I like the design of S24+ more than the Ultra.

Held both in the Samsung store, I like the S24+ more than the Ultra and I originally wanted to get the Ultra.
Yes its bcoz of the curved corners which is practically useful while using the phone or watching videos.

I would have gotten the s24+, but it is exynos here. Which is clearly inferior to snapdragon. Maybe not alot worse, but I can't justify spending alot of money on a phone that overseas gets snapdragon. Just feels wrong. I'll wait for S25.

I used to use the pen a lot on the Note phones, but on my s23 ultra, rarely to never. I don t know why...maybe because it was on the right on the note. Solid review Lim. not bad.
Coming from a Galaxy S22+, pre-launch I was targeting the S24 Ultra this time around. However, the $100 price increase really threw me off. Not to mention, the S24+ got huge upgrades (1440p LTPO display, 4900mah battery, 12gb RAM, 1.6x larger vapor chamber) and is basically a S24U but without the boxy design, no spen, and worse cameras for $300 less. And since this S24+ will be my secondary phone, I cant see the reason to fork over $300 just for the boxy design and spen (although I really would like to have those). Maybe when the S26 Ultra comes out ill see if I jump to the Ultra then.

@@NLShArKNL lol. I use my phones until it starts stuttering which is after 3 to 4 year's of usage where it becomes annoying to continue using before I switch.
@@clickbaitpro I've owned an entirety of three smartphones since their inception, do I win? Moto G (The LTE version) > LG G4 > LG V40. All of which I got really cheap, the G4 wasn't very good it got hot and I hated the camera. V40 is quite a bit better and I like havig a physical fingerprint reader. But S24+ might be my next phone since I cant get a One Plus 12 here without grey import.

After watching so many videos, I’m almost 99% certain the S24+ is the one to get. The ultra may be the top flagship, but the truth is no one really uses a stylus in 2024. S24+ is the perfect choice for the majority out there.
What do you mean no one uses the stylus? Many, including myself specialize in using it for productivity and artistic reasons.
I agree, I think the majority of the ones who bought the 22 ultra and 23 ultra seriously aren't using 50% of what the phone can do, I know I'm not 😂

I think if you have a tablet like myself you don't need the ultra. Stylus is great on the tablet but I don't want one on a phone and not what I fit in my pocket.
About the battery life and performance: remember that all the videos you'll see on youtube right now are using a pre-release software so both the performance and battery life should get better after launch when Samsung updates the phones.
And I keppe seeing that the 2400 inside the S24+ is on par with the SD gen 3 in the Ultra but it seems like the Ultra does not perform as well as the other gen 3 phones (Xiaomi 14 Pro, IQOO 12...). But again, let's wait for the finalized software.
The s24+ redeems itself from the embarrassing releases of the 21 22 and 23. The 20+ was the best of the series until they ruined it by removing the microSD card, led notification light and making it smaller with worse resolution. The s24+ is the baby ultra minus a few camera downgrades and anti glare coating. This is the one to get if you don't like a big ass bathroom tile in your pocket.

Can you do social media tests with the cameras? Samsung has said that they now have a partnership with Instagram/Snap...
I may even consider the s24 plus an upgrade from my s23 ultra considering it has a 1440p display now and all the other upgrades as the ultra. Worth it for me now, and being able to have the lighter weight and slightly smaller size with the larger display is a win.
I'm literally switching from the 23ultra to the plus major upgrade for me

I picked up my s24+ recently after traiding in my iphone 14+. I havent regret a single day since. I do miss the round edges of previous samsung devices. But samaungs devices are more narrow than apples which makes the flat sides much easier to handle over here. Loved the review

German tech magazine CHIP has already tested the battery life of the S24 series and the Exynos S24+ outperformed the Snapdragon S24 Ultra by over an hour.

@@paul_ko There is also a Genshin Impact test between S24+ Exynos Vs S24 Ultra/Sgen3. The Ultra won barely with battery life and was cooler. But interesting enough, when pushed everything to max. S24+ had better frame data than ultra.

If you could get a sample of all the Exclusive Colours, that would be great. The lighting by some other youtubers while showing the colours is a bit overblown, messes up making sense of the colours. You seem to have a more toned down lighting. Would be interesting to see how good the Green looks.
I am done with fretting over the Exynos chip. It seems good enough. The heat dissipation is always an issue, but I won't be putting the base S24 through that much stress anyway.

