How you get the saves to transfer over from a Single player steam instance to a dedicated server? I am unable to get the Guilds to properly transfer. I've been using the pal world save transfer tool but nothing works, any idea?
So I believe I did everything right in the beginning but I don't get the ini files. I tried deleting it and run the server application again and nothing. Its just defaultworkd settings no ini please help

trying to set up a dedi server. go to steam then library>search (all)>tick tools>type palworld and nothing shows up. i own the game on xbox. not pc. and i am trying to set a dedi server for my friends and myself. what am i doing wrong?
For now Xbox can't do the dedicated servers but there has been news that they're working on it to add to Xbox

I have an issue. I've got my server up and running. Except when my friends join they get an error saying: "Connection server time out". While I'm successful in joining.
I've tried making the game run as administrator but that gave me a different error making the game impossible to open until that box was unchecked. So back to square one.
I've read that it's not just My IPv4 that i have to check but I have to make sure other's routers are also set to IPv4 instead of IPv6 right?

Iv4 is your local address. The ip you give your friends is different. Google my ip and that's what you give your friends.
Your IPv4 address and your public IPv4 address for your friends to join, will be different. They have to use your public one. He shows you where to go to get your public ip address. That’s the one your friends need to use to be able to get in. Will be different than the one you use to enter.
@@FeytalYeah, I've given them my public ip adress. For security reasons I can't drop it in the comments to verify that im using the correct one but I'm certain I gave them the right one.
I've come across this thread that has helped me understand a little more and I think this is the main problem:
Devices on LAN (internal network) are able to connect to the server, however devices on WAN (external network) for some reason are being blocked. I haven't found the reason just yet.
I don't have a VPN. I'm looking into my firewall and other DMZ options today.

@@poopcheek The issue is likely that of it being a UDP based server, instead of TCP.
TCP and UDP function noticeably different than one another, and it's your NAT that's preventing the UDP access regardless of what port you're going to set it to.
In your case, you'll likely have to set up a tunnel, or VPN. Zerotier, OpenVPN, and more will all allow you to configure a tunnel that will expose the server for people to connect to (it won't show on the community list though, regardless of settings due to how they function) without the clients needing to install anything.
Your other option would be disabling NAT, but that's a LOT more difficult and can break your internet if you don't know how to do it.
Did the server auto save every minutes? Or i need to login to game and use /save command everytime before closing the server?

You have to let the server file running, you don't have to be in the game yourself but you can't stop the SERVER process. So don't turn off ur pc

i did my own server but once i closed it and came back the next day i got bugged and couldnt use my stuff. it created a new character and had no access to my stuff
Did you change anything in the files or did you change machine?
We had issues with this when someone left a guild. It broke the game for everyone. Not sure if this is what you ran into.

Easiest thing to do is to enter 8211 on all of those. Start port and End port is in case you want a range of ports, like if you have multiple servers running on different ports.
No need to worry about that tho, inputting 8211 (Which is the game server ports), then you should be fine.
You might also want to portforward 27015-27016 if you want to have it listed as a community server, but for just you and your friends it shouldn't matter.
After set up the server, how i can transfer my solo progress into this server?

@@XxVermyxX I don't think it does. You have go have the palworld dedicated server cmd open. When you close that, it closes the server.
