The overhead wires are an electric truck trial project. Electric trucks can charge on the go, using a pantograph (like a train). It's aneu trial project.
13:30 the reason for the road works is they are preparing to connect the German side with a tunnel into Denmark with a Femarhn belt project to cut down on travel time from Germany to Sjælland, its currently ongoing project and they are atm casting the concrete elements on the Danish side to make the tunnel, which is gonna be a joint motorway/railway tunnel.
@@GBtrucklady We love big engineering projects in Denmark, but we're running out of things to connect, maybe a bridge to Norway or a tunnel to the UK could be coming.... ;)
Thanks for taking me to some where I haven't been before, I really enjoyed the trip. Don't worry about the video being too long, I wish they were longer. Thanks again.
Yes, Sherralin, couldn't agree more about youngsters getting more interested in doing something rewarding. Being out in the open with wonderful views is so much more rewarding than being stuck in a gloomy office or factory. If only someone had told me that when I was young. Excellent video. Keep up the good work.
Not sure if you've seen the videos, but there is a famous underpass that "eats" trucks in North Carolina in the US, that was 11 feet 8 inches (3m 5.5cm). It was raised to 12 feet 4 inches (3m 7.6cm) and trucks still get caught on it. It's in a downtown area of one of the cities and has over-height warning signals and signs, yet people still attempt to go under it. Many times the tops of their trucks get a good shave off the top. Mostly they are what we call box trucks here in the US.
I do watch some American RUclips channels, Australian and other countries too. I like seeing how the job is “the same but different” everywhere. All the bridges in UK are 16’6” (5.02m) unless otherwise stated. In Europe however they are 13’1” (4m) unless otherwise stated. This can catch some out. This lorry runs very low and has a very low 5th wheel making the trailer lower by an inch or so from the tractor. I still wouldn’t have taken it under if I hadn’t be assured by the guy in charge that he’d measure it! 😂😁
Hi Sherralin yet another amazing video , I could not agree with you more about the amazing places we get to visit wile put on roads , I prefer Europe over uk driving any time , stay safe out there , keep smashing this amazing job we do & keep on trucking xxx
As you passed that funny type of building, you're coming off and saw a sign for Arnhem (A Bridge Too Far). That was my first town where my and my hubby camped way back. We were on our way to Germany where he was based when in the army (he was actually based at Belsen, where the concentration camp is). The British Army actually uses the disused Nazi barracks for the troops who worked at the camp. Looking at the peninsula in Denmark, you can actually take a ferry from Denmark to Iceland, stopping at the Faroe Islands. I think its only cars, campers, motorhomes, not lorries. And its a 66 hour crossing🤣. Being clear, I bet the sky will be brilliant to look at for stargazing
The wires over the road are for testing electric trucks. We have a stretch up here in Sweden as well. Yes, and I have driven that road through Denmark for 35 years. Stay safe!
I think that big building in Duisburg is probably an old grain store or suchlike. It is next to an old harbour basin which is now no longer used industrially and has since been turned into a marina.
Thanks Sherralin how much places have changed from my days , was a bit different when I was out there. For youngster starting out you have Sat navs mobile phones & no chasing around looking for customs ..
Great vlog Sherralin that did look tight with those bridges, do agree with you about younger drivers getting into the industry. My job hunt is on the back burner at the moment not given up will continue when I get my trip to Australia out the way early next year asking for a month off is a bit of a stumbling block stay safe and take care
thanks for video i had my last medical exam on november 6th and passed till my next birthday when i will be 75 yes i have add enough now but still got my class c1+ for my motorhome to visit my son in spain often passedmy hgv1in 1972 in the RAF plus other licenses and diesel mechanic/electricain
really enjoyed the creativity in this video! the journey from the UK to Denmark via Puttgarden was super interesting. but honestly, i wonder if taking the ferry is really worth it compared to just flying directly. seems like it could save time and hassle. what do you all think?
Hi Sherralin do you remember last year when i said can i have christmas dinner with you, And now Another year has passed ,thats quick .Have you been to NEUSHCWANSTINE ,CASTLE near fussen , Bavaria i worked front off house for 3 years .

The results will be interesting and how they make the electric to power the system.
Thank you 😁
Electric lorries it's a trail scene 🧐🤠🏴✊
Thank you 😁

Been late to the party on this one. Been off having a medical procedure . Getting my driving fix at the moment through your vlogs . Take care.

Could have been, someone said it’s a Museum now 😁
Thanks Sherralin how much places have changed from my days , was a bit different when I was out there. For youngster starting out you have Sat navs mobile phones & no chasing around looking for customs ..
Modern technology is great but you still need a bit of common sense! 😂 Customs can still be a faff to find sometimes 😂😁

G'day Sherralin. Great video. Hope to speak to you soon. Take care.
Hey Janine, hope you and your family are well. Jonno said he spoke to you recently, catch up soon. Safe travels. 😁
The overhead cables are for charging electric trucks. There are some, as an experiment, on the dual carriageway near Immingham.
Thank you 😁
thanks for video i had my last medical exam on november 6th and passed till my next birthday when i will be 75 yes i have add enough now but still got my class c1+ for my motorhome to visit my son in spain often passedmy hgv1in 1972 in the RAF plus other licenses and diesel mechanic/electricain

Hi Sherallin. Great video as usual. Are you missing the Spanish work? Truck safely.
Thank you.
Missing? I’m still doing that, just thought people would like to see what else the company does too 😁
really enjoyed the creativity in this video! the journey from the UK to Denmark via Puttgarden was super interesting. but honestly, i wonder if taking the ferry is really worth it compared to just flying directly. seems like it could save time and hassle. what do you all think?
Thank you.
The cost to fly this size of equipment is enormous and very prohibitive. 😁
Excellent video Sherralin, of all the countries you have driven through which is your favourite and why?
Thank you.
I haven’t got a favourite, everyone is different. 😁
👋...hola...😊
😁👋🏻Hi
@ 47:00 why did Kevin park skewed with a big gap in front?
Because the one on the other side wasn’t straight and he couldn’t fit! 😂😂 #Strangethingspeopleask! 😂🤣😂
one for me to watch later 👍
😁
Are you in the daf full time now.
Another great video
Full time until my boss changes me again 😂😂😂 I have said I’ll keep it till he buys me a Scania as I get fed up “moving house” 😂😂
Hello...the unusual building on the right on entering Duisburg contains the state archives of the State of North Rhein-Westphalia.
Wow, that explains why it’s an interesting looking building. Thank you 😁
Overhead wires are for electric truck trials, I recently watched a video on RUclips about it .
Thank you 😁
Hello✋👍👍👍
👋🏻 Hi 😁
Have you done a cab tour of the XG+ yet
No 😁
smash that like button people
Thank you 😁
Why did you not go Harwich to Esbjerg the drive straight across Denmark good road
Shipping port/ Train is down to wherever the customer has declared customs exit point. 😁
There is no ferry, only Harwich to the Hook.
@@Nurlechaffeur Immingham to Esbjerg, Has DFDS stopped this one as well as the Harwich route
Hi Sherralin do you remember last year when i said can i have christmas dinner with you, And now Another year has passed ,thats quick .Have you been to NEUSHCWANSTINE ,CASTLE near fussen , Bavaria i worked front off house for 3 years .
