I'm a 6th grade social studies teacher, and every other Friday, I do current events. I included this phone's release as one of the stories they could write up, and as I was explaining it, they got every bit as excited as I was. I work at a very ethnically diverse school, and it got them captivated because someone who speaks only Spanish in an ELD (Language Arts) can converse with someone who only speaks French, when otherwise, they'd be isolated. We're actually planning on using this technology, but it was a pleasant surprise to see that it's included in the phone. Would make my job WAY easier at times. I still have an S21 Ultra, and with the prices I've seen, I might upgrade, honestly.

7:30 As a native Korean and English speaker, that translation is pretty on point.

Samsung mastered the lens transition with the S24. For the most part, the zoom doesn't look jittery anymore - only when Marques switched from the 3x telephoto to the 5x telephoto lens, did it look at all laggy (around 3:12 in the video. Also, at 3:31 it snaps into place.) I think Apple still has a smoother zoom though, with the zoom speed increase, and subtle slow down in speed when ending the zoom animation. I wonder if Samsung will roll out an update for 200MP RAW photos?
As a Pixel user, I'm kinda jealous of the updated design of OneUI 6.1. It's crazy that with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Samsung phones run faster than the iPhone 15 Pro with A17 Pro! I do prefer the rounded screen on the S24 and S24+ over the sharp corners on the Ultra, but the super slim bezels make up for it. I wonder how the titanium feels vs aluminum or stainless steel?

The exact design I wanted. Always been looking for a squared edge samsung phone which never existed

The translation feature is absolutely wild. That would completely change the way I communicate with family back home (my parents translate for me at the moment), I've been waiting for the tech to get this good. Look forward to see it when it comes out!

For the Ultra a 5x and 10x cameras would make more sense to me. With the 200mp main camera the 2x and 3x digital zooms should be good enough with how powerful the phone supposedly is.
This is most likely a cost cutting strategy. If they actually wanted to improve the cameras, they would have increased the resolution on the Telephoto cameras, while keeping the optical magnification.

Cool review on Galaxy AI. Now I understand a bit on what to expect and, most importantly, how it differs (slightly or big) from Pixel.

I am really happy to see the curved screens are going. I love my pixel, but I wish it had square edges and a matte back because the thing is more slippery than a wet fish.

I thought the Pixel 8 phones do have a flat screens? Also the slippery back can easily be fixed by a skin,
"Which leads us to our sponsor D-Brand: it's not a product. It's a culture.™ Customize any device with our wide range of skins." 😭😂

I feel the exact opposite. Hate that they got rid of the curved screen and the sharp corners make it terrible to hold in the hand. Different strokes I suppose 🤷‍♂️

@@scorpion199227they do have flat screens. I think he was just separately referring to the edges being round.

The S21 and S22 back designs were so good, I hope they bring those back, it actually made Samsung unique. Now their phones look no different than any other mid range phone
