Indeed nowadays addresses are dynamic so they change every time the game loads (DMA, dynamic memory allocation). So exactly I use a breakpoint ('find what reads/writes to this address') to find static offsets/pointers instead. Usually to change the actual assembly/opcodes. For example, if every time I level up the game DECreases my available level-ups, I change DEC to INCrease. Writing one simple opcode to a static address, and now I always have another level ready to use, every time I use a level-up. Changing memory directly with CT or C++/etc. (writeprocessmemory) works, otherwise you can load a .DLL or otherwise or etc. I also planned on making a video of me doing all this from scratch to finish for a random game. Anyway, my goal now is to learn how to make my own .CT file so I don't have to compile my own hack loader everytime lol. Thanks!

Just a word of warning. Cheat engine came with a Trojan Crypto miner when I installed it that runs in the background hampering your computers performance. The program is disguised as steampak.exe located in your program data folder. The process is called XMRig, and it will disappear when you open task manager soon after opening it, but you might be able to see it for a second or two. If you have it, download Norton Power Eraser to remove this garbage. I discovered this issue while playing BG3 and the game would stutter sometimes along with the sound. Thought I'd pass this info along.

I need help badly. I've done everything stated above plus I successfully started USB helper and such. I'm running into trouble when configuring the XInput. I've done everything else, and yet whenever I press the "Controller" button after selecting XInput as my API, nothing pops up.
