The root of most European languages is the same as Sinhala. But we have an advantage: with our alphabet, we can write and pronounce the same way while they can not do it with the Latin alphabet. Eg. High, hoch meaning up in English and German respectively. Phonetically, the base frequency of our males voice is also probably the same with about 100 Hz. Eg. Listen to the anothapthawila song by the guy (both Amaradewa and the other guy).
