- Alright folks its time for some Anime figure news. Wonhobby 38 is here and it's a big one. Nearly 300 figures at this event with companies like Good Smile Company, Max Factory, Phat Company, & Solarain all showing up. Spoilers but this is event was extremely kind to me. What a wonderful feeling it is to finally get your most anticipated figure.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that there were a few GSC figures that werent in the gallery that showed up at wonfes like the Kirby cafe nendoroids and the RWBY figures. I'll try and remember them for the next video, but yeah I have no idea why they were included. Also I did skip a few items in the gallery for time reasons, so be sure to double check the gallery. Tried to cover almost everything though
So yeah usually I record these the following day but decided this time around to just get into it as the event was unfolding. Fun for sure, maybe a little sloppier in execution, not sure, ya'll can let me know. Also sorry if they music is a little loud, always hard for me to tell for whatever reason as these videos sound different on youtube compared to my editing software. Shouldn't be too bad though, but yeah hope you guys enjoy, and I'll get into the wonfes stuff later in the week

This Wonhobby has been one of the best ones I’ve seen in a while. Usually I feel like one series gets everything and maybe one or two other series gets something but that’s it. This year was a good spread of everything for everyone. I know my fiancé was excited about the full metal alchemist and Sekiro nendoroids, myself the mononoke and kamisama kids ones. Though the biggest surprise of all was Gecco’s announcements. One of my fiancé’s favourite characters got announced and honestly neither of us thought would be given the size of the character. Which I would be interested in hearing your opinion on as the character is rumoured to be huge 20+ inches and given Artorias’ price tag probably will be into the thousands in terms of price. As much as my fiancé has been dreaming about this character the size and the price does have him worried and I wonder if it does for others as it should be as big as a resin. Plus Gecco taking as long as they do making their figures being both a positive and a negative, great for saving bad if you want the figure anytime soon.
I'ma just tell ya right now that seeing Radahn sent me into shock lol. Like, that is something I REALLY would love to have but I can not imagine being able to afford him. Honestly gecco just having multiple figures at the event was nuts to me considering how quiet they were during the pandemic. Understandable of course, and they continued with Silent Hill during that time, but all of a sudden seeing a bunch of bloodborne/sekiro/elden ring all at once was overwhelming.
Thank you for your hard work. Seeing your live reactions to some of the figures was really nice. I hope we can see more of that in the future😊
And is it just me, or are we getting more and more amazing figure announcements with every new event? As it is, I might have to live on air, so that I can afford all figures I want 😆

Was really hoping to get a look at the Winter Shopper Rupee scale that I've waited months to drop for preorder but they at least made up for it with announcing the Sparkling Summer Anis scale. The announcement of the Nendoroid for Formidable was also an unexpected but very much welcome surprise.

I'm excited for the Cardcaptor Sakura nendoroids of course and the Taiga. Also interested in a surprising amount of pop up parades.
Also I have never played xenoblade and have no idea who Mio is but listening to you talk about her figure makes me want to pick it lol
They also announced some Pop ups for Cardcaptor but for some reason they weren't in the gallery so I'll have to remember to bring them up in the next video. As for Xenoblade, I'm sure I'll be talking about it a lot more real soon lol. Either with her figma coming out or the figure going up for preorder, but also I'm toying with the idea of making an extra wonfes video where I just talk about the things I'm super excited about. I feel like I wont want to after I tackle the next video cause it's gonna be another huge one, but it's one the mind at least. If you like jrpgs the series is def worth a shot. I think above all it's just the way the stories are told and the emotions they evoke that separate it from other series, and Mio's story in 3 is just so easy to get invested in. Big part of why I like her so much is also thanks to her voice actress in English. Aimee-Ffion Edwards has such an amazing performance, but the dubs in 1 and 3 are genuinely great. 2 unfortunately was rushed for localization so the dub suffers alot as a result, but it kinda grows on you if you stick it out
I look forward to these review vids after these events, cant believe how quick you got this one out, amazing job! Cant wait to see what else Koto has, I want more Bishoujo MLP :P :D

Yeah I just swear a lot normally but usually clean it up for the videos. Very noticeable when re-watching the footage. Could use censors I guess, but I feel like that could get annoying so eh. But yeah Blue archive went nuts at this event. I think there's even more I haven't seen yet.

