Hello. I like your channel ! You work very professionel, more than a lot of the guys now on the trucks. Im a retreatet Dutch ex long haul driver, now living in France, spending the 70 on middle east run, the 80 betwen Portugal and Scandinavia, the 90 on the way to Russia and Kasachstan. My best friends on the road has been the boys whitch came from UK. In each situation you could count with them ! This stay in memory. But i think this is all over now.
Used to do Holland and into Germany regularly but always sailed from Newcastle to Ijmuiden and occasionally Hull to Rotterdam. Hardly ever had any problems, Europe treat Lorrie drivers so much better than anywhere in the UK.
I truly enjoyed your video so much That I subscribed and hit that notification bell. I found it relaxing to watch with some commentary and music very brilliant keep up the great work look forward to viewing future videos thank you.
Thanks SB, first time I've driven to Holland for many a year haha. I totally agree with you about that horrible train too, I only ever used it once, never again...x
nice video with plenty of info ,,love dfds ferries i always sail with them to and from dunkirk as i am not a fan of calais ,,as for the open borders being slow ,the hungary austria and the hungary serbia are a total nightmare in the last few months ,it has got so bad that that they now have warning signs on the motorway telling you that the queues are long ,which at least gives you the option of diverting or parking up depending on your hours ,,,be safe out there gal ,,
The lady over the road had a brother who was a Lancaster pilot. Was always pleased to see Dover. They were lost over France sneaking home with damage. A German night fighter with radar got them. He did 43 missions. I always remember another friend, Bill, when I hear the music. One night over the target the bomb aimer was telling him go right. Bill wouldn't. Just as well because the plane above dropped 7tons of high explosive. So long Bill.
I think the same as you but lost some good trucking friends on the 2 ferry sinkings of the Townsend Thoresens, I used to travel on them both ways every 2 weeks for 5 years and managed to miss both..but would still travel ferry rather than the tunnel.
I've never been through La Junquera or Irun without being stopped. I even went on a road trip holiday to Spain, took the family and still got stopped in my car? 🙄Cost me a litre of Johnny Walkers, Black label 🤣
WHAT i should have told you was they were trying to get the plane away from Rouen. From memory there is a monument to those men where two major roads meet . You might see it sometime. They were buried in a churchyard. Years later war graves. When they went over to see the graves the whole town, schools, everybody came to meet them. I think the French were very fortunate to have you as neighbours. From memory the Junkers pilot was named something like Rocker and didn't want to do it but business is business. The human race will never learn.
Nice video! Dont know why, but always like to watch ferry-crossings. You know you can turn the "auto-parking mode" off in your dashcam? I also got tired of it going on and off.
ruclips.net/video/3dUDPlDeMv4/видео.html This may help. I live 2300mls east but shipped out 1000mls nth of Perth. Australia is a big country. Sorry I can't help. The doggies have six axles total load over 100 tons.
@davidmonro3270 Yep, will do. My sister lives in the wheatbelt, a lady truckie broke down up the road from her so she went to make sure she was ok, got water etc., offer any help she could, I’ll see if I can get in touch with her. My brother did a bit out there with the giant tippers, the ones like Tonka Toys, one of my nephews works on the strange articulated earth machines underground in a big gold mine! All interesting stuff to a nerd like me 😂😂😂
Hi, I worked on nights doing the fruit markets for Spiers & Hartwell for many years as did my brother Phill. I have some very happy memories of my time there, I left on good terms. I deliver fruit into them occasionally now. In fact one of the guys that works in their office is still the first one to wish me happy birthday every year, no matter where I or he is in the world, even if I’ve not seen him all year. Think you’ve got my son wrong though, his name is Jacob, he has a different surname to me or his father as do his children.
@@GBtrucklady I remember you from the markets when I were a little boy going with my dad 😁 used to love seeing you as female trucker as female truckers were really rare back then. My dad drove for MMD in Portsmouth and it was quite often said there's not many that could get round a market like you did! Seeing you with a little smile and seemingly so content was something that made me continue into transport myself, so thank you for that. Apologies for the wrong sons name, my memory said Anthony for some reason. Anyway, it's so nice to see one of "my childhood heros" still enjoying transport and not turbo'd into a grave. Take good care of yourself x
@@southerncomforttrucking9799 That’s so nice, thank you. Mostly I laugh at myself, I can be such a dope 😂😂 Smiling always get you through. Nice to have influenced the next generation. Stay steady, stay safe. 😁
Hey lady I am lorry Driver from IRAQ when I was living in the UK back in beginning of this senctury my dream was to become a truck trailer Driver there and travel all over Europe like you do that never happened Uk government deported me back to IRAQ enjoy every day and night of your beautiful courier.
I watch John @RoadTrainAdventures he’s interesting, I like the fact that his job is “the same thing but different”. I’m hoping to catch up with him when I’m over in March, just to show a different perspective on the job. Thanks for watching 😁

To be honest that was the plan with the weather, it’s been up in the 40c’s at my sisters, might have been a bit too warm for me! Besides a bit cooler means we can do stuff 😁 If you’re in the Perth area maybe we could catch up too? Get an idea how you think things are done differently there.

Thank you. There are many foreign nationals driving professionally in UK. I don’t know how you go about it, proving you are eligible to work here would be one thing I guess. I suggest contacting employment agencies in your own country who may have contacts here.
Thank you for you input. Yes Australian trucks are impressive. I’ve talked to many truckies when I’ve visited my sister. The thing that they are always shocked by is the spaces we have to get into. If you watch my video posted on 12th October you will get the idea. UK is a tiny place compared with Australia, it would be impossible to get those trucks around some of our roads. Also we are very highly regulated, fines came run into telephone number amounts, the main reason young people do not come into the industry. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the support. No not really. English in one form or another, American,Australian,African etc. is the most common language in the world.
