You're very real, ...yes, if were lucky enough to get older, we have lines and wrinkles, etc...and I love how you do your make-up,... just enough to blend and give a smooth look to your face, brighten it up a bit, put some colour in there, accent and 'open' the eyes.... and look great 👍 ❤ don't stop doing these posts Patti..I'm 63 and I'm inspired by your great looks and aspire to be like you (and my aunt, who's 82 and looks as good as 62, runs around like a 20yr old, and is an inspiration!!) I'm 26 and this is one of the rare makeup videos that I actually enjoyed. No botox, no filler. Just a natural looking normal person who is not trying to influence me to go get plastic surgery and showing it's ok to get wrinkles and you are beautiful at every age ❤

What is the meaning of this? Everyone is mature and is real in their own being doesn't matter if they decide to use extras or not. Inspite looks also everyone differently in different ages. Wrinkles have nothing to do with a certain age. Everyone has them, even babies.
@KC-bi6bw No age has a particular look because nobody looks the same in an age. Besides that depends also a lot on your genetics and life style how skin develops. Although skin lose elasticity nevertheless by time.

I love how youtube recommended this video of yours to me. As a 21 year old, I wanna look just like you when I’m your age. So refreshing to see a natural person look so effortlessly beautiful.
It's extremely refreshing. Especially with all the insane standards all these celebrities and influencers push. Like when is enough enough?!. It's tiring. And what is really sad is so many women permanently disfigure their faces with extreme amounts of plastic surgery when they looked beautiful before.. like I'm all for a little Botox or filler. What I'm talking about is the unhealthy obsession. To the point there's clearly dysmorphoia or something being ignored by plastic surgeons. It definitely should be regulated better. Because a lot of people need therapy not surgery.

At the ripe old age of 29, I've been frantically trying to find a bunch of makeup tutorials on how to avoid emphasizing smile lines and other face lines. Now watching your video, I realize how silly that is. Aging is so beautiful, and it's such a blessing that we can take for granted. Who cares if my makeup creases from me smiling a lot? I hope to be expressing myself as beautifully as you do when I am your age. ❤ I wonder if my makeup techniques will change a lot in that time. You are an inspiration, thank you for your content. ❤
Yes! Take care of yourself, physical and mental health, take care of your skin, smile as much as you can. Those lines just mean you're leading a VERY happy life 🥰
I'm in my 70's...I wish I'd worn sunscreen daily (not just what is in my foundation) and I wish I'd never taken up drinking through a straw to keep my teeth free from coffee and tea stains. You can easily get your teeth cleaned or whitened but using that straw and getting those deep wrinkles...nope... I've never smoked in my life but I have those lines around my lips and on my lips..I never thought how sucking through a straw could cause such deep wrinkles.....You are young enough to prevent/minimize these kinds of wrinkles. We can't stop aging but there are some practical things we can do that will make a difference long term. These things I mentioned are proactive vs waiting until you have damage and then trying to treat it with topical lotions, etc and/or trying to cover it up. When it comes to deep wrinkles, the more you try to cover them up the worse it makes them look....there is no way to hide them...and it's hard to not notice them when you're bare-faced.
I started to wear Oil of Olay for sensitive skin SPF 30 when I was 27 as I was starting to get frown lines. Well, at age 60, I have no frown lines and my older sister wanted to know if I got Botox! Nope. Protect your skin first. You won't regret it. 😊

Today is the first time I had the privilege to see you. I'm 65....it can be challenging to live in a society that tells us that "young and beautiful" is all that is desirable. I've spent my share of money on "products" that promise miracles, only to realize that the real miracle doesn't come in a bottle. The miracle is that we are strong women who have survived thru all that life has thrown at us. Yet we can still get up every morning, enjoy some self care, and put our best "face" forward. As someone who will be 18 in a month, I just want to thank you for this video. It’s an absolute breath of fresh air in a space where all I see is ads for surgery and filler and scary stay-young-forever treatments. It's pretty silly. Lol I'm in my 30s and my skin is the same as my 20's. Exactly the same. Probably better, to be completely honest. Those kinds of comments make me anxious and feeling older than I am 😔

Yeah. I’m 34 but the only different I can see from my 20s to my 30s is that I have barely noticeable fine lines on my forehead and under my eyes. I can see them but I doubt anyone else can.
@@t.8936 they want to cause us to fear our skin so we spend more than we need to. They'll advertise normal things like eye bags from exhaustion as something to worry about. its normal to have skin that's not perfect even when very young, we're not robots, we have bones and muscles and sinuses under the skin! We can change from day to day depending on weather, circulation, congestion etc.

I'm 58.. have been through hell this past few years. Lost my husband to suicide and my oldest son in a fatal car accident at the age of 35. Taking care of myself this past few years is something i didnt do.. i was lucky to leave my room at times.
Im ready to live my life again and told myself im going to get up every morning shower and do my makeup.. my problem is all the stress has caused me to age so bad prematurely. I hate it but, its what i have to work with.

My grandma has asked me to do her makeup before but i felt inexperienced in dealing with mature skin and I don’t want to hurt her or make her look bad but I want to help make her feel beautiful. You’ve given me some great tips and I think I’ll give her a little makeover or make her up for our next family get together. Thank you Ms. Patti 🤍
Don’t be afraid to work on your g ma. She really wants the time and attention from you. If you make her look like silly you both can laugh. Just make it a you thing. Where you guys get together and you try things out. I loved giving my mom, gramma, and auntie facials at my day spa. She sent me a thank you note I still have framed 25 years later.