I appreciate it. Sometimes I do feel a bit pressured to present videos in a certain way which saps the fun out of it, though I can understand the mindset of viewers wanting what they signed up for. Still, the reception seems mostly positive for this video with the criticism being valid as I do wish I could have organized the video a bit more efficiently
Hey Zucco! Thank you for getting us up to speed with the festival and I am looking forward to Part 2, whenever it may be.
Fantastic spread of choices this round that must have pleased many different fans. For me, the highlight (at least up to your sharing and till I dive deeper into MFC) would be the painted Volume of Nikke whom if you felt her outfit is edgy, she is a rapper in the game - she is also my first unique pull of the game. Other than that, I am happy to see more manufacturers getting into Frieren as I definitely love to own an iconic figure of her, ideally her and Himmel, then Fern and Stark. Also surprised to not see more Arknight or Genshin ones announced, but maybe it will be in your part two.
Onto my observations and feedback:
-I like the live aspect of your presentation which led to your few spontaneous reactions. I may be wrong - but this is not something you usually do as opposed to your PO roundup which you would usually maintain some visibility and have gone through the list more or less. I can't say for sure which I like but different formats have their focus and I hope that you are not bothered by the potential dilemma.
- I like the pacing up till the 75% mark or so, which expedited when your voice started feeling strained. At this point, I am not sure if you may be running into any recording limitation or trying to refrain from giving us too long a video - I was thinking for such a spontaneous, live sharing, maybe you can consider doing more of a 'stream format' so you can casually share while taking slips of drink or something I envision. I hope this may ease your strains and the need to end promptly (if this was part of the considerations) which at this point I am sure you know those who are watching you don't mind any longer format 😅
- Lastly and taking a chance here, I noted you prefer focusing on selected standout figures. Maybe you can consider after doing these speedier round-ups to do a separate video that talks more indepth into these figures that interest you or you will likely/PO.
To be honest I am always trying to keep my "long" videos around 1 hour long or at most an hour and a half. It was probably more noticeable this time that I was speeding things up as it was getting late in the day, my voice was dying, and the figures towards the later half I didn't have as much to say. With like 300 announcements I think thats understandable lol. I actually was thinking of streaming this event believe it or not, but for some personal reasons I decided last second not to. Ultimately that lead to me just recording the event right when the gallery went live.
A separate video isnt a bad idea. I think it would depend on how the next one turns out though because I have a lot more figures to get through

I'm a little late to this vid but just wanted to say I'm sooo excited for the Yu Yu Hakusho figures! The original set was part of my first few figures I ever owned so it's a nice full circle moment. I agree Kurama looks a lil underwhelming compared to the rest but I'll reserve full judgment until he's out.
On the topic of yyh though, I can't believe Botan hasn't gotten a proper scale yet. I always really loved her colour palette and if done well she would make a great dynamic figure with her flying on her oar.
As someone who still loves InuxBoku to this day and wishes to own a lil ririchiyo figure or anything really, those nendos were an absolute pleasant surprise
safe to say, my wallet can go and cry in a corner because I really need them haha
I wish we got to see them but they had the most boring announcement cards lol. I really appreciate these niche picks from GSC at this Wonhobby though. Just seems like they tried extra hard this time around to appeal to as many people as possible
True that, I sure hope we'll get to see some prototypes soon, or else I'll worry they'll just be forgotten on a shelf somewhere, they could have at least put a picture of the characters xD honestly, I really appreciate them picking up some older anime and manga to make merch for, I actually had never expected anything inuxboku to ever pop up again since the mangaka died some years back, but since they're adapting her last work as an anime soon, maybe they just went with the inuxboku ip as they were on it already

Perfect figure for a perfect character. Eunie getting a figure is still wild to me but man I'm happy about it. Sadly I doubt they'll go far with this figma line but getting Sena along side them would be great
Out of this roundup, I'm pouncing on the 2B from Max Factory! Outside of resins, that's the best 2B and pod composition I have seen. I agree that the GSC Frieren is looking more promising than the other couple versions, and I will buy depending on the paintwork
I do wish that I was more blown away by GSC's Frieren, but she's definitely solid. Hoping Alter takes a crack at making a figure of her cause that just seems like something that would happen

