What a wonderful Christmas present! Have to start somewhere... Love when I can buy second hand! I don't have a drone but love to see the footage from them.
The more expensive ones do come out with obstacle avoidance, however they are out of my price range . I need to be very careful, I have almost had a mishap a couple of times already. 😒 Thank you for the comment mate. 😎
Well you got some great footage there for a newbie and you got your drone back to use again. Win win. Loved the idea of the Chris drone very funny. My drone, Make; can't remember. Pro's I now know what this area looks like from several thousand feet. Cons; took 4 hours or so to find the wreckage and then found it was one use only as it was smashed beyond repair. 🤦♂🤣🤣 Hope to see more ARIEL footage in the future. Sorry my spellchecker is set to default to motorbike settings, I meant Aerial footage. 👍😉😁
I have a mavic mini. It does a good job, especially for the price point. I have the litchi app for it, which enables follow me mode, though I have only tested it in a parking lot. The size making it easy to carry makes it useable. I had a Phantom before this, and never really took it on the bike, because it was to big. The mini I can just toss in my tank bag, and go.
Thank you for the app tip, I will check it out. I almost purchased a larger one and pleased I didn't as the size of this one is spot on. Thanks for your input 😎
LoL on your first drone ...... I run the mini I chose it for it's size to take with me and I like how I can sneak into close and small places with it unlike the larger models with sensors that restrict a drone from going to close .....My tip with a Mini is first up at a new location set your distance and height and then fly if you don't do this you will discover why this tip is very handy ( I will put it this way ) Given that I am not a land surveyor I don't require a drone the size of an A380 T jet however in saying this I have still had my mini 1500 meters up and the views are awesome at that point.I believe one must be careful flying a mini over water like the sea as the RF signal can go very week from some kind of refraction. ....What you did with the drone in this video is about what I would do and it turned out very well by the way.
Your drone footage looks excellent 👌 We also run a Mavic Mini but the 2. Had to buy another drone after my partner crashed the Mavic Air into a canal! We used it quite a bit on our Scotland tour last year, it captures some amazing images. The only thing you need to take care in strong winds, it doesn't like them. We nearly lost ours first time out and it is no where near as good at coping with wind compared to the old Mavic Air.
Yes I have noticed particularly when flying high it finds the wind a challenge at times. I am very selective when I fly. Thanks for your comment and tip mate . 😎
I have 2 drones. A DJI Mavic Pro (Marvin) which I can carry on the bike. The other is a DJI Phantom 4, too big to carry on the bike, car work that one. You captured some great footage. Cheers
Great investment. Excellent drone footage. I’m looking to get a drone soon, just upgraded my GoPro recently, so have to wait for a spare pay or do more OT. Hopefully next month. Anyway looking forward to seeing more drone footage in your vids.👍 Keep up the great work.
The mini is a pretty nice drone. I purchased one about six months before they released the mini 2. I should have waited, as the mini 2 is much more wind resistant.
I used to have the DJI Mavic Pro, which was a great drone, although it's successor was a lot better. I sold it when all the mayhem was going on at Gatwick Airport where there were drones being flown in the airspace of the aircraft allegedly. It was over the 250g weight too, so would have needed to jump through extra hoops to use it legally too. I think in the year I had it, I flew it just 22 times and the total flight time, I could have done with a single charge on the three batteries it came with, so selling it made the most sense for me at the time. Your drone footage looked great mate, I hope you get many hours of enjoyment from it 🙂
Thanks Mate, not really sure how often I will use it to be honest. You need to be careful where you fly them these days and the fines are massive if you don't do the wrong thing. I am hoping it will add a little to the channel. Thanks for the comment and let hope I don't crash the thing 😎
@@MRTPR there are some standard maneuvers that you can find on RUclips that you should practice in an open area. It involves using both toggles simultaneously and with ever so gently with the left one as not to create too much spin. I wish I could find the video for you but I’m sure you can find one and then keep a cheat sheet with you when you practice
Too true, I still get the controls wrong. I fly where I can't hit anything at the moment. I didn't play many video games in my time. It would have come in very handy now as the controls are very similar I believe. Thanks for watching mate. 😎
Footage looks amazing! I have the Mavic mini 2. I wanted the “follow me” mode as well. I’m still learning a bit and haven’t flown it much since I crashed it in to the magnolia tree (no damage) lol. I did let a friend borrow it a few times and he took some excellent footage with it. I wish it had crash avoidance as well.
Yes I would like the follow me and the collision avoidance . On the plus side I do love the quality of the footage and how easy it is to control. I just have to be extra careful not to crash it. Thank you for your input Mate. 😎
I really wish I had played video games in my younger days as the controls are really like playing a video games evidently. I really do end heaps of practice as I have nearly crashed it twice now. 😳
They are very easy, however I need a lot of practice, I don't want to crash it if I can help it. With no collision avoidance you need to be very careful. 🤪
Grrr, I just had to re-sub again. I dont get why YT is dropping my subs? The DJI mini sure looks like a great choice. im looking forward to see your epic footage. Eric
Strange how RUclips does this, thank you for re subbing mate, I appreciate it. I must get the drone up again soon. I need to try and retire so that I can spend more time on the things I enjoy. 😎
Awesome DJI Mavic Mini footage at 4:07 😃

Fantastic footage, looks like fun
Thanks Mate 😎
I have the same drone. I also bought it second hand. The footage is fantastic. You look like you have a good handle on it. Well done mate.
Thanks Mate, its a load of fun. 😎
Some great footage there, very nice.
Thank you 😎
I’ve put off getting one…I keep thinking they’ll come out with the new model with obstacle avoidance.
Nice job with the drone shots,,,👍👍👍

Think the Mini 3 is rumoured to have OA, and should be out march /April time allegedly.
You captured some awesome scenery Mr TPR.
Thanks mate 😎

Wonderful footage from the new drone! I have a couple of original DJI Phantoms and a Spark. They are fun.
They certainly are mate 😎
Looks really beautiful!!

Yes it does get reasonably windy here, so I need to to be very careful the days I fly it. Thanks for you input mate 😉
Mini 2 is very good in the wind. Very impressed with mine
@@tojj29 yes, much better than my original mini. 👍
I've got the same drone. Love it.

Nice drone vid along the water.

Second Valley .. very decent footage 💕
Tell you about my drone ..?
Well the stability, clarity, resolution are all chai latte to me ♡
Yes thank you, I was pleasantly surprised with the footage. 😎
It just works perfectly, I mean the footage is very nice. :) Have to say it. Drop by when have time.
👍👍👍👍✊❤️. Tips are to practice flying as much as possible!

It really is a cracking little machine, isn't it?
Spot on mate, I and very happy and surprised at how clear the footage is. Thank you for dropping by 👍
Seems like you can't shake a drone in Australia without getting video footage of amazing views. :)
No drone for me, unfortunately. Maybe some day.
We are very lucky here, so blessed to live where we live. Thanks for dropping by Mate. 😎
Nice footage from the Mavic mini, did it take you long to learn how to fly it ?

What a beautiful view with this mini :) +1 sub
