    Hello sir! I just took every bit of Magneti Marelli off of my bike. Then installed the Mikuni hsr 45 kit and the ultima ignition system I watched you install. 98 road king now I don’t know where to pull power from to the coil. I have lights and it cranks but the red light on the ignition stays on and won’t turn off when I shift it around in the nose cone. What do I do next? Directions please. Thank you!

      @butlercustoms  Год назад +1

      I’d be happy to help. If you will email me at butlercustomsmotorcycleshop@gmail.com we can correspond more efficiently. But from your comment, I would verify that you are on TDC (top dead center) on the compression stroke for the front cylinder. You can also look at the inspection hole by removing the plug to verify by the flywheel that you are in the correct revolution placement before setting your timing. Thanks for reaching out!

    hey dude! great video so far, but can you tell how to remove the stud where the front muffler is attached? i wanna change to a bolt since Iam switching to a custom sprocket cover. But that sucker does not move a milimeter. I had two nuts on it bur stripped the outer one. It keeps making headaches

      damn! thought About that or glued in with crazy hard stuff since there is threads on the engine side. I even killed one nut by trying to take it off (I used two trying to get it out like on exhaust studs you know). I dont wanna hurt the hoses in that area otherwise inwould just use a heat gun and try that

    THE VEN NUMBER ON THE FRAME HAS TO BE THE SAME AS THE ENGINE NUMBER THAT BIKE WILL BE IMPOUNDED. THE RIGHT THING TO DO IS FILE A LEAIN ON IT AND GET THE LEAGEL PAPER WORK THROUGH THE D.M.V

    • @butlercustoms
      @butlercustoms  8 месяцев назад +1

      For this year bike the VIN numbers are for the frames only. The motor serial numbers are different than the VIN number. In the older Harleys the only title number was on the motor, but that all changed in 1981 with the federal 17 digit VIN numbers.

    • @butlercustoms
      @butlercustoms  8 месяцев назад +1

      It’s the same as a car. If you have a title matching the frame you can put whatever motor you want in it.