I like the live reactions! Happy for you that they showed Mio. Not familiar with Xenoblade myself, but I think she looks great. Thankfully the only "absolute must have" for me was the March 7th (Mitsuki) Nendo from Star Rail since I'm really into that game right now. Added plenty of stuff to my MFC wishlist that I want to keep an eye on though, like the Taiga PUP and figures from Frieren. Really want to get a Frieren figure but there hasn't been one yet where I've felt like, "This is it, this is the one" lol.
This event was definitely a bit skewed in my favor. Usually it's not like this, but I'm not complaining lol. I definitely feel that with Frieren though. The options right now aren't bad, but I was really hoping GSC would blow me away. We'll get a perfect one eventually though, I don't doubt that
32:55 Yea I do like that Frieren, but there’s no way it’s nicer than the Design Coco figure, it’s a very nice figure once you buy both Frieren & Fern. The base looks great once it’s together, and the likeness is great for the characters, especially Fern.
46:07 Yea they did a great job with this character, she looks amazing. I’m a huge Kotobukiya fan, I rarely dislike any of their figures.
As long as they keep pumping out those Trails Divine Knight Model kits, I'll keep buying them in the hopes of having them all displayed somewhere. I have confidence Adol will be painted well, the other 2 male characters they have done from Trails have been excellent. I think if they did a Adol X Dana cover art it would have to be a different company as I'm not sure Kotobukiya does paired figures. I'm definitely curious what Dana is going to look like, hopefully its as dynamic as the art and they get the hair and belly sculpt right. Joshua Bright is indeed Estelle's Adoptive brother as well as lover, to find out why you'll have to play Sky FC and SC together. My wallet is going to be stretched this year buying all these and more when they come out.
Beyond that though I'm definitely looking to pick up a Frieren, possibly this good smile one once its painted. The Kotobukiya one's face and hair doesn't quite hit it for me, the base is pretty decent as usual. The ecchi figures this wonderfest oh boy..

7:15 Zucco doesn't realize how significant this is. This character has been known as the alias 'March 7th' for 2 years. The fact GoodSmile dropped the ball and released her real name means a lot in the HSR community, as it has not yetbeen revealed in-game, and there was no hint at upcoming storyline that would do so. She was named March 7th in lore cuz that's the day she was discovered.
Update: revisited the site via your link today and Good Smile fixed the name back to March 7th.
Good Smile leaking information was not something I expected to happen at Wonhobby but also it's very funny to me that I had no idea about any of this

I'm disaplointed with Konosuba Wiz being L size! Like, I understand why they did it but I just want her to be regular sized so she can fit in with the rest of the gang in my collection. (Same with 7 Deadly Sins Diane 😂)

Diane makes sense to be a bit bigger but I get what you mean. They probably just made a bigger figure for Wiz because no one else wants to make a scale for her. So she'll fit in better with other scales from konosuba but not the pop ups. Annoying for some people and good for others

I am so happy that the Mio scale has finally been painted. All the Xenoblade Chronicles figures have been amazing, and it looks like Mio will be no exception. She looks insanely good in that drip! The icing on the cake? She won't take up a ton of space to display, unlike her predecessors. I hope they eventually make a scale for Eunie too. While we are on the topic of Xenoblade, can we please have some figures for Nopon?
They should experiment with Xenoblade Nendos with the Nopon. Less commitment and would fit the line fairly well

The Bocchizilla is so sick, I hope it'll come with her fire breath. Probably too much to ask, but a black and white version like in the actual scene would be cool too. Some synergy with the black and white release of Godzilla Minus One lol. I like this style of vid too, keep it up

I don't mind the style. I like hearing those tangential comments about a particular figure, like the manufacturer's quality, or if there was a previous similar figure that looked better etc.
It's all a learning experience in the end for me. Always gotta keep improving
Nothing particularly stands out, but I'm curious about the Kusanagis final products (Nendo and scale). And also what they're trying to do with Rikka Takarada, hanging from the ceiling.