I'm aiming for that because I really have no use for the S Pen and I'm a point and shoot photographer lol. It looks like my S21 Ultra without the curved screen....and I want that slightly round corners design and the 7 years software support. Honestly, with no offense to anyone, that boxy design of the Ultra looks as if you're carrying your TV around with you. I tried to like it but I can't. Kudos for covering this phone and you got yourself a new subscriber. FYI I will be getting the Exynos variant....makes no difference to me....I'm running the S21 Ultra on the Exynos 2100 and I've had no issues at all.
I also have the S21 Ultra, I will wait for S26 Ultra.
I like the middle size S24+ but it is exynos in my country.
I trust SD more than exynos, yes they improved this time but in terms of longevity, I rely more on SD.
Just import one from USA then; they're always on eBay and some grey importer websites

because of added titanium, they increased the price in my country, s24U is almost $2000 20% tax included.

Give it a try my brother. Exynos is not disappointing this year. In fact practically, the ultra model could not properly utilize the wifi at the Samsung shop I was in to load RUclips whereas the plus model loaded and even played videos. In everything, it felt a tiny bit faster, that's my experience. If you get information from internet you won't get it accurate. You need to go to Samsung shop and test it for yourself.
Can someone please tell how good the modem is in Exynos. Thats the most important thing overlooked in all reviews
Good enough for 5g, unless you have WiFi 6 or better, don't even bother about network speed

it's alright this year. Performance is just good enough, heating is still there. But the base S24 is at least not meant for too intensive tasks.

Just ordered the S24+ in onyx black 512G. I currently have the A71 5g which came out in 2020. Im so excited as this is a huge upgrade for me, especially in processing power. The night camera is pretty awesome too and I'll have way more storage capacity and be able to run multiple programs at once with ease. Im not a huge gamer or anything just need an upgraded phone as the A71 5g will no longer receive updates in the future and is 5 years old. I thought about the base S24 but the screen size is too small as Im used to the A71 screen size at 6.7" which is exactly the same as the S24+.

Great had mines for the days trust me it's well worth it best cellphone out at this moment i'm glad I got one some people don't want the s24 ultra not that its bad it's for some not all they want the s24 plus I like because its not to big and not to small great cellphone.
@realtalk506 lol I actually canceled my s24+ order and got the s24 ultra instead 😄. It's really an awesome phone and I'm definitely enjoying it. But I got the 256 Gig instead of 512 as the promotion I got through T Mobile didn't have them in 512G. But I'm used to having 128G on the A71 and still had plenty of space left for what I do so 256 is actually more than enough storage for me and cheaper obviously than the 512g. The camera and photo editing options are pretty awesome and I do love the stylus and use it. The phone is just a little thicker than the A71 but pretty much the same size.
How did it handle eveyday phone usage? Was it a smooth experience as you would expect from a flagship?

Only few countries get the SD8G3 for the S24/+. There is only the exynos S24+ in my country, sadly. If not, that would be my best pick.

Much as I want the base S24 or the Plus, they'd be distributing the Exynos versions for the base and plus models and only the Ultra gets the SD8 Gen 3 in our country :(

My s23 can do 7 to 8 hours sot till date 😂 sd8g2 rip exynos and main drwaback is very dull screen saturation in s24 series i hope till s26 series they will remove colors from display just black and white screen rip quality

I had a play with the s24 plus and ultra a couple of days ago in the store as they're now on display. I have to say I was more drawn the s24 plus than the ultra. However we get exynos in UK so that's that.

I think they should add the LTPO tech for all S series phones. I think this price point needs all top technologies included in it.

All s24 have 1-120 hz ltpo this year. S23 and plus were able to go low as 30hz not 1hz like ultra.

Got a 24+ for a backup for my 23u, I thonk I like the 24+ better! I dont use the pen and the camera rarely so they aren't a big factor for me.

I came from S23U to S23, frankly speaking I love every bits of it. S23U has the best spec out of all, but S23 is the one u can hold it confidently and without falling it. I do wonder why Samsung are more prefer to put the best spec in bigger size phone, especially this year the SD vs exynos. The difference is getting massive, please do something for the ergonomic phone instead.

My first "premium" phone was the S20 Plus, which had 12 GB of RAM and a QHD+ display. They took it away for 3yrs and are now acting like the S24 Plus is an "upgrade" when all they have done is bring back the features that were available on the same model before. 🙄

I personally think as long usage user for phone i would rather buy every few years save money and also buy phone that gives moe big changes rather buying every year it does not feel much different since Business companies for samsung or iphone or sony etc. Makes their product only slight difference only so there is no point changing phone every year when can use phone until the android software near outdated rather keep changing 😂

I agree its better then the ultra this time, no new glass with anti glare reducing contrast/color either like on the ultra.
I thought all the S24 phones suffer from lower contrast colors than the S23 line.
