Man I’ve been watching you since you were in Korea. And seeing the growth. I remember I used to come home so excited to see your videos after school, watching you throw weight and grow your business. Just to see that a few years ago you were barely making it, you were trying to get your business off the ground. And now just a few years later you have a team of employees you work with, you have an amazing wife and your gonna have a baby girl soon. Time flew by and I’m so happy to see what you’ve done, wicked pumped to see what the future brings you.
Swaddle tip. Bring the bottom up after you do the first tuck. That way the last tuck secures the excess swaddle and there's no risk of it getting over the babies face/head. Good luck!
Agreed. I like to fold swaddle In half (triangle shape) that way the bottom tuck has a nice tip to tuck in.
Gotta watch Harvey Karp's companion videos to the Happiest Baby on the Block that show a quick swaddle. The book, Happiest Baby on the Block, is a life safer...the 4 S's are like a cheat code for calming a fussy babies. Also, just buy/use a swaddle sack...uses velcro straps instead of trying to tuck in the blanket...so much easier to swaddle a moving baby with a swaddle sack.
Second all of that. Once she starts moving, those blanket swaddles are not going to hold up 😂
Being a dad is the easiest and most fun thing in the world. The key to remember is your life doesn't change the moment they come out (like so many people say). Don't get me wrong that is amazing and the best experience ever but your mind and soul don't suddenly change overnight. Over the next year though, once you get to know that little girl your life, your values, what you always thought was important, etc. will just shift. You won't even really know it's happening but one day you will wake up and you won't even remember the person you were before that little angel came into your life (in a good way). Also, being a dad is the easiest and most fun thing you can do. So many people overcomplicate it. All kids want are two things 1 - Your time, 2 - your love! If you can handle those two things your a natural! When I say "your time" all I mean by that is they have to know they are a priority. To be clear also, you don't have to give up your life either. I still work and run and such but everyday I make quality time for my kids and I plan my weekends around them and the fun things we are going to do. Not because I'm doing it for them (although that's a great byproduct) but because I'm doing it for me! I love hanging out with those little rascals and they know it! You got this:)
I would disagree, as a full time stay at home dad of 2, being a dad I not the easiest thing in the world. Some days I wish I had a real job back and the ability to have just 5 minutes on the shitter to myself... not complaining. I chose this. But to say that being a dad is easy is relative to how much time you're spending with the kiddos.

@@cpruns4501 for sure 🤙 your right though it is the funnest job I've ever had. I try and remind myself this is what I wanted when I'm vacuuming fish food flakes of the couch, wiping asses, and dealing with the insane attitudes. It's hard but rewarding. Sometimes I miss a paycheck and the tangible reward but I try and remember that this reward is one that pays off later in life more so than immediately.

Swaddling is important to help baby with their startle reflex! They can wake themselves up from the reflex. Super important for sleep to swaddle. 👏🏻 Good Work Nick!

Man I remember having to learn how to swaddle 10 years ago when our first was born. Now they got swaddles that are like a big sock and just pull the side over and uses Velcro to hold the baby nice and snug. 👍👍👍

Nick. Change the first diaper. When I became a dad 16 years ago I had never even held a baby and I know my wife was concerned. So shortly after my daughter was born the nurse said it was time to change her diaper. I pushed the nurse aside and told her to just walk me through it. My wife was a smiles. All I am going to say is "Tar".. It is like freaking tar.