W. Damn, they really want me to only spend on BA, huh. I'm specially excited for the Mika scale, it may be my favorite BA figure yet, most of them are based on existing official art but afaik that one is original and looks lovely.
Can't blame you with the gacha thing, I feel like BA is as nice as you can get with a gacha but I may also be lucky lol. But for those in the fence, the only thing where you need really specific units is to get high in raid event rankings. The story is really easy and everything else has difficulty options (At the beggining you may be missing enough units of an "element" but it isn't that bad). The PvP also requires some units but it's a minor mode and even then it's really easy to catch up and there isn't much powercreep. Also there are things like the best 2 PvP tanks being a free unit you get by starting the game and a 2 star unit. But I also play everyday and I wasn't expecting to rush anything when I started, it's still a "play daily to progress slowly" game like most gachas
I've almost played Blue Archive in the past but it was at a time where my phone was noticeably losing battery faster and I also was using that phone for my videos so I couldn't afford to risk it dying. Downloaded it and booted it up and then realized I was making a mistake lol. Can't get over how good the music is though so at least I appreciate it in some way
I have to say for someone who's in love with nendoroids... they outdid themselves. Seeing Inu x Boku SS getting nendos after all these years, I feel like a young teenager again :") (well, the announcement at least lmao)
Not to mention My Hero Academia nendos looks FANTASTIC! Aizawa looks soo good and I love the way they coloured Lady Nagant's hair a lot.
Getting Sekiro was dope, ngl. I do hope they'll do more characters from this series!
More Honkai Star Rail is also dope! I genuinely hope they'll do so much more for this line!
And lastly.. for a big Zero Two fan, getting another nendo version is super sick! Now I just need a Strelitzia nendo.
Also Figma is cracking! The TTOK line, more Xenoblade 3 is more than welcome.
The spread of Nendos this time was definitely strong. Even as someone who has decided to slow down on Nendo purchases I couldn't help but get excited for a few of these.

Also I didn’t realize that the Rika was for a figure, which… no. That will bin if they leave it. That is not the same character. But yeah, might get a Miku figure for the first time with Toridamono art.

You do a great job of having something to say about so many figures. I couldn't do it. My only feedback would be that it isn't necessary to explain so much of the recording process and the video format. Just get to the content 😀
Word, I over-explain too much assuming people care lol. Definitely noticed that throughout multiple videos but it's just a bad habit as I talk alot in general
@@ZuccoFigures A lot of you-tubers do the same thing. I just think it sounds a little more polished and professional when editing notes and behind the scenes terms like "b-roll" are not mentioned in the video. That's my opinion though. Either way, you have a talent for creating engaging and descriptive commentary.

As a Blue Archive fans I'm like surprise with the amount of figures we got and the variety of students they did.
Blue Archive and Nikke are pumping out tons of figures all of a sudden. Gacha really is taking over lol
I'm really digging the racing Miku, but I think that I just really enjoy that artist in general. The MaoMao sculpt works for me and I feel vindicated in holding off for scales.
Outside of that, it feels great to be a Spice & Wolf fan given recent announcements. It's about time we've gotten Lawrence and Myuri figures though.
Toridamono can get pretty wild but his approach on Miku's design just shows off what a great character designer he is. Thicker thighs sure, but it's overall a very cute take on the character
I love GSC figure Hitagi and Misaka, but I won't pre-order when it comes from GSC SHANGHAI. May be consider to buy it after released.
Enjoyed your live reactions and don't mind the cursing at all (I know I can make a sailor blush if I wanted too). Hopefully this makes it easier for you moving forward making these kinds of videos 😊
I enjoyed this format but I do wish I could have actually went through each type of figure one by one(nendos in one section and so on). Just something I gotta keep in mind
@@ZuccoFigures I guess you could do 2 things: either sort out your tabs/ windows grouped into sections that you want to do in order OR film like normal and spend time cutting and editing to put the sections together. I would assume sorting the windows/ tabs would be easier so you could just open window, go through tabs, close, move on to next window, repeat.
I AM so happy that Ángel from King of Fighters finally got a figure! I have been wishing for one the longest time and ever since they made Mai Shiranui for Kotobukiya's Bishoujou line, i was like "Come on! Please make more SNK/KoF girls! You've got a Gold mine there!"
And wouldn't you know it: they announced a silhouette of Ángel back in Aug 2023. I screamed to the heavens: YESSSSSS!!!
I gasped when I saw her reveal in colour.. She was beautiful. It's an instant preorder for me and I might have to order from Kotobukiya for the first time because I really like the bonus face for Ángel.
Yeah she looks lovely. As a side note, I felt a little WEEB for pronouncing her name the way I did in the video, but since I don't play King of Fighters much I actually forgot how you were supposed to say it at the time lol. I just knew it wasn't ANGEL

