Our music teacher gave us this song to analyse in high school for our end of year assignment. I was a huge Enz fan as my older sister's used to hang out with them in the 70's. My school report was the best LOLhaha
One of their most-fascinating tunes... The polyrhythm of the melody against the rhythmic bed is deceiving, but makes perfect sense. The escalation from a North Atllantic-, even Celtic-sounding folk song, into almost a War Chant, and back again, is like nothing I've ever heard, and sets off the autobiographical lyric beautifully.
I'm waiting for the Time Bandits to march through the door.
Gotta love the Enz. Best nz band ever....

I had not heard this in over 30 years. It suddenly popped into my head. Given the age we live in I went straight to RUclips and there it was...
Is reminds me of Gentle Giant

A sea shanty hiding inside a pop song
The drum fill starting at 0:23 reminds me of those British Paints ads with Rolf Harris.
lol, rolf and tim should do a collaboration maybe, accompaniment including wobbleboard, the thing with stubbie caps etc
10 lb baby is pretty big....How big is this guy anyway?
Noel Crombie would be into it
