LEAP is specifically designed and deployed to the 10 most dangerous areas in COCT, and are ALWAYS deployed there as that is their function, LEAP is bigger than cape town metro, traffic and law enforcement combined so I'm not sure how you aren't getting services?
@@jenodamons5408 Better than most lol, and I'm very aware of the crime statistics, I'm just telling you that the deployments of LEAP of specifically for capeflats.
What about Ur officers I can point out on name and surname and where they stationed that plan evidence and frame people they pick up or who took payment to do sumthing.
Thank you for this comment, it allows us the opportunity to set the record straight. Policing is under the control of National government. All taxes, (VAT, Pay-As-You-Earn, etc.) goes to National government. In Western Cape, police stations complain how they are under resourced, don't have members, don't have vehicles. National government says there is no funds but yet they spend R300 million of the police budget on catering and accommodation. We are a municipality, a local government. We don't receive any budget from National government for policing. The Constitution says we need to do bylaws and traffic enforcement. For these operation costs, we have to raise our own money through rates, from property owners in Cape Town. The fact that we have already contracted out Shotspotter services, have a Gang and Drug Task Team, have over 1000 LEAP officers deployed to the Gang hotspots, have a K9 unit and tactical response team, and so much more. With no support from National government. As for the claim of CBD having less than 10% in crime, please rather check proper crime statistics on the SAPS released data, before passing comments. Cape Town Central actually features as the worse affected police station in the entire Province and across the whole of SA, in numerous categories. Where the other 5 stations of the Cape flats appear in the top 30 list, we already have LEAP deployed there, to assist SAPS, at our cost. I thank you. Our pleasure.

Unfortunately not. My own administrative staff assist me with this, in their spare time. I thought it would be important, so as to allow us to communicate better with our residents on these matters.
Guys can you please explain to me the difference between Metro police vs Law enforcement and also what's the difference between SAPS and Metro police besides metro police having to hand criminals to SAPS
We are not SAPS. They are controlled by the National government. Either we change the National government or we change policing, and make it a Provincial or Local government competency, so that our policing can be improved.
we need more shows like this
It's weird that is only in the CBD where less than 10% crime is happing but no law enforcement in the capeflats where 70-80 % high crime is happing..

Arrent a bra for having a baggy of the devil's sherbet on him. Naaaai man! Ask him who sold it to him and arrest the dealer.
Cape town needs 1000s more good cops. Our court system also needs to be looked at
Baie goed. Ek is baie trots op DA jp smit.
Ah, yes, go scan through homeless people in the CBD instead of focusing on actual crime syndicates and areas.
I want to be law enforcement
Shame you only see them work on camera other than that, they give you fines for kak bc they wanna make money or the poor
Please take on the cocaine epidemic in Cape Town, if you dare
When you vote for a political party that does something with their funds, unlike the 8 other provinces..