Nikke Guren(aka Scarlet), I played the game for a while and I'd say I do like my swordswomen.
Nikke Rapi, she is the main girl after all... Though in all honesty I'd like to see her in uniform.
Things that are somewhat interesting to me but I won't be buying.
The new Chun Li. Because yep, the existing chun li(on the pillar) is better.
Max Factory 2B, I do think this might end up being the best figure of her. But statues.
Max Factory Marin. I agree, I prefer the Aniplex uniform Marin over this, at least based on the photos. That said, the Max Factory one does have an art base, which is superior to Aniplex's brand base.
P.S. Other Nikke character I like are Mihara, for IMO best asset, Dolla because businesswomen are rare although the dress ver is also smoking, Yan because step on me energy and Red Hood, the only character I actually really like the character of. I did consider Pirvaty and Diesel because I do have a thing for uniform, but... if I were to wait for a uniformed Rapi, I won't need those. And while Blanc and Noir are hot, that is simply due to them being bunny girls and I've plenty of bunnies where I actually love the character of. The fact that I feel very little toward the rest and even actively dislike some of the cast is why I dropped the game. It feels a bit of a failure as a waifu gacha game for so many character to be oh so very bland and sterotypical. That and there was access issue during my travels, which made me think about it. I might watch the story on some videos but no point in playing anymore.
Well, cannot say I like chaotic mode that much. If I am interested in scales only for example, this does not work, cannot skip those nendos... Regardless, that Mio got even me salivating, and I know nothing about Xenoblade since it's not on PC nor PS...
Yeah I understand. I did miss having the categories organized in this video a little bit but because of the way the site works I didn't have a good solution for that. I suppose I could throw in chapters for the scales if I were to do this again, but we'll see I guess. The next video will be more like the usual stuff at the very least

This Wonhobby was a mixed bag for me. The big one was Noragami getting a Yato nenderoid. I gasped so loud when I saw it lol. I have a strict 'no-nenderoids' policy cause I don't want to open that can of worms but...I may need to break that rule just this once. Cause who knows if we'll ever get any more new Noragami stuff.
The only other figures that caught my eye are the Hatsune Miku - Fantasia Witch Ver. by Ribose, Hatsune Miku - Sakura, Hanami Outfit Ver by GSC, and the Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian figure by GSAS (Which is very beautiful but I already have the one that released recently and I like the one I have better, I think).
Oh, also maybe the Holo Yukata ver. by Kadokawa and the Challe figure from Sugar Apple Fairy Tale by Design Coco.
We'll see how they turn out!

They're finally making more and more Nikke figures *Everyone loved that*. And can I just say, this "man" Asanagi is going crazy with how many figures "he" has. I don't actually know if Asanagi is a guy, but probably? Either way, he has more figures than possibly any other artist on the planet. I like them, don't get me wrong but damnnnn boi.

Highly reccomend blue archive, its not as greedy as other gacha games. Its a game that respects your time and knows you have other games youre playing. Not paytowin except maybe endgame pve/pvp, which doesnt really matter to most people. Its nexons revival game in japan, and global mobile. It had a bad launch in jp, but its all fixed for globals launch. What othher gacha game gives 100 free pulls once a year in one event alone.
Too bad I quit Genshin and sold all my figures of that game. The Apex HuTao announcement had my jaw on the floor since she's my favorite character from there. Gonna be fighting demons trying to not pre order it lmao

lol I was rushin with this one to be quick as I wasn't doing anything else. It definitely took quite a few hours don't get me wrong, though part of that was the painful process of chopping up all the footage I want to use, then rewatching it again and making very tiny trims to make it flow smoother

There's a lot of exciting stuff in this event for me, always excited to see a chubbier girl get a cute figure, always excited to see a Rin and Len, love that we're getting a Nana...But the only *Guaranteed* buy for me, considering my fucked up financial situation, is gonna have to be the (now)painted Jaden Nendo. I've said before lack of shading doesn't bother me, I do prefer less shading personally, when it gets to a certain point they just start to look *dirty* to me...But even if I thought he looked bad...And I do a bit...I would still buy him, because Jaden is my number one boy. I already have the Ichibankuji figure preordered and if I *need* to sell blood to get his nendo, I will.
However, something close to a must buy, though not for me, for my best friend, would be the Jaws Nendo, depending on how much it is, I might have to get that for her.
I don't think the Jaden Nendo is super bad or anything, I just thought there was a noticeable dip in quality compared to Yusei. Plus I had Jaden's Amakuni scale on the mind which is basically perfect so yeah, just stood out more. If he's your number 1 character than I totally understand as I've been there plenty of times

The Amakuni figure *is* pretty well perfect too, might be a touch unfair to compare them all things considered xD Over all I think the nendo is cute, and I've had a little nendo cloak thing for almost a year waiting for him...But even if he was incredibly ugly, I'd still prolly wind up buying it. I've bought a couple of ugly figures op purpose before, I'm not above that...I'm just not too surprised that between Yusei and Jaden, Jaden is the one who got the short end of the stick xD
