Hi Sherallin, great video. The ivy you're asking about is actually Virginia Creeper. Goes a gorgeous red colour in Autumn. Talking about shifts, my hubby was a shift worker for all of his working life. So when we took our first camping trip to France, we drove through the night, and when we got to Rouen, we stopped at a caravan eaterie on the side of the road. It was around 1:00am, and we got sausage and chips. Tom ate is with no problem, me? Know way. I don't know why, but my body seems to shut down to eat anything. I was even thinking of changing my working hours to work nights so I could be on a diet with no problem🤣🤣🤣
Maybe I'm wrong But' think you're the only truck driver that explains the intricacies of trucking in foreign countries. As you rightly say, there are drivers who do know the in's & out's, but' there's always the rookie who's New to trucking aboard. Keep up the good work....
Another fine video. You can bet the bureaucrat at H&S who came up with the idea to not allow the windows all the way down never drove or rode in a lorry for any length of time!! I wasn't aware that so many people were falling out of lorry windows to trigger such a rule!! Stay safe

Shame about independent truck stops closing, especially in Spain, if I started again it would definitely be all new, last tacho I used was paper in a CD like slot. I really do miss it though, health stopped me unfortunately. Thanks 😊
Another great video. Things look nice at night time. As much as I don't like driving at night because I get tired, I like it. Also as you're using the GoPro now, in the settings you can turn off the blinking red light so it doesn't reflect on the window at night. I see the screen on too. You can turn all of this off in the settings.
We've just got some new DAF s at work ( poverty spec as they rarely do nights out ) . Really comfy but wouldn't pull your hat off. Take care sherralin . looking forward to the next one

Hello, I don't know where you crossed the border from Holland to Germany but you said that you drove towards Hamburg and than Berlin. I drive this way at least once a year visiting relatives in Berlin but I never took the long way towards Hamburg. It's quite a bit shorter going towards Osnabrueck, Hanover, Magdeburg, Berlin and Frankfurt/Oder. Yes, Germany has recently started border checks, those checks are sporadic on most crossings but slightly more often on border crossings to Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland in an attempt to stop illegal immigrants

But of course if you are used to driving a more powerful vehicle then given one in a different power range . you may find it frustrating if you are mostly fixated on power.
