Ah man the hololive Kanata fig has lore. Amazon Japan didn't properly do preorders on her and it caused a MASSIVE amount of cancellations (I was a victim of it too) That's why her aftermarket skyrocketed so bad. Really glad Claynel gave us mercy to those whose orders were cancelled and opened them on amiami.
Thanks for sharing this information! I have been wondering why there was a re-release so soon - aside, I also been hearing some other collectors' sharing of similar cancellation incidents when ordering on Amazon Japan on other figures...which makes me very skeptical about ever POing there.
This problem seems to happen with a few figures on Amazon Japan. I had my Pokemon Center Dawn Winter version cancelled on me for what I can only imagine was the same reason.
I immediately thought of my cats trying to sit on Rikka's lap in her swing. Because they are so much bigger than her, Rikka and the swing would be on the floor broken on the first day!😅
Thanks for the extensive review - will hope to pick up the Miku (Shi Mian Mai Fu) at some point. Ideally, if the aftermarket drops a little and if GSC Shanghai will deliver on this complex piece. The name loosely translates to Ambush from 10 sides which is said to be a difficult piece to play on lute and also title of a popular chinese show. i like how they illustrated the chaotic, yet classy in the war-time theme.
Preposterous! Perseus and her owl are perfect together! ;) For real though, the original illustration for her in the game has the same feeling. And the owl is quite distinguishable from the character, which is interesting in my eyes. Also, thanks for the video, I'll probably get the chinese Miku. Which is single shipment too, wonder why everything is nowadays.
the aniplex ultimate madoka one is the same sculptuer that is doing my rozemyne from ascendance of a bookworm. man im excited to get Rozemyne in june and the street style miku is also the same sculptuer. this sculpter is great imo

February is a mostly fine month for me outside of nendoroids and I’m working on culling those for now. As for scales and Pop Up Parades! The Sei Shonagon scale absolutely catches my eye and is a major want of mine but that sure is a price tag they picked for her! Yeesh. I’m not sure if I want to PO on GSCUS since it’ll probably bin at both AmiAmi & BBTS and will probably stay at GSCUS so long she starts being included in every sale (I think it’ll probably bin that hard). I’m hoping it bins at BBTS particularly so I can bundle it with other preorders I have there/things I hope stay in stock until my pos come in. It’ll probably be more expensive than using amiami in the long run but the pile of loot option has a lot of value for me I’m willing to chance it! The Kirby Pop Up Parade is so so so cute but one of the few guarantees in life are death, taxes, and GSC rereleasing their Kirby Nendoroids so I have high hopes for a Pop Up Parade reissue at a later date. He’s a safe skip for now. Can’t wait to watch the Mio video tomorrow and thank you for another preorder roundup! I hope March treats you well!

Personally, I like the large framed glasses on Hobby Sakura's 'Rabbit Girl', even with the neon green half stripe on it. I think it adds an additional layer than just another sexy bunny girl but maybe they can be removed? Clearly, the glasses aren't the focus here and I very much agree that they did an amazing job on those feet. It'll be amazing if they can pull off those little details in the production version. My biggest gripe is I wish they had made her in a 1/6, allowing for better application of both sculpt and paint detail. 🤞🤞

How lng before we get a Minami Fuyki figure from Hokkaido Gals ARe Super Adorable? Also still simmering abut Keijo getting ipped in terms of figures, that is a top five anime. (Okay maybe top ten, BOFURI is very high up now too, but Keijo is soemwhere in there.)

Licensing / details / popularity of the character / brand reputation. So many factors I’m sure the prices are not randomised. Though it can sometimes lean the other, ie I bought the Noel Shirogane bikini figure by GSC and the quality is outstanding for the price. Beats some figures that are double.
For Kashino I'm pretty sure she went up March 1st? I basically just follow the Japanese dates when making these videos. Kyouka Uzen I'm not sure. Mighta just missed it
I was so disappointed in that FMA scale. I have the Kotobukiya Roy and I got him pretty cheap and was satisfied with him. But uh, yeah yikes. Especially because its not like we're getting FMA scales every week or anything so. Sei you know, I like her as I like the design, I love it and I will be buying it for my fate collection, but I see no universe in which this figure doesn't tank and is like half off in a month in the Amiami preowned section so I'm waiting for that. Same thing with Jalter figure, I own the big one with the insane shipping and its like my favorite Fate figure soo I will be buying this one too probably. I am waiting because if BB was any indication fate females by alter always drop off in price these days. I was also very VERY disappointed in the Yakuza scales. The shirtless ones. Come on man, we don't get figures from this franchise often and you shaft them like this? Man, those seamlines. Get it outta here.
Phat and Alter figures bin all the time and they haven't really adjusted their strategy so price drops are inevitable, and yeah the Yakuza figures kinda stink besides Majima who's fine. I mean at the very least they are half the price of normal scales but they don't really satisfy anyone
I'm in love with the Azur Lane Formidable Rose Ceremony version! I preordered so fast! Been searching for a nice Formidable figure and I wasn't a fan of how the swimsuit version came out so I am incredibly hyped for this elegant version. I can't wait to see how the other two girls in the artwork turn out in figure form.
