Police in Greenville, North Carolina have charged Thomas Elliott, 21, with multiple counts of felony secret peeping after reviewing Target store security footage from earlier this week. Elliott is accused of using his phone to take photos or videos of women without their permission. When confronted- he didn’t panic, he didn’t run, he calmly went into spin mode… he’s been doing this for awhile, and talked his way out of it more than once.
Thanks to the woman who dealt with him immediately.
I doubt it. He may have done it before but if he had been caught before then he'd have been more careful not to get caught. This could have turned into total chaos if that woman was a Karen or had PTSD - there would have been screaming and he might have got tackled; choked out and held down until cops showed up. This was mild compared to other situations I've witnessed myself having worked in security and surveillance for over twenty years.

This happened here in Greenville and I attended his first appearance yesterday. The detective told the judge he is facing more charges because earlier incidents in the surveillance video, and the church where he works apparently found more incidents after reviewing their own surveillance. GPD seized his computer and phone and obtained search warrants for both so I expect more is coming.
Not surprising the church found something, hope the school looks as well. I doubt he was volunteering out of the goodness of his heart. What a creep

My ex-husband reached up a woman’s skirt in target and touched her. The only reason I know this is because my ex brother-in-law was a police officer at the time and was called to the scene to review the footage. He didn’t snitch on my husband, but he did tell his wife, my ex’s sister. They kept things quiet from me for a few years until he started doing other unsettling behaviors.

And given what another user mentioned about the case, evidence was found of him doing the same thing in earlier segments of video AND the Church where he _worked_ has found him doing the same thing on video! UPDATE: He was in court again Friday here in Greenville for more incidents from Target (multiple incidents with the two other victims prior to the video that went viral) and also an incident from the church where he worked back in mid-March. I was there for his first appearance hearing. His parents were in court with him, he has hired an attorney and has a June court date, but that is District Court and the prosecutor will likely indict the case to superior court soon.

A couple of months ago I was bent down at Target looking at something on the shelf and this man rubs against my backside to “pass by” and said “excuse me’ - it startled me and he was gone before i could react but i realized there was a huge space behind me for him to walk by without him needing to brush up against me to get by and we were the only 2 people in the aisle - i was so shook up. So glad this woman caught and confronted this creep!

About 8 years ago I walked into a hobby lobby with my boyfriend at the time. A man walked by and my boyfriend muttered "creep" under his breath. I asked why he had said that and he told me the guy just gave him a really sick feeling when he looked him in the eye. That interaction sparked something in me and I decided to follow the man. He was about 20 feet ahead of me and turned down an aisle. When I caught up, I saw him kneeling behind a woman, burying his face in her rear-end as close as he could get without actually touching her and taking a deep sniff. Shocked, I exclaimed, "What are you doing!?" Startled, he tried to flee past us, but we blocked his path. Eventually, he managed to slip away and bolt out of the store. I will never forget how scared and upset the lady was. We escorted her to the checkout and walked her out of the store, while also alerting security about the incident. It was a surreal and unforgettable experience, reinforcing the importance of trusting your instincts!!

Thank goodness she did this - I bet it happens more often than people think. A few years ago, I was at a supermarket and these two guys were behind me and one snapped a pic of my rear. Like they thought I was that unaware that I couldn't hear them talking "why don't you take a pic it'll last longer" and whipping out the phone and snapping away. I was so shocked this happened in the middle of the day, in a nice area, in such a brazen manner - like they were literally 2 feet behind me in the freaking rice/grains section in a nice supermarket wth. I just stood there and thought "wow, that really happened" instead of making a huge scene like I should have. I wish this lady was there!
