- Yesterday, I turned 65 years of age - a time in life for deep reflection. What does it mean to enter into the last decades of one's life? We all die. And yet ,are we capable of comprehending the meaning of being? Some find religion as a solution to these age old questions. Others see religion as someone else's rodeo. Although I am not religious, I am spiritual. Ultimately, it is your destiny, your consciousness, that seeks to come to peace with the mortality we all share.
We all have a right to our own consciousness and how we come to terms with our death.
This is why the safe use of psilocybin mushrooms for end of life is - or should be - an inalienable right of passage. Hopefully we have evolved to respect each other's choice. This is why I support the legalization of psilocybin for end-of-life, a first step on the long path for full legalization. Nevertheless, we must be very disciplined and careful
FDA scientists have stated that they "have never seen a safer drug, with such dramatic impacts that requires such infrequent use".
Please support local, provincial/state and national initiatives for the therapeutic use of psilocybin so those seeking to come to peace with their mortality are not considered criminals at the end of their lives.
We are better than this.

I am considered terminal by medical doctors. This has actually helped improve my quality of life and my abilities to heal myself from within which has been the most beautiful experience of my life. Most that have known me throughout my life would say that I am more alive than most people without my health conditions. I applaud you and your courage for being able to stand up for those that cannot always stand up for themselves. Which I quite literally could not do for myself before this experience. Bravo Paul! My stepmother recently passed away from late stage alzheimers and she had a living will not to be put on machines to make her breath, so they gave her morphine to help ease her passing. Of course she was not awake for the final 3 days of her life so we couldn't say goodbye. Its a crime that psilocybin is not legal for end of life therapy for those in hospice who want to connect with the universe in a meaningful and spiritual way.

My mother begins this journey. I agreed to put her on the pharmaceuticals. I'm so sorry for your loss and now begin this process with her. She and I watched Dad pass with cancer under the influence of pharmaceutical death. Was it right?
Was it compassionate? Did hospice do this for him or us? I want the right to face my end as I and my God choose.
I would go one step further Paul and say that they should also become part of a cultural “coming of age” celebration/ceremony again, as they once were. Cheers

Agteed. I told my mother 3 weeks ago that if I died before her to just cover my nude body in a hand woven cloth and put me in a plain wooden box. No jewelry, no make up, no embalming, just me and the plants. Put an Apple tree on top of me.
I think embalming is one of the greatest scourges upon our earth. Many, many people have turned to cremation as a "greener" alternative but it honestly isn't that much better.
There are, for those who dont know and who happen upon this comment, a growing number of green burial locations springing up around the industrialized world (since the non-industrialized world hasn't ever bothered with the silly, chemical laden death fluff we got into over the last 150yrs since the Civil War). I am going to be laid in the ground wrapped in natural, biodegradable fabrics, in a shallow grave. My daughter can plant a tree near me, if she needs a spot to visit to feel close to me.
Though she knows we aren't really going to be apart.💜

@@Kimmaline oh yes Kimmaline, green buriels are on the rise, and the key is to do without great cost. As i read upon this, it stated 18 inches in a shallow grave which makes perfect sense. I am going wrapped in a hand-loomed merino wool blanket that was my great great grandfather's from his sheep .

I absolutely agree with this. I support the use of psychedelics as a personal sacrament for self exploration and healing. Psilocybin, micro LSD, and Ayahuasca , possibly MDMA or MMDA all can be helpful in this regard. Numerous studies attest to their efficacy in personal self transformation.
Thank you! There is a very mentally strong but physically weak 98 yr old in my family who has fallen into serious depression; surviving both children and spouse. I wondered if micro-dosing with psilocybin might help combat their depression and boredom. In maybe 10-20 years that may be allowed, but in the meantime my loved one is set apart in a very nice but very lonesome nursing home. But my loved one doesn’t have that kind of time. I doubt they’d want to even try such a thing but the option should be legal. Thank you for your help in pushing that timeline along!

