I don't usually exclaim at the sight of a fish, but MY LORD, that thing is gorgeous!!! One thing that is interesting in many of the photos and videos of Scottish waters is the lack of riparian vegetation that offers prime habitat for trout and salmon. Realizing brush may bother a backcast, it is understandable to trim, but has it been completely eliminated? As boys we used to "bang" the willows to chum up trout with the bugs that hit the water. It's a pretty fun experience.
You dont get much better than that lovely salmon just a shame never got to see out of the net to get a good look not very many people get there first salmon on the fly being a beast of 26lbs
should have kept rod up you say ,,,the lads first salmon on fly give him some credit he landed it how did you s play your first fly big big salmon simlar way of course you did so did i ,,,,well done lad we learn as we catch more everyone that is ,,,
Get that hand away from that reel 😂 watched so many people panic playing a salmon and they just lock the spool with there hand and snap off. Well done though that man.
Nothing as annoying when fishing as someone constantly asking questions from the bank as to "are you enjoying it, are you enjoying it, are you enjoying it" when you are in a fish. Never got a good look at the fish here
wow... good to see the rod bouncing like that. Rod needed to be held up more often but great video. loved to have saw the fish out the net though lads.

Marsh Man I know the guy was a fanny pad.
One of the main reasons I fish alone..would be nice to have someone netting for me though!..lovely fish that.
Marsh Man yup let the man concentrate on playing such a big fish instead of trying to distract him and steal the limelight!
Very lucky to land that with such interesting rod/reel work.
Shut up with the back handed criticism
Hope was returned safely to water
Nice fish but should keep the rod up!
