I’m dumbfounded at how useful this knot is (jam knot) and have wished I knew it so many different scenarios in the past. Thank you very much for taking the time to make the video and share.
Nice, but how 'bout just two Tautline hitches on each end of the rope? You get a sling too. Plus a add some chain sinnets to the center and get a nice shoulder sling too.
Can you make one with lots of coils around? I once had a larger mattress I needed to tie like this and though I could've used this system for the ends I probably still would've needed to tie like 5-6 coils in the middle to keep the mattress well packed. I'm also not a fan of cutting the ropes as it reduces their future use.
Sure, I don't see any reason why you couldn't add more Canadian Jam Knot loops, although they would probably need to be tied independently and not connected to the other loops. Worth a try.

You're very welcome!
Nice video. I used the Canadian Jam Knot today to tightly wrap a spare set of lightweight pants to fit in my backpack. Very useful, thank you.
❤ Very useful. Cheers.
Thanks, Jason. Really nice text graphics by the way. 👍🙂
Awesome, thanks 🙏
Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. Wish you well. BTW, like the NATO strap on your watch.
You showed this old fisherman a thing or two. Nice video.
Awesome, thank you
So, what exactly is the purpose of joining the two loops with each other lengthwise? Is it just for aesthetics?
Good tutorial , thanks for sharing , God bless !

Looks great; but for the sake of simplicity, a couple of prusik hitches will do the same thing a tad quicker.
How do we figure out what the length of cord must be for the 2nd stopper knot ?
Im afraid you lost me at 2:25 on .
Love the concept though.

Marline wrap it between jamknot and the arbour knot. Works like charm.
