Someone pointed out that I tell you to enter your public IP into the port forwarding IP address. You should be putting your computer’s local IP address there instead. The public IP is what your friends use to connect to you.
@@GloDc If you use windows press windows key + r and type in cmd and press enter. When the command prompt opens type in ipconfig. Note down the IPv4 Address of your computer and fill that in when trying to port forward. If you still need help there are a lot of guides online which you could use.
@GloDc bring up cmd or powershell type ipconfig. The IV4 address is what you use for local. Then Google my IP and that will give you the public address. If your giving your friends a 168 or 192 that's the local behind a nat. If your router has a dmz setting just enable it arris modems have that option then. You don't half to port forward.

How do you know how many players your computer can support as a dedicated palworld server? What would be the minimum hardware specs requirements for a server of 12 players?

Keep in mind that there is a differance between your public IP (what you can google) and your local IP. Many routers have a slot for your IPv4 adress and will require that one since anyone connecting to the server will already be using your public IP or DNS address to connect to the server. the router then needs to know to what device on your local network to send the data to via IPv4 adress. Ease to find out by opening your RUN program (windows). Hold the windows key and hit R. Then type in CMD into your run window. Once in there you can type in "ipconfig /all" and most of your IP info can be located in there. You will want to find your IPv4 and it will usually have (preferred) at the end of the IP but you just need the numbers

You just need to run the same configuration steps for each location. Then when you change locations the ip you go to to join will change. The better idea usually is have the computer stationary that's hosting and connect from wherever you are on a different pc.
I couldn't increase the limit on how many pals can be stationed per camp. default is 15, but I want it to be 20. It doesn't work for some reason. I found out a flaw in this tutorial and it was causing me 3 days of frustration. You said look up "Whats my IP" on google and put it in your port forwarding. This is false. you put the private IP of the device (PC you're running your server on) you're forwarding the port to into the internal ip spot. The internal and external ports should be the port you're forwarding. external ip is left blank. The public IP which should be different from the private ip you put in the port forwarding should be the ones your friends are using.
also did not even do the cmd with the "ipconfig /all" command. I wonder what IP he used to connect to the server with as if it was his public IP i would of expected it to fail vs a LAN IP THough for your or anyone else having issues I did leave a somewhat detaild responce under his pinned comment regarding your responce.
