My suggestion for another way to save orbs is to do other activities like watching movies, anime, vtubers, etc. or do some workout activities just to keep yourself healthy. I'm starting to save orbs for DS of Harmonic Myrrh and maybe I'm hoping for Neimi to come in FEH
After being baited by Duo Sothis at the start of October. I decided to look up on this video. I looked at comments to see how people were able to avoid temptation and save orbs for who they are after. I learnt I could balance my schedule if I have study revisions for my exams which clears my brain. Studying and playing FEH actually made life more fun. My goal right now is to +10 Ingrid, my favourite character in Three Houses, after that, I +10 Duo Sothis next year.
so one point about tip #4; that's actually exactly the reason i do the owl bank; numbers getting bigger. by keeping the orbs in the bank, that gives TWO numbers getting bigger that eventually form into one *super* big number. which makes hitting the "on hand" milestones even sweeter when you realize "i have X orbs *and* i have Y many more stocked up". in other words; monkey brain bad at object permanence and numbers, exploit both for serotonin
My tip is, make an alt account if you want a unit to summon (an email too, if possible) use f2p orbs to just flush all the feelings of wanting to summon and try out the new units
I’m out here doing the orb saving thing for the second time (first time was for Lilith which I had 2,032 orbs when her banner released) and now I’m saving for Anankos who I currently have 600+ orbs saving currently.
I have a bad habit of spending orbs and money on this game so now I try to not play feh after 4-5pm which is usually when I splurge. This is a great video! Maybe like a year ago I had a lot of orbs but I spent most of them for summer Freddy (I love him not matter the power creep) but the feh bank really helped me and now I'm saving for any Frederick, Cherche, and Gerome alts, I really hope they get something soon!
I'm glad you liked the video! Good on you for developing healthier playing habits, I know it can be really hard. Also I've been looking out for a Cherche alt since the beginning, it feels so overdue.

It’s actually really funny that you brought up Spring Marisa, back when her banner first came out I saved up orbs for her rerun on a Legendary banner, I had over 1500 orbs and before that point I don’t think I ever had 300 at a time, I learned a lot about saving during that time and I’m still using the skills I learned today, I ended up merging her to +10 and I got a +10 L!Azura as well
I like collecting orbs at the mailbox. I try to collect at least 100 before collecting them, until then I don't even think about summoning. Once I collect, I think about how I can reward myself, by starting to think about which banner to summon for, which might take a couple months, all the while I just repeat the process. When Micaiah, and only Micaiah, comes out though, I summon :)

I'm currently saving for Pirate Naesala's rerun, i'm trying to get him to +3 at the least. he was NOT cooperative on his OG banner, since i got to 5.25% twice in order to get one copy of him. currently sitting at about 100 orbs for him, I wouldn't mind him sharing with anyone EXCEPT S!Mercedes. I'm very uninterested in her character and fodder, she's the only dud on the lineup for me.
Now I want to be known as the guy who wants to +10 all the Lucinas, already did the original, I´m at +4 with the brave and I need a lot of copies for the Legendary and Spring ones
You know, something that has always pressured me into spending orbs is the fact that heroes like many other games in past times, have been sadly shut down. It’s a scary thought but Ive lived with the mindset that if I don’t get everyone I want now, it’ll be too late by the time heroes stops being playable ;-; coming to a point where I’ve becoming a whale and I’d love to stop.. really i need to stop
My way of spending/saving orbs is basically using only the free pull on any banner that doesnt't involve free tickets and thanks to that i've saved up +750 orbs so far.
Hm, I don't think this is my style of playing. I'm a casual (and rather new) player, and I have just much more fun randomly spending orbs on new summoning events, and maybe getting a cool character I wouldn't have used otherwise, but I end up really liking them. I just love collecting new characters so much, I couldn't wait for that long. xD
Honestly this was just the video I needed! I’m saving orbs until November for L!Micaiah merges. If this upcoming New Heroes banner is Radiant Dawn, then I’ll use my orbs on that instead. I have 52 orbs right now since I ended up wasting some trying to get Duessel. Great video!
I've saved up over 8000 orbs for Luthier, but currently have only about 2200 right now since I'm trying to get him most inheritable skills. I do agree with most of those tips, but how about providing other resources that can help you save?

We get about 300 f2p orbs a month (which I should've mentioned in the video) and since I have Feh Pass I get an extra 12 each month. It also helped that 2021 had almost no Tellius units to tempt me
@@aidelai4098 oh cool! We get 1 story chapter a month so that's 27 orbs. We also get a Tempest Trials each month so that's ~40 more orbs. And then the monthly quests which add about 20. The rest of the f2p orbs come from login bonuses and other timed events, you can actually see a monthly breakdown here: feheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Orb_distribution
I don't know if I can give specific advice because it depends on a couple things. Your preferences, how many orbs you have currently, how far out that character is, etc. We get about 300 orbs per month, so you can plan ahead with that in mind. Based on my own experiences: I was able to occasionally drop ~150 orbs on banners because I already had a pretty big stockpile, and I knew that the Legendary unit I wanted wasn't coming out for a couple months. Most important thing is to not get carried away summoning on legendary/mythic banners because it's so easy to get screwed. imo you shouldn't spend orbs on them unless you like at least 2 of the 3 units on the color you're pulling.

the highest ive ever saved is 125 and ive played since launch theres so many 5* units i want to +10.

Hm, I don't think this is my style of playing. I never had the patience to save up to a 1000 orbs. Mythic and Legendary units are rare.
