This piece is absolutely stunning. I and a sucker for black and stained wood pieces. You truly did give this dresser a second chance for someone to enjoy it. Phenomenal work
Thank you for this comment. It was the first time I tried this combination. I have had critics mention the long legs and the angled front vs straight back but I needed this to be stable with such long legs. I chose the long legs so this dresser could be used at a practical height. Thank you for the support. I continue to learn amazing things from others. Barry

I've recently gotten into this rabbit hole that is furniture restoration videos and I have to say that yours have a particularly calming and serenely effect on me. Hey Brian. I only recently found time to do some of this work. Working in healthcare obviously takes so much energy from you. Sometimes you need the days off just to recover. Barry
Barry, I love when some of your older videos (that I’ve previously seen) pop up in my feed. I watched another furniture artist’s video today (Crys’Dawna of Bella Renovare) and she painted, created different textures and more, using different techniques (take a min to watch if you haven’t already). A big point of her video was about art therapy, especially during these stressful times. But not just about us doing something (a piece, a canvas, etc) but watching her was just therapeutic. Point is, it’s like watching you work on a piece (the care, patience, peacefulness) and how therapeutic it is for you too. A lot of HCWs replied to her and again I thought of you. So thank you for your videos, as well as your service, especially after the last couple of years. You are greatly appreciated, for craft and your profession.💜
Kudos to you for taking a piece destined to be trash and turning into a very attractive piece of furniture that anyone would be proud to have in their home. Obviously you have vision and talent. Looking forward to seeing your next projects.

I'm in Price, Utah, you blow me away with your talent. Thanks for posting videos. We stripped all the woodwork from our 1912 craftsman. All the woodwork had several coats of paint on it. Luckily all the high baseboards, window and fancy door casings, and all the built ins were intact, just painted. It was a big job when we did it 25 years ago. We didn't have much of any idea what we were doing so we just dove right in. But we got the job done and for two people who didn't know anything much about stripping wood it turned out great.

I really like how you gave this piece a new life. I loved the contrast of the black with the natural brown drawers. One question: why did you put angled legs in front and straight ones in the back?
Hi Daniel. Thank you for the great feedback. Angled legs added more support since these legs were longer than the originals. I have since put straight brackets on the front to match the back. Thanks for the support. Barry
Just amazing end result. Love it. Would you be interested in giving your followers the numbers on the pieces you work on...how much you pay for it and what you sell it for? Again, just beautiful.

Hey Justin. Thank you for the support from Colorado Springs. I have been many times. Hope you enjoy my other videos as well. Barry
Hi Barry. Well your eye for detail and perfection never fails you. What an amazing transformation. From ugly sister to Princess Diana. I'd love this in my home.
Wow! Thank you
Wow!! This is truly wonderful. It was amazing to see the quality of Bassett construction under all of that paint. Pat on the back!
Thank you so much Eileen
I’m from South Africa. I like to switch it up
Between restoration and painting. I love modernising furniture to give them a new lease on life.
In the beginning the look for this piece was: "Fugley". The end result it turned out= "Up Town Quality". It also looked like the old finish was a booger to prep for refurbishing. Lot of work, and you saved this dresser's bacon. On to a new life for it now! Well done as always. You've not disappointed yet.
Thank you again for the feedback. I am learning new things with every project. I love your choice of words. They are encouraging as I continue this journey. Barry
I really do like the black paint and the stained drawers. It is a great piece that I am sure someone will love to buy.
Thank you. I gave this one away
