- Sushi Staples, 37, lied to police when they went to her home to investigate a call that her 10-year-old son's body was hidden in her home after the boy accidentally shot himself. Staples insisted she only had daughters when Rock Island Police asked about her son, Zion. Police returned with a warrant to search her home and interrogated Staples at her kitchen table. So you think it's mentally healthy to be doing background checks on your neighbors and friends without any actual reason to do so. That's a serious invasion of privacy and not one of you would be able to trust someone who did that to you. it's not a matter of having nothing to hide or not. There's something seriously broken about society these days. I've never even had a parking ticket but if I found out that people were digging into my past without reason, I would be utterly disgusted and feel violated. People's private business is their own and no one has the right to invade someone's privacy like that on a whim, without consent.

Well when they start it off with denial of having the son, and then “do you have a search warrant?” To come inside and look for the child, just to assure they are okay, that’s all ya need to hear to know there’s something going on inside that house she doesn’t want anyone to see. Fear is not a valid excuse for desecration of remains, she burned him, 2 years for that is a sick joke and the evil ones are the ones laughing.

the person who called DCFS said this was far from the first time she called DCFS about this family, this was just the first time they actually investigated anything. some of the neighbors moved in after zion’s death so they didn’t know to be concerned. i’m not sure about his father of the father of the other two children or school, none of that info is known or public.
This is one of the things that bother me most about these cases. None of the fathers are involved. They can't be. She possibly had him home schooled or he passed over the summer.
How about charging her for not securing a firearm? Child neglect for sure.

They went great lengths to arrest her. The detective was so upset he was willing to even arrest for fraud. They 100% would have tried to get her for murder. Probably a lack of evidence.
They slapped her with multiple charges and the DA dropped the more severe ones for a plea deal.

I called cops a few months ago on someone who had violent intentions towards me for no reason (crazy neigh hood drug addict whose attacked me for being a woman before) and I asked to stay anon for my safety and first thing I hear when they arrive is that girl in that flat there called 😧 I heard her cackling after they left threatening to have me r worded gang style by men. I had to move to escape it cause police kept letting them off on literal drug crazed attacks and would take her back to the scene...

I'm sure that was thoroughly looked into. The fact that they didn't charge her with the act of shooting him, tells me that they had enough evidence to confirm it was in fact accidental. I'm sure that was one of the very first angles they investigated.

That’s pathetic that she got a two year sentence when she probably took his life. Then hid him bc she wanted to keep on fraudulently claiming him to receive benefits. Something similar happened near the community where I live. A 19 year old special needs boy was allegedly killed by his father when the father got mad bc his son had an accident in his pants and the father had to clean him up. He then cut him up and put him in a freezer out in the backyard where they were renting a double wide trailer. They moved about a year later and left the freezer so when the new ppl rented the property, they went out to clean up the yards and went to load the freezer up to haul it off and that’s when they found the boys body. They kept it hidden so they could continue receiving his benefits 🤬 Now I wish I had never watched this video bc my blood is boiling bc people in this world are so cruel and will do ANYTHING for the almighty DOLLAR 🤬