@Ник Р. Lot's of things. I closed my eyes and it was colors and shapes and things were breathing. I kept seeing tons of cubensis growing out of the darkness and they would hover and rotate. I kept thinking I was having revalations and learning secrets of the universe but then I would forget it and move to something else, but it felt ok like that's how it's supposed to be. I saw some scary things like a demon cloud coming down and eating up all my wonderful shapes and colors but I was able to just laugh at it. When I walked around I always had a feeling that I knew what was around the corner before I got to it, and I was right. I felt like a wizard. I ate a gram, then maybe 30min later another gram, after that I actually stopped weighing them and just picked mushrooms out of the bag that spoke to me. I didn't eat them all at once, but I ate them by the time the first dose was really kicking in. I started with an oz and it turned out I ate about 6.5g of small/medium cubes. For not having sleep I feel surprisingly well. I just decarbed some weed and ate it so I'm just gonna relax and reflect now.

Love this man and the work he does, Psylicibin helped me get back into my head after what seemed like a lifetime of being a zombie and simply following other peoples plans, my mind is my own again, ive lost the urge to drink and do any other drugs, ive regained the need to learn and live a healthy and happier life, im not sure anything else could have gotten through to me the way i used to be. Beautifully said! Thank You! I took care of my mom as she slowly passed away from melanoma. She was religious but had many questions about the other side at the end. She was also pumped full of morphine which made her “out of it” I KNOW she would have had a much better experience using mushrooms even though I have yet to use them myself. Her Dr even recommended using thc...even saying she would give her some if she wanted (we’re in in an illegal state) but b/c of the laws being against it...she refused & said she’d only use if it was legal. It is very sad & a shame that these natural substances are being w/held from the ppl who would benefit the MOST from them! I have many health issues & KNOW for a FACT they’d help me too....even my therapist said I was a perfect candidate for them but nope...b/c of the laws against them. Thank You for continuing to spread the word to the ppl who need to hear it the most & Plz keep fighting the good fight for ppl like my mom, me, & millions of others who truly need this & don’t want to depend on synthetic substances anymore!! ☮️💟🌞

Amen brother! mushrooms enhanced my connection to God as well as heightened my understanding of what we're up against during our stay in this trial universe. As a result I've at least tried to maintain a Godly lifestyle.
I JUST FELT THE SHARED EXISTENCE 2 DAYS AGO FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE ON LSD AND SHROOMS!!! The Soulbombing experience was soo intense and revealed so much about myself and cosmic awareness and the shared existence. The separation of the self or “EGO DEATH” experience taught me about the never ending cycle of life and death of the universe, including us, and the continued transformation of existence over and over and over and over. The shrooms kept telling me about THE FIBONACCI SEQUENCE OF MY BEING and I remember having this profound idea out of nowhere, I did not even know what the fibonacci sequence was!!! I was listening to Pink Floyd under the covers when I had that thought and the song MONEY came on and I remember forgetting immediately and crying out that MONEY TOOK THAT AWAY!!!! PINK FLOYD’S MONEY IS TAKING AWAY FROM THE FIBRONACCI OF MY BEING!!! I wrote many notes for my future self on any psychological breakthroughs and faced my fear of self-loathing in the mirror again and again. I kept telling myself not to be afraid of myself because I have an issue with dissociation and myself as a person, I may go into many different tones and accents in a conversation with others and it can be perceived as strange or quirky...These times I faced myself in the mirror I spoke softly and calm tone to tell myself there is nothing to be afraid of because I control my mind and I sprout the seeds of fear. If I am scared of my image inside or out then I should conquer such fears. I then proceeded to make demonic faces and bulged my eyes while crossing them. This created an image of a hybrid werewolf of my face and I remember facing it and saying “There is nothing to be afraid of, this is you and you are the one who can conquer this side of you” it was crazy enlightening, it made me rethink my agnosticism and more about all the spiritual cosmic stuff hippies with crystals talk about. There is a reason, there isn’t always an understanding, however, I was in the perfect set and setting for these thoughts and had meditated in intervals many times in preparation for such thoughts. This is beautiful...everything is beautiful, just as nothing is. For everything is born from nothing first....then after...then again...and over.

I had my first experience at age 17yo and it changed my perspective on life for the duration of my life. Maybe it's my native lineage or just growing up so close to nature? I strongly believe our purpose in this life is to Love each other and this beautiful earth- plants and animals. I think Greed is root of all the harm we do to same. Think about it.
I don't believe we're here to serve a particular god, because what god advocates such destruction and contradictory believe system? Certainly we are all subject to unchanging universal law and not flawed greedy belief system.
