Excellent video again, thanks. I've fished Forres many years ago but never the middle beats. Stunning place to fish. Its good to see a local rod with knowledge and experience making these videos.👍
Thank you, yes luckily i live not to far. There really isn't any other river like the Findhorn that i have fished, you should try some of the middle beats they are spectacular.
Great visuals of a stunning place. The music suited and all the way through I didn't care a jot if you caught a fish or not probably unlike you. Thanks.
@@nairnfly fantastic. No spring fish over here, one day i’ll come and try a proper sized east coast river. I read in T&S the Nairn had been quite affected by the foods, so that’s a great start, sounds like there are a few fish about which is a good sign 👍
Great video David. I must give more beats of the Findhorn a go. I feel your pain losing that fish at least the feeling didn't last long with your two off the Nairn soon after.
You cant win them all fish was head knocking all the time which is never a good sign. Glad my mate got one 10 mins after though. The Nairn is a fantastic wee river.
Looked like a good fish on Cothall, applying a bunch of pressure on a fish while standing still after it has run out a bunch of line? Fast flowing shallow water with lots of big rocks, so walk down the bank while maintaining some pressure. Don't let the fish pay you!
Yes been good water most of the year normally would be on a 5ft fast for most of my fishing. Its the most spectacular river i have fished lot of big fish run it too.
Awesome pal. Love your content, it's been a while. Unlucky with the springer, you nearly lost your knuckles when it ran haha. Congrats to your pal, braw fish. How you getting on with that Z1? Ive got one coming tomorrow 14'er cant wait to give it a go.
Thank you been on loosing streak up to yesterday with 4 lost but bagged 2 on nairn yesterday. Z1 is excellent its my go to rod even over my 15ft mackenzie. My mate chris in vid uses the same.
@@nairnfly Is it the 14 ft er you've got? I couldn't work out from the vid. If it is what line you using, save me a load of testing ;) Been out about 10 times, not even a pull so youre doing fantastic!
@@auldwader yes its the 14ft you can always tell on my videos as i only use the ported 811 classic on it. I have the 13ft Z1 and use the solid 79 classic on it. The lines i use is the Gaelforce integrated shotting head on 14ft and Gaelforce spey line on the 13ft. Great rods and lines.
@@nairnfly Brilliant thanks for that pal. Is it the 34g or 39g (#9 or #10) Gaelforce Integrated you're using on the 14'. Ive got both but just wondering what you think loads things appropriately. Thanks for taking the time.

Excellent video as always David, unlucky couldnt be helped! What a beautiful fish the other lad landed and great looking beat! I need to visit! Thanks
Thanks Colin plenty good beats on the Findhorn it has to be the most spectacular river in Scotland in my opinion.
@@nairnfly Thanks David, yes it's been on my list for a long time, maybe soon!!!

Findhorn might be the most beautiful river in Scotland imo.
Completely agree its hands down my favourite place to fish.
Brilliant video pal, what flies and tips were you using?
Thanks Liam was using 8ft superfast with Dee Monkey conehead for most of the footage.
Take it the river was up a good bit was it? Never fished the findhorn, definitely will this year though

Is this beat any good back end? Ive just booked the last sat in Sep for a day out.
Should be some fish around mostly coloured but if you goin to get a clean fish it will be from here. Tight lines !!
Another cool vid mate a change in music ?😊