I’ve always had problems with mine and now you’ve given me hope that each one doesn’t have to be perfect! You look absolutely amazing for 81 years old and I must say for someone that age, you have the most beautiful hands…you are gorgeous inside and out you have a new fan!
Well I just turned 44 and I hope I look as beautiful as you at 80! But honestly, During the years I have tried almost everything to look younger, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight). However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for around 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 48 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.
Which derma pen? Would you mind sharing? How long did you use it before you noticed results?
After the second session my pores became almost invisible and my overall texture has been improved a lot. However for wrinkles, sagging it took me about 5 - 6 months (5-6 Sessions)

Oh no get well soon! I did the same thing a few years ago, had surgery, 3 plates and numerous screws was in a few diff casts. I feel ya. I ended up in a physical rehabilitation place for 30 days). It was a non weight bearing cast/injury. Here I am 3 yrs later and all is well! prayers, well wishes and hugs for a speedy recovery!

really, don’t be worried. I am 48 and I like the way I look now more than I did when I was 28. Older women are incredibly attractive. I prefer older men too though. Faces with lines have more character and tell a story. A lot of younger people seem to all want to get the same plastic surgery done and they start looking all like the same person over time.

@pattischult9401 -- good sleep and ample hydration by clean water will revitalize skin. Aging slows the "rebuilding" process of the 10 anatomical systems: skin is the quickest by every 30 days and bones are the slowest by every 4 months. As we age, the timing by days and months increase. So, just get good sleep and drink up to 2 quarts of clean water daily, and you'll see improvements to your skin despite the collagen in the skin not replenishing as quickly. Also, 99% aloe hydrates the skin for quick improvement. :-)

I just adore you. I have lost a lot of weight for health reasons, and I am 58. It's showing in my face. It's stressful because I'm a hairdresser and my clients look to me for guidance. I am in the mirror 8-12 he's a day. I am my own worst critic. The first thing people say after they comment on my small stature is, is that it really shows in my face. You are stunning, and I hope I can look as amazing as you do soon. I'm trying to find the best products for my skin which is STILL acne prone. You have given me hope!! I'm 72 and I was glad to see I use some of the same techniques you do! One thing I do, though, is use Latisse for my eyelashes. It's not cheap (a prescription), either, but wow, what a difference it made to my lashes. And I use disposable eyeliner brushes to apply it that I buy in bulk. They make a single bottle last nearly a year.

The best part is my 20’s and 30’s was having my kids. I’m 55 and would not go back. I am so much more comfortable in my own skin and with who I am now. You learn the stuff you thought was a big deal when you were younger really doesn’t matter now. I’m so much more content.

At 40 I had a baby mom died a year later, found out dad was deep in dementia and had major problems with my siblings. I stopped wearing Make up. It was all stress all the time. So now at 50, I’m trying to remake myself and lose some weight, put make up on and be as pretty as I can be with stress causing my hair to fall out. I feel not so pretty. I was a medical aesthetician for 20 years before my son and family stress, but I have not done make up since I worked in a day spa those first few years. I’m so inspired by you. Patti, you are awesome! I am 62, and seeing people like you, gives me hope. I stay active (even work at a very physical job that involves a lot of walking and lifting). Never smoked, never drank anything stronger than a wine, in my youth (nothing now). At 62 the wrinkles and "jowls" are creeping in. I was never a big makeup wearer in my youth, but I am focusing on it now due to the changes in my skin and texture of the skin. You will never know how important it is to actually see a mature person giving advice. When you see a young person, who is not marred by the effects of age, trying to give you advice, it is almost insulting. How can they possibly know? Thank you lady for having the courage to help all of us who are hitting the 'mature' years.
Patty, I am just sitting here watching how easy you make it look to work with and apply your makeup. I am spellbound because you have such beauty to begin with and how you apply makeup where it looks so natural. Such a sweet and kind voice. Your thick eyebrows and eyelashes are amazing before you dress them up. Does emphasize the twinkle of your eyes. You have the best GRWMs and represent those of us that are considered getting older. I have learned so much from all your videos and not just about cosmetics and products (which I desperately need to learn about them & the brushes you use). Also, about life, your fun adventures, your take on life and the experiences that have come along in your lifetime. Your skin looks so glowing and healthy. I am constantly trying to apply the tips you pass along to us. I have a round face and the jowls are falling and wrinkling more each day. Turkey neck, you name it! I am going to try your tip about getting the makeup inside on my😮 jowls & wrinkles. I am 75 and look in the mirror and I will see something new or maybe has been there a while and all of a sudden there is one area is all I see until that surprise fades away. My husband discovered there one short curly strand of hair growing out of my forehead! Lol. Oh, dear, I was obsessed with that one little hair for days and making sure it didn't have a mate growing beside it. Got over that one and lo, and behold, later on I found one by itself growing on the front of my neck!! Got rid of it asap. We certainly had good laughs and went on with life. Life is the most important blessing we have and are grateful as each day goes by. Those little hairs meant nothing really to us but gave us laughs and memories to share. I love your positive attitude. Never take my eyes off your GRWMs. You are a sweetheart to share all you do with the lucky people that have discovered and watch your videos. Thank you for reminding us to "Be Kind". Made a positive impression on me and pass it on.

You're so beautiful. There is this notion that as you age you have to wear duller clothing and very little makeup. I don't really know why it feels like it's there. But it's refreshing to see you do what you want, and making yourself look beautiful.
My grandma's the same age as you. She always wears dull colors now. My mom bought her some bright pieces, just to wear in the house, instead of the old dull ones. Initially she wouldn't wear it because she said she was too old for all that. But she does wear them occasionally now, and she looks more energized and happy too! And everyone in the house visibly feels like she's brighter too when she takes care of herself.
It's a nice reminder to me too to not feel bogged down by what I think is expected of me. Thank you for the video!
