They most likely pushed back it's release as to make sure RV would have the least number of major competitors and give those big groups' songs some time to breathe before releasing this mv. Not entirely sure but that's the only explanation i could think of business wise for SM.
Zach L you’re right. November was over saturated with comebacks because of big solo artists like IU who released near October. She’s a digital monster in Korea because she’s loved by the korean general population, and if anyone made a comeback near her they wouldn’t chart well. There was also BTS who took up most of the charts in September. They’re starting to become a digital monster as well since the entire album ends up taking most of the top spots on streaming sites in Korea, so companies will plan around their comebacks too. But tbh even BTS can’t outchart IU for long. They managed to with idol but only for a short while. Companies tried to plan accordingly to give their groups the best chance at exposure, but they ended up all cramming into November to either make it in time for awards season or at least release some content before the end of the year. The only other act that survived such a jammed month of comebacks is Twice. They dethroned EXO almost instantly and their comebacks were pretty close to each other to begin with. Now that it’s the end of November though, it’ll be easier for groups to do well .
