I’m really loving these videos, the length is great, the quiet parts are great when you’re cooking or your wife is…when you’re trying to be quiet in the morning while you eat…it’s all good and positive vibes! Hope these continue for a while. Oh and turn on the lights when you’re in the house cooking lol…I saw an old video today and you used to. Why is it always dark in the house now?! 😂😂 I need to know!! Came back to edit my comment, those shoes are hella squeaky lmbo!
18:21 sums it up perfectly. The natural ride is incredible, a first timer to "super shoes" and a elite runner could grab these and have a blast. Also also...man I'm glad you got to switch up the running path, but sucks it turned out to be a mudslide.
This shoe seems like cool tech that’s still in beta testing. Tried it on last weekend and jogging ten steps in store was enough to be sure that loose toebox area in the upper would drive me crazy.
Thanks for the great review, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on these! I think the upper issues might not be an issue for someone like me with a higher volume foot, and seems to be a recurring trend with On shoes. BTW I don't recall where I saw it but some people have reported that the insole was glued in on their pair which would solve that issue.
I totally support your wariness of off-leash dogs on your runs. Behind the fences though, a lot of dogs like to put on a show. My Malinois and my previous dog (a Pitbull) both liked to act all crazy at the fence but both have been sweet to every person they've met because I chose dogs with a friendly temperament. I never let mine off leash though because I don't want to scare anyone.
I still say take the Clouds to the race. That fabric bump sticks up, not down into your foot. But I'm wondering about some other shoes that I'm not sure you ran enough in to really thoroughly review and compare to the field. I'm really considering Hoka Rocket X if I need a new shoe of that sort soon. (Did you just run in it once?) Or maybe the new adidas Pro.
I borrowed the rocket x2 from a friend for review - I will probably pick up another pair to test more after Chicago. I really liked it - similar to the puma deviate elite but a little lighter and softer in my memory
After about 18mi in the cloudboom striker I haven't gotten it dialed in for long races..started them in a half on Saturday morning cos I knew it was a 2 loop race that started and finished in a parking lot..I always have a spare of shoes in the car and I change if I want to..I knew I needed too switch at parking lot and finished in my NB elite V3..the striker is a solid 10sec a mile faster, but something not quite what I wanted for my feet on the day..more experiments needed..😊
@@Benny685685 So cool to here dude 🙌🙏 I think that is easily possible for if you put in the work and have the grit and termination to finish that shit no matter what comes 🔥🙏 I believe in you 💪

Seems like a bit of gorilla glue on the insole would solve one of the niggles on the Cloudboom? It's not like there's any benefit to removing that midsole?
If you're looking in this price range I'd go Cielo X1 over this - it's more stable, cushioned and battle tested at this point. Can't go wrong with the cielo
Are you sure the squeaking is from the removable midsole and not from the small “cloud” openings? That’s where the squeak usually comes from in On shoes, and can be fixed with some WD40….
Yeah it's definitely from the insole. I can hear it coming from the front area and I can feel some slight movement up there when I'm walking. It's a weird set up
I know this is off topic and feel free to delete, but as a European I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would even consider voting for Kamala 🤔
Because there are only two political parties in the US people usually vote for the candidate from their party. Also the other candidate is a very polarizing figure in America
Chill Larry vibes when the kids are in the car but once they are out it’s future cranked up to the max 😈
What’s crazy is the Mach X2 feels more comfortable and MAYYYBE just as fast as the Endorphin Pro 4. Foam tech is on point these days.

Just seconding that I love the vibes, even though I am sometimes guilty of jumping chapters cause I don’t always have the time to watch the full vid.
Love the Cielo X1. I've trained in it at all paces and feels great at marathon pace and faster and so much fun!
This footage makes for a great virtual treadmill run 🙌
T-minus till Chicago!! Time to activate that mamba mentality… lesgo!

I am lol-ing at the first 2 minutes when it goes from “ok have a good day at school vibe” to “slamming future’s new album vibe” 😂

Lovely review 👏 I will run Chicago marathon with my Tyr ..
Thanks for the shoe cleaning tutorial. My Ghosts were awful after several muddy moments. You would have been embarrassed to be seen with me!!🤣🤣
Let’s gooo bro let’s get it in

Actually, I wonder if a new Rocket will be coming soon. A little lighter would be great.

Picked my pair up used for $250 NZD ($150USD)! Stoked for my marathon in a month
What’s your biggest goal for the race? Which marathon race is it?
@@pranayama-running-Jendrik I’m aiming for under 3:30, which would be a 20 minute pb. It’s the Auckland Marathon!

Thinking of picking up a pair of the On Cloudstrike to replace my NB SC elite v4. Aiming for a 90min half in December. Are they roomy at the toe box?
you really should try the NB SC elite v3, a lot softer than the V4 which you'll probably like

Easier to dry out if the shoe is soaked.
For an all-out 5K or 10K race, would you pick the Strike or Vaporfly 3?

Good job Mr Williams! 🙌🏽💪🏽
I’m a little late but I’m here 😂🙋♂️
Would you recommend this shoe for a first time Marathon?

Probably a lil bit overtighten, i have same issue on my Cloudsurfer7.
Where would you put the vaporfly when it comes to comfort and bounce?
👍
Should have worn trail shoes for the trail. 🤷♂️
Maybe this will popularize it as a trail raver and someone will win UTMB in it.
Lol the main section of the greenway is paved asphalt
I have the bump on my new balance
Just have to tie it all the way tight and I forget about it
Definitely would rather not have it tho
when is the ls
Not sure but I probably won't try the Lightspray version since the midsole is the same
do you use wet paper towels because I heard that water damgages racing shoes. I was wondering how i can clean my white alphafly 3s.
Yeah I always use wet paper towels. Wiping down with water definitely won't hurt your shoes
