- Ever had one of those days when you needed to be out the door quick and you were still in your pajamas? In today's video, I'm doing outfit, hair and makeup in just 10 minutes!! I'll show you lots of shortcuts you can take to get you out the door quick. Brilliantly done video. I am a pain in the morning, I get up before everyone and spend an hour getting ready.... sometimes even more. Hair, full makeup always on. Ex hubby rings, our son is very unwell, he's bringing him home to see if I think he needs the hospital...need to be ready in 10 mins ..... it's amazing how much one can achieve in that 10 minutes. Thankfully Zachri was fine, he was in hospital overnight as a precaution but home the next day.

You are such a blessing and I was thrilled to hear you are a Christian! I KNEW there was something special & beautiful about you (both inside and outside beauty) that drew me to you! You "glow" from the inside out and I now see its the beauty of the Lord Jesus reflecting on your very pretty face ☺️
I always loved makeup all my life (had tackle boxes filled with makeup!) And one of the most fun thing for me in my younger days was spending hours in front of my makeup mirror and trying many different cosmetics and finding some new techniques. LOL
However, now that I am 70 years old and lost much of my youthful skin, hair, eyebrows and eyelashes (which were once so thick people thought I wore false eyelashes) I lost most of my hair due to genetic disorder and autoimmune problems. So I lost all interest in makeup and threw away most of my makeup except for a bare minimum of an eyebrow pencil (because I needed some thing above my eyes, right??), a light blush and mascara (sometimes lipstick).
But I saw one of your videos and felt that spark of interest in makeup once again...maybe not as daring and bold as when I was younger, but maybe I could learn something new and check out new products that might help take a few years off my aging (and sagging face). I especially enjoyed the video you made where you applied makeup to your mom - I could certainly relate to that one! I hope you do more for older women.
I enjoy just watching you put on makeup and listening to your sweet happy voice 😁 There's just something about listening to you that makes me feel good (I think we both know WHO that is coming through you!) You have a very joyful and sweet spirit that cheers me (and that definitely helps me as I often suffer from clinical depression).

I had to laugh because I found myself in this same situation yesterday 😂 I had to throw myself together in a hurry and I did it in 20 mins.Then what really surprised is the compliments I was getting all day on how nice I looked 😊I realized .....that even though there are times when we don’t have a lot of time to get ready we can still look fantastic !!

That was awesome! We've all been there lol. Isn't it amazing how we come up with these little tricks to get out quick?! We can get some nasty nor'easter storms here in the Winter and lose power overnight. I always keep a spray bottle of water and baby wipes handy for those mornings. Great video!

My ten min is pretty much identical to yours! Nice to know I’m prepping and primping the proper way lol. You make it look so effortless. Because I’m a little chubby my outfit takes a bit longer for me to feel comfortable with the final look. I miss being thinner. Every day life tasks were truly easier when I was. #YouMotivateMe

As well as that highlighter in the corner of each eye. Really made all the difference, didn’t it?!! Oh, and love those eyeglass frames 👓. I normally wear contacts, and due to my recent “older” age (turned 50 back in June), I need bifocals. So I wear mono-vision contacts. Right eye sees distance. Left eye sees up close. Works well for me, but I know I need a pair of (bifocal) glasses, too. Love those frames, for sure. Thank you again!!!!

My eye doctor warned me that once I turned 40 that up close vision would start to go....looks like you did pretty well not having to go to bifocals until 50!😘 Glad to know that mono-vision contacts have worked for you....I do enjoy not having to wear glasses all the time. Warby Parker is the maker of my glasses and I've been really impressed with them!

Oh wow girl you're good! I could never do that. I would need at least 30 to 45 mins. Normally it take me 3 to 4 hrs. Yes I know that's long, but I like to take my time. Don't like to be rushed or anyone to rush me. Lol! Also I like to clean up after myself and put things back nice and neat. :) Besides as you get older like my age there's more to fix up and cover. I'm so glad you enjoyed this and felt inspired to give it a try!! I honestly didn't think I could do all of this in 10 minutes. I much prefer my 1-2 hour get ready time in the mornings😘. Both my top and jeans are from JCPenneys. I bought them last year though. The top brand is a.n.a. and the jean capris are by Love Indigo....definitely among my favorites!

That was fast! I like your eve glass choice. They are very flattering! I have below shoulder length graying hair. Not really a style. I have a very busy life, caring for an aging parent, grandkids, properties, etc. I really don't do much to my hair. I pull it up and go. Not sure I want to get it cut short or not. I've had it long for most of my life, but it's getting thinner as I age and ugh the gray changes everything about how it handles and I don't want the maintenance of color My hair is fine but on the thick side even though it is thinning and I have an annoying wave around my face. Any suggestions?? Just need some girl chat! LOL
Thank you, sweet lady! Hey, I am always up for some good girl chat😘 As someone who had shoulder length or longer hair most of her life, I think there are definitely a LOT of benefits to short hair! I love being able to have a sassy style done in minutes that stays pretty much fuss-free all day. I’ve heard from several ladies lately that just chopped their hair off and feel like they have found a new lease on life💕 And, I think the shorter style would be easier to transition to gray. Now, short hair does have to be cut regularly and more often than longer styles. But I think of it as an excuse to have one hour to relax in the salon chair🥰

I think the worst thing I've encountered since restarting makeup, ( after a near 20 year absence,) Is MAKING UP MY MIND, would help if I knew what I wanted to wear the night before, or possibly have an outfit picked out, as an emergency out the door thing, I don't have a ton of make up but what I do have, I still have to make up my mind ** Ha ha** life of an artist. I'm trying to embrace a softer palette, so I don't look like I crawled out of Sat Night Fever! ** My hair would be a problem, straight, and I really want it shorter, but even that has it's time frame, a ponytail is so much faster, but did that for 45 yrstd. boring! *LOL* You make it look easy,, I can do it I can do it, thank you!

Would love your recommendation of a good concealer for covering brown spots on the face? I’ve tried several varieties and have not been satisfied with any of them.
Have you ever tried using a color corrector first? One I've just recently been trying and loving is the Sephora Collection Bright Future Corrector in the shade "Melon". Any peach colored corrector will help fix the tone and then you can apply concealer over it and usually that makes a HUGE difference!

Great video! I’m heading out on a 3 weeks motorcycle trip with husband and friends...I’d rather sleep longer in the morning so I’ll have 10 minutes to get my makeup on in the morning with “limited” products...and limited space for said products...I’ll report back on how I did in a few weeks 🏍 🏍🏍. Love the glasses. You look like a sexy librarian in them. Ten minutes, foundation, eyebrows and mascara, maybe even a little eyeshadow. My face is red enough without blush so I rarely wear it. I have long hair that can be twisted up in 10 seconds.
