definitely a video or podcast on tips to create ads for musicians . on instagram or facebook. the do's and dont's of creating ads. how to reach maximum audience with least budget? it would be really helpful for many?

I did the IG promotion by messaging accounts that use music. It worked very well. Had a good sized account use one of my tracks. And then others heard it and also used it. And they gave credit to me. Also have done the same on RUclips. Great info.

Not if you're with one of Spotify's preferred distributors.

What are the best sources for music promotion? Spotify,RUclips iTunes
It really depends on where YOUR fans are. For some people, it will be Spotify.. other RUclips / Instagram. Where do you get the most engagement and what do your analytics say? 😀
I wold love to see tutorials for Google Adwords. It seems alot more complicated to use and get results than Facebook Ads (in my limited experience)

I have an issue, I know my music is enjoyable but I feel like my audience is relatively niche. I make hypnagogic pop, and I'm also still relatively young. Is it dumb to just believe that the music itself for being innovative, creative, and different will lead me anywhere? I'm extremely passionate and dedicated to what I do, but sometimes I believe I'm going nowhere and that my music has no audience besides myself... Apologies if I sound like a narcissist

Having a niche audience is sometimes easier and means they'll be more dedicated in the long term.

How do you go about getting fans to opt in your email list? What is that formula for after you release a song the sales funnel
You need to offer something so this could be a song pre release, free downloads, discount codes, something that benefits them

Yes! The more platforms the better as it means you've got a higher chance of being discovered

I've put my song on "listen to this" a couple of times and have been pulled down due to "self promotion" unfortunately.
Yes you must check the rules!
If i send a track to someone to use in a video could youtube give them a copy right strike. How do i give someone permission. Im with distrokid. Would i have to ask them. I would be very happy for people to use any of my tracks in there videos to get me some exposure.
At the very bottom of DistroKid's release upload form keep "RUclips Money" checkbox unchecked. In this case your release will not be added to RUclips ContendID database at all and therefore should not cause copyright strikes on any videos where your music were used. In case you would like to allow to use your music just in a specific video of a particular author - you can use "RUclips Whitelister" in the Settings section (gear icon at top right) on DistroKid website.
