- The Samsung Galaxy S24+ is the Goldilocks phone in Samsung’s 2024 lineup of premium Android smartphones. It’s considerably more affordable than the S24 Ultra we reviewed, yet you still get a big 6.7” QHD AMOLED 120Hz 2600 nit display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (in the US, Exynos in some other regions) and Samsung’s new AI features. The display size and battery capacity are up from last year, the phone comes with 7 years of OS updates and 5G is standard.

Yeah, a single picture back then is only 300kb now a picture is 8mb big
my first phone had 8gb... with the OS taking up about half of that I had space for like maybe 2-3 apps
@@MonicaHolly143 The OS already ate into it by 40% or so, then apps, videos, music, etc. It was never enough, regardless of “picture size”

Got My S24+ today after 10 long years with iPhone.
The display at QHUD is amazing and the camera is great too.
I got the Pixel 8 but I didn't like it but this S24+ will be my phone from now on.

@@charlesdale1428 It felt cheap and the display was crap. The S24+ feels a bit cheap too I must say compared to my 14 Pro. I think the metals Apple uses is much better but the display of the S24+ is great and I had a good deal. free 512GB upgrade and a free Samsung Watch 6 too when I bought the phone.

I really like my S24 Plus, I've never been a fan of the Ultra/Note and this phone is a big improvement from the past 22 & 23 Plus phones. And Sammie gave me a good trade in value for my S22. Thank you!
Only in USA, everywhere else that got Exynos S24+, the S23+ is a better phone.

First time that I've seen one of your reviews. Nicely done. I returned the S24U yesterday. The S24U was uncomfortable when compared to the S24+. Although similar in size, the S24+ just feels better, IMO, and I have large hands. The unresolved display issues with the S24U, (my S10's display was considerably better than the S24U's), along with the return window closing, I dumped the Ultra and would never go back, but that's just me. Ordered the S24+ 512 gig but it's backordered until the end of the month. Should be a nice upgrade from my S10!
I really do like the ultra but the square edges turn me off

@@darina91 yes it does usually around 7 to 8 hours of screen on time with QDHD and 120 hrtz on.
Do you see a difference when you switch from normal to vivid mode? It's not working on my 24+
@pleasantcrew not really, but I do think that the issue is overblown. To me, the display looks great as always from a samsung phone. Hopefully, they will issue a fix in an update to address the concern of users.

FYI: my S24+ is suffering from the "vivid" and "natural" color reproduction bug, selecting the vivid options does nothing; it looks like natural mode
Samsung just killed the Vivid mode.
No they didn't. It just doesn't seem to work.

Snapdragon Chip is also available in Canada. I have an S24 Plus with the Snapdragon Chip.
North America, and most of Asia gets the snap dragon.
Every few years when I feel like upgrading my phone I do the rounds on RUclips reviews and it's always nice to hear what Lisa has to say!
traded 2 samsung s5's for 2 s24 plus. dont regret it. except the color profiles for vibrant/ colors are too cool now.

What's your gut feeling for those wanting a "compact phone"? Jump on the Exynos S24 or wait for the Zenfone 11?

Man, I didnt know she was still doing reviews, this just popped up in my feed.
Over the last few years, I really feel that the plus models have been underpowered but, not this year. In fact, Samsung has given them some much needed upgrades in the form of quad HD display, 12 g of ram, larger battery capacity and a much nicer build. It comes much closer to being worth the $1,000 price tag that Samsung is asking. Once more, if you don't care about an s pen or some gimmicky titanium it may be a better choice than the ultra.

This phone is very tempting with the upgraded screen and ram/storage on base model but I think I'll hang on to my s21fe for awhile longer. The cameras don't appear significantly better to warrant an upgrade. The speedier processor would be great but not essential.
I just ordered an S24+, I've been living with a S8+ forever, with a horribly cracked screen. It is finally time to upgrade! Thanks for the video!

Well updating from a Samsung S10 the S24+ would be a massive upgrade😉😉
My S24+ definitely is washed out. My S21 Ultra is so much more vibrant. All in all, that is my only complaint With the 24+. Loving this phone.
I own the S24+, had it for two weeks now and the color issue I do have but I'm not complaining because there is a bigger issue being grainy display which no big youtuber seems to be talking about. Thousands of people are having this issue where they can see obvious fixed grainy paper-like texture. This seems to be a hardware defect according to people with optical microscopes and it's horrible. I will be getting a replacement once the software update doesn't fix it.
This appears to be an Ultra issue. My S24+ is just fine

There are basic feature tutorials on the phone, plus good FAQs on Samsung's website -- along with numerous RUclips videos for Samsung/Android beginners for you to digest.

Waste of money
If you don’t need the stylus and anti-glare display, you can go with the S24 Plus since it now supports QHD+ and an increased battery (from 4700 to 4900 mAh).
@Gurenn83 You also lose the Ultra's "Space" zoom lens/sensor (and its accompanying Nightography) with the S24+.
@sdotg If you're happy with your S23 Ultra, I would just stick with it. Samsung has confirmed that some (most even ?) of the S24 series' A.I. features will trickle down to the S23 series.

My s23+ has a great battery life! I realy use a lot my phone and stil get 2 days of battery life!
Meh.. I went from my olds school samsung galaxy s10 plus to s24 plus last weekend and it's a dam fine phone... galaxy plus phones have always been perfect size...
The ultra don't have a lot of cases. So yeah the 24+ is much better

Probably too early for a developer to root this device. It is still fresh and bootloader is still locked.
