I've literally never heard of this movie before in my entire life but you know what? I'm in. I'm not expecting a masterpiece but weird theatrical animated films that slip under the radar are my jam. I need to see this somehow. That and the soundtrack sounds amazing.
It had an incredibly strange release. You should read up on it, the making and release of this movie could almost be a movie by itself. I know I saw it when I was a kid, but I actually thought it was an adaptation of a video game, of all things. Nintendo Power gave the SNES game a review, as well as a few preview images, but didn't mention that it was based on a movie. Even weirder, there was an NES version of the game that got cancelled, but it was recently found. Despite being cancelled, the NES version was complete, so the lack of release is kind of a mystery.
The full film’s on RUclips! I watched it a lot when I was little cause I had it on VHS, and sometimes when I’m feeling nostalgic and watch it again on here 🥰
I like her design, she looks like a mixture between Ariel, Thumbelina, & Disney’s Snow White. It’s sad that Irene Cara has passed, she has the perfect voice for animation. RIP
I have never seen this movie before, till I heard it was made by Filmation, the studio who made He-Man and She-Ra series. May the actress rest in heaven and now I like this Snow White.
I love this movie so much when I was Kid and still do Today I don't care what critics and some people say about this Movie I love Happily Ever After. 🙂💓
@chudcel99 because I'm exactly who I was when I was 5 🫠 lol I grew up and it's more nostalgic to me now than anything else. Seemes like you could take a lessen from me and grow up weirdo
it premiered in the philippines in 1989. if anything, the delay of release can be blamed on milton verret inflating the film's value multiple times throughout the early 90s.
I actually think I'd be willing to see this movie, though I don't like creepy villains. But this seems interesting, since Snow White is the one saving the PRINCE. 1:26 Awww! Snow White and Thunderella hugging is the cutest thing ever!
I have NEVER seen this theatrical trailer in my life wow 🙌🏻 I remember seeing one tv spot but it didn’t click until someone bought me the VHS, and by then all the toys and other marketing stuff was long gone. But I tried for those action figures lol
I had this movie on VHS but I don't remember it. But watching the trailer is bringing back those memories! Just watched the whole movie... It was like deja Vu the whole time!
I ve seen it just once & I remember other kids thought I was insane cuz they never heard of Snow sequel... Btw it reminds me a lot of video game Aladdin : Nasira's Revenge, where Nasira is Jafars sister & now makes evil plot to destroy Aladdin
On the contrary, a lot of movie trailers now leave me wondering what the film is even about. I just see some special effects, some violence, some quips, and I'm like, "okay, the movie has those things in it, but what am I supposed to garner about the plot from this trailer?"
This would end up being the death nail to Filmation after the dispute with Disney that lead to this movie delayed for 4 years, before the company shut down.
I remember seeing the VHS case for this movie as a kid when my parents and I went to our local mom and pop video store, my parents told me that it wasn't that great and that I should just stick to the Disney version of Snow White.
I liked this version of snow white so much more as a kid it's the only version I would watch. I didn't really like the Disney version as a kid. But it's been years since I've seen this one so idk if it stands the test of time
Among the voice talent: Irene Cara, Ed Asner, Dom Deluise, Carol Channing, Malcom McDowall, Phyllis Diller, Princess Zsa Zsa Gabor, Sally Kellerman, and Tracy Ullman
This is an unofficial sequel to the classic 1937 Disney film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Obviously, the animation and visuals are lacking in comparison and it is unfortunate that the studio behind it were not allowed to use the Seven Dwarfs (since Disney told them that they were not permitted). I'd say the film is mediocre at best. It's not really bad, but it's also not that good, either. It's at least watchable.
Don't get me wrong, I love Filmation and limited animation but she's suspiciously familiar to Daphne from Dragon's lair (and a little of Thumbelina). I'm surprise they didn't get in trouble with Don Bluth but only with Disney for this.
I had this on VHS, pretty good movie to watch. I remembering it being scary as a kid, especially the way Lord Maliss had his cape that turns things to stone. Also I never watch movie trailers anymore because they spoil the entire movie pretty much by showing you all the key point things that happens throughout, and this trailer is no exception to doing just that too. I do wish movie trailers didn't spoil 80% of the movie, a quick 5-10 second ad on a movie coming out is better than showing up 80% of it in just one trailer alone.
For Disney, it began with Snow White. For Filmation it ended with Snow White.
This was one of those unofficial sequels to Snow White.
Its was 30 years ago and I was 6 when it came out . I still got VHS since. MY VCR is stop working. May Irena Cara Rest in Peace.

The man who designed her designed Ariel!

@@VivlingLeigh Ariel from Disney?? What are u talking about? Glen Keane designed Ariel.
No, she looks exactly like Daphne from Dragon's Liar, what a scam.

sadly this was the final nail in the coffin for Filmation
You're saying this was Filmation's final animation media?
Yeah although this was released after Filmation closed the studio.
@@stephenholloway6893Disney's abuse of copyright laws also helped delay the film.
I loved this movie as a kid i could only watch it at a friend's house
Better than the live action for sure lol
Yess!!! I'm so glad I didn't imagine it! I remember this!!
This was one of my favorites growing up. As an adult, I think its an ok movie overall but it could've been better

Ironically, the film was finished years before it hit the theaters...but didn't get released due to Filmation going out of business.

This was my favorite more undeground animated film growing up. I still need to watch it every handful of years.
Lord malice is fucking terrifying
Lord Maliss was an intimidating villain in an era (the 90s) where most cartoon villains were very corny or laughably bad at being a threat or danger.
I loved this one too! So nostalgic
I came here after learning of Irene Cara's passing! RIP
