Wendys high note never dissapoint.
Irene did the scream in the begging and in the midle. And it was a D7 note and people say that this was the highest note a female idol ever sang.

Anyway thank you for liking this song. I like it from first listen but that's not the case with most people including some reveluvs. I like how you said that this is the perfect example of showing variety with simple lyrics 👍🏻

I thought Really Bad Boy was a hot mess when I first listened to it, but it really grew on me. A song that proves SM (Red Velvets label) aren't afraid to push them in very different musical directions. They pull it off so well.
To me it’s almost impossible to watch the mv plus tease out the many wonderful layers of vocal magic without multiple listenings. I was intrigued the first time, but now I truly love it!

You won't catch everything on the 1st, 2nd or even on 3rd listen for the how many vocals are there.. The backtrack vocals, harmonies and everything. I've been listening to this since I became a reveluv but these days I have fully dissected the song and it is a MASTERPIECE. Until now, no single idol or girl group has dared to do a cover for this song bcs of how high the vocal range in here.

Honestly, this is one of, if not my favorite title track from them. I don't know an artist who would tackle a song like this. The instrumental itself is very bare. Mostly with a sporadic saxophone and a horn. The rest of the melody is provide by Red Velvet themselves. Their backing vocals and little adlibs is actually providing the backing music. It's really a bold song to do. IF you go and search for the instrumental of this song, you can here other little sounds and stuff the girls recorded, including whispering all the way through.

What makes rbb great imo is there is no sense of melody from the instrument throughout the verse, prehook, and the hook itself, it fully their vocal layering to the music.
The only melodical (idk is that a word) instrument layering the vocal is on the bridge and that amazing
Many people didn't like this song (ReVeluvs alike) but it's on of my most listened on my spotify playlist :) ... It was meant to be a performance-based song with awesome vocals! Sadly, Korea didn't appreciate it compared to US (RBB charted #1 in Billboard World song sales charts alone , but also the album being in top 10 for 10 weeks straight! )
