatsuneMiku You also have puberty going on at the same time which makes it doubly worse.
