- Today we hit the road and explored rural Central Sri Lanka!
We spent the day cruising around the Sri Lankan countrysides soaking in the nature and also managed to get ourselves some top local food as always.
In the evening we headed into a local national park in search of wild elephants and we hit the jackpot, they were everywhere so we spent the hour watching them do their thing!
Was a fantastic end to an alright day here in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

4:00 As a Sri Lankan just some info about these types of Government village restaurants - they have minimal plastic use, all women staff, all vegetarian food, 0 added sugar or preservatives and all organic local ingredients. If you want to see elephants, come to Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park. Then you can see herds of elephants.

@@EllisWR Also You can come to Udawalawa national park which is situated in ratnapura district and there is a elephant orphanage too. You can see the elephants from around 10 -20 meters.
If you want to see talking cows ,you have to go parliment in sri lanka...but be carefull they'll try to stabb you with their hones 😅😅😅

I don't want to be intimidate, but I have to say you 41:22 is quite dangerous. Yes we love elephants, it may be a life time experience, but it's better not to try that again. It may go terribly wrong. Elephants are mesmerizing powerful animals, you can't outrun them if they charge at you. You guys at least on the started bike. They could be very aggressive in their territory. So please don't try that in the next time. 🙏😇

By the way, if you haven't visit to Kandy yet I highly recommend it. Make sure to visit in the morning or afternoon, and to take a stroll around the Kandy Lake. Also you can visit the Kandy View Points which gives a great view of the city.
We love Sri Lanka and the litter isn't anywhere near as bad as other countries but still you see stuff like this and it's annoying I can't pretend it's all beautiful! Thanks for watching!!
