Should we gut the nylon sheath ?
Build a cargo shelf out of PVC and a peice of 1/4" ply wood. Fasten down the ply with cord ties. Put heavy stuff underneath.

Add a Monkey Braid between the two for a nice carrying handle or shoulder strap.Also, can tie with a simple Taut Line Hitch.
I do something similar, but I use two Farrimond friction hitches.
How do you determine how long the cord should be . Is there a rule of thumb. ?
TY…..have brand very good quality tarps that I will be using for my carport,not the cheap ones from WALMART that deteriorate in the weather like shredded wheat cereal… use your vid to store and then use tarps when I build carport…TYVM

A cow hitch is just a weaker taut line hitch, both work
And a taut line hitch is just a weaker midshipman’s hitch, all three will work. 🤔
