The story about the girl that got into Art School is a nice story. It sometimes just takes that one person to offer somebody encouragement for that person to believe in themselves and make their dreams happen.
I had an extremely tough upbringing and unfortunately I never had that person but I try to talk to my daughters friends and encourage them to do whatever it is they want to do.
It's just takes a sentence of support to inspire someone...My niece who I think was at the age of 12 just started piano lessons and I told her that it would be fantastic if she can play "Flight of The Bumble Bee" on the piano cause only great talented pianists can do it....She graduated from the Etobicoke School of The Arts and is on her third year at McGill University and not only does she play the piano but the Cello too....And yes she can play Flight of the Bumble Bee, like a professional pianist.🤣😁
I had no one as a kid, but vowed to become that supportive person as an adult.
And that is why you're winning as a parent. Two thumbs up!

When I was little, about 3, my favorite song was "Shark Baby" a.k.a. "Mack the Knife" by Bobby Darin. I played it so much that my father once disconnected the speakers of our stereo out of desperation, and told me the stereo was "tired". Nobody ever told me what the song was really about, and I had no clue. I thought it was about a shark. My parents just let me dance to it and have fun. Let kids be kids!
I taught my niece "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" when she was little.
That can have its limits though... I loved Bowie's "Suffragette City" when I was 12, till Mum caught me shouting "Wham bam thank you Ma'am!'" in the bathroom one day. I was not popular. SO oblivious :-D

Edit: for more info, I usually have nightmares and in these nightmares I'm being chased by a serial killer and a lot of people die very gruesome deaths. I don't know why because I don't watch gore or brutal movies. My dreams are just messed up.
Any day when you're not being chased by a serial killer is a good day.

When I'm stressed, I tend to have dreams where I am the serial killer but unaware of it till right before I wake up. So I'm running around afraid of the "killer" and am then horrified to find out it is me. Too many movies for me.

I deal with depression and anxiety myself and was out on a LOA from work since February 22nd, and just went back to work on Monday last week. I'm not much better, but I found Charlotte about a week after stopping work. She has definitely been my rock, and certainly helped me make it through my situation and make the difficult days much easier. I used to be a private art teacher and I was amazed at how many of my students went into the arts after high school
I've read a few of them. Every so often I'll read another one, and it's sort of the basic agreement for almost all of them. Things like, "No harassing people, no stocking, no all caps for any reason, no insulting, no s3x!ng..." basically, be a nice person. Some include, "You can't sell any account you make and if you do you risk an IP ban" and other provisions but it's usually pretty basic.

Only a few states actually call all sodas coke. It's typically pop or soda or even the combined soda pop. It's so confusing to me when I see people say this. How do you know which coke you want?
When I lived in Scotland I got totally confused by people calling sodas "juice". The closest a can of cola (see what I did there *preen*) comes to juice is when it's been driven by an apple tree.

I've been working in a support capacity for over 20 years. Started in tech support for printers, then went into sales then email and now back to printer tech support. All the things I've heard and seen would be enough for at least a couple dozen videos. We are the unsung heroes that keep technology running, and still have to put a smile on our face when connecting a printer to a network for the umpteenth time in a day. I wish we could get a tip for every call...
Recorded message: "Hello, you have reached Printer Tech Support. Just throw it away and buy a new one"

My favorite IT guy story.... I managed a store in an hurricane prone area. Anytime we shut down for a hurricane all electronics had to be unplugged and stored on upper floors. So I'm trying to set back up after my first hurricane at this location and I find that no one thought to label any cords when unplugging routers, credit card equipment, monitors etc. So I phoned IT and asked for a wiring diagram to help organize this chaos.
The guy literally faxed me a drawing of a box with a cord going to another box. That was it "cord connects to 2 different peripherals"
This was the IT department serving 1200 stores. 🤦♀️
I usually read the terms and conditions on sites I don't trust (Twitter, Facebook, RUclips, PayPal, etc), but don't bother for obscure sites in only using once to get this cool statuette I can't find anywhere else.

Re your zombie dream. When each of my kids turned 3 they started to have nightmares. We taught them that nightmares were caused by elemental spirits which feed off of fear vibrations, but, they were way more powerful than any elemental and could do anything they could imagine doing to beat up the elemental. It took each of them 2 nights to get it right and on the third morning they would tell us how they beat up their elemental. They never had nightmares after that.
These videos always make my day better and how cool that hoodies are coming back, tempted to buy one! :)

A friend told me about a sleepwalking nightmare she had about thinking she had Covid.
She woke up with an open can of tuna on her dresser.

I actually volunteered to read the terms and conditions of Facebook for a school project, as I was the only one in the class who didn't have an account. That was back in 2014. Now it's common knowledge, but even back them they deliberately hid the more questionable stuff behind difficult phrasing that even the language teacher had hard time reading it - and I can personally attest she's excellent. So yeah, that was another reason in my "why I don't have Facebook" list.

I made one of my sims a vampire and built a dungeon in the basement where he held other sims so he had an infinite food source, and if he wanted to get rid of them he drowned them and put the urn on his fireplace.

In the Sims 3, you don't need the rosebud cheat. Just buy a red berry bean at the grocery store, farm it until barren, then plant all the harvest from it, farm those until barren, repeat as necessary. Perfect red berry beans sell for 200 simoleons each, and if you plant a 5 x 5 garden with a sprinkler in the center (make sure you upgrade the sprinkler to auto-water) You can make 80-100k simoleons for each set of plants (harvested until barren), and just keep 24 seeds from the last harvest to plant a new garden after you dispose of the barren plants. Your sim can make buttloads of money in just a few hours a day.

I actually do that with my niece when she’s in the bath.
We play dolls and then she wants to do her ‘swimming competition’
Which equates to me standing over a water saving bath and her basically soaking the three towels I have to put down.
I have to give a sports commentary (really loudly, ya know, for effect) she then sits up really quickly and we both cheer, again, really loudly.
She loves it.
After she’s dry I have to take the towels to drain a spin so I can wash them because of the huge amount of water.
We also watch the voice because she’s addicted to music.
We will shout “turn that chair, turn that chair” then if they do we cheer super loudly but if they don’t and we think they are good then we will boo the judges lol.

My brother use to do those sports announcer routines while we were doing some idiotic acrobat maneuver at home or even outside on occasion....but then old age happens and all I do now is do the Before/After stomach/chest routine in front of the mirror.🤣😂
