So happy I’ve been loyal to my boy Brave Marth since he released. His built in vantage is sooooo amazing vs cav lines (especially paired with L!Alear during fire season). Very happy about Distant Counter (M) seal too since it opens up Bonus Doubler 4 in his A slot. The meta may shift infinitely, but my boy Brave Marth just doesn’t care. He’s like Quagsire, he just does his thing and vibes

What I need to understand is how I enact galeforce when I can't even get to the enemy. The traps the obstacles, plus the enemy is already in the back. Cav lines feel impossible.
Man I love your Meta Reports! I kinda have to disagree on your take on flier lines tho. If you build it properly you don't even need overlap!(except for Camilla, she cannot completely handle the Byleths). My Hinoka, Duo Seidr and Tea Lysithea can currently oneshot fully supported Byleths by themselves, and its not even close (thx to the dr piercing buff that Camilla gives). I would say their biggest weakness would be anti-warping and being stuck to only one column each unit (and of course W!Edelgard and galeforce in general, and also vantage, but those would also apply to cavlines)
@@FEH Honestly a pretty mainstream one rn. I used to run one that covered 5 or 6 columns but I realized having support and a save in the back was more consistent against player phase strategies. Now I have the typical with 4 columns covered, and its extremely difficult to tank with the usual saves or omni tanks, unless you manage to only tank Camilla, which is really difficult unless you only run 1 structure. I must say, tho, that the dark cavlines with nott and duo dagr are a little more consistent cause they are harder to predict (I run one almost exactly identical as the one you show in this video)
Literally to bring back tanks all IS needs is to give us a Flared damage counter. That is it. Flared damage is the real problem. Just free damage that bypasses all the rules of the game. That is just dumb.
Im currently putting my endphase/tanking tactics to the bench and currently doing galeforce tactics with the help of your galeforce guide and dtm as well - i keep coming back to it by the way 😅 Also, player phasing the nukes is the only counter nowadays but some difficulty may be encountered if we encounter near saves brave eldegards and ascended idduns. Hopefully, tanks will return as a big thing as using galeforce tactics require you to think so much as opposed to tanking where you just use the same manuevering all over with minimal analysis 😅
I've started to feel like return/rescue traps are slowly making a resurgeance in the meta lately due to how many tools healers have been getting in the past few months, and added with Freyr it is quite easy to pull it off on anima/chaos as well. They would usually use either F!Maria or Cornelia for that but with Tina thief staff being a thing now it looks like there is even more room for creativity with this archetype.
Cav lines are only strong if you dont have the space to have a safe 1st turn to position your units properly for attacking or tanking. The lack of space in your back row is the real killer
Well, I've been using tanks since the early days of Hector with Distant Counter, and I don't plan to stop now. They've had theior ups and downs but Armored Distant Counter units are still my favorites in the game.

Tanking may be going down but because it requires so many more resources it’s more satisfying than it’s ever been! Shoutout to L! Guin with attuned peony and bridal Fyorm support! With dodge she only tanks 1 damage from Fryer and hard counters Sinaki! Have to speed stack her like crazy or else she loses to Gullveig tho! Keep that in mind but man she’s SO UNDERRATED

Galeforce is starting to feel like it's the ONLY strategy in AR. I hate it. How are you supposed to deal with an overlap featuring a Hardy Bearing Sanaki without it.
Is it true whales are quitting after this ridiculous December banner? I know one personally who’d spent legendary amounts of cash and literally punched out because of this… looks like FEH kinda screwed themselves in the long run for short term gain.
As long as there's no duo sanaki or brave attacking wind claude, summer fjorm still does quite well for tanking. She gets so much speed that even camilla, gulveig and kvasir in their bonus seasons really struggle to double her and with NCD, she easily counters Hinoka. That being said, sanaki is a big issure for her to go up against and with the ninja double special and ahr banners on the way, they will become even more common. Fjorm is much more viable in light season over astra, with peony to counter the debuffs, she can stand even some sanaki with the right setup.
@@FEH depends on sanakis support, but generally yes. How I use her is I have peony dance to ensure that fallen Maria and summer fjorm both get the debuff neutralisation effect to allow me to keep Maria within 2 spaces (my Maria has infantry NFU so fjorm can use a speed seal and still get NFU). That's also how the byleths deal with Sanaki as well. Debuff immunity or not within 2 spaces.
Tina is the ONLY reason my Aether Raids teams can survive Winter Edelgard now. The very first time someone attacked my after I put her on, I guess they forgot Tina could steal her Charge Status and my team wreaked HAVOK! It was so satisfying to watch theirs and others fall for that trap 😂
I’ve literally just been omni tank end turning since I started playing the mode even if I don’t win or not. Is it optimal…no Is it creative and strategic…. definitely no😅😂 but it’s all I can afford to do I’ve got a +2 Severa who puts in work now, and then I think her ability to remove DR even with defensive specials is unique and with the right support she works decently well. I’m always jumping between tier 25-35 and the teams I face are all kinds of different mixtures from insane save balls to crazy cavalry x flier lines only to then face the Askr trio at four stars with no skills and silver weapons… man this mode is definitely something 😂😂😂 I know it would probably break the mode but being able to customise your team before hand to suit the team your about to face would be nice, of course that would probably just remove any if not all skill from the game…. not that I have any😅😢
Thanks for the shoutout! Yeah I love that team and definitely know it really well, and sometimes, experience and practice just trumps using a pasta that you aren't as comfortable on or just doesn't fit your playstyle as much.
WByleth paired with Freyr on chaos season was almost unkillable for me. Without debuffs, most of the big threats (e.g. Sanaki or Shamir) don't do anything
Quite. Having a strong shield special in Negating Fang and flat damage reduction helps a lot. The fact that she can get double shield specials off against brave units is insane, as she's the only unit who can do this. Her only issue is a lack of damage reduction pierce, but Legendary Camillas's "Cut DR in half" buff helps fix that to a degree. She's honestly one of the best omnitanks now, easily. She just needs good support units to bolster her.

I have been playing since day 1 and I have to say I will see it for a certain time how the game will develop. So mashed is actually no longer fun to play it. I hardly have a new strong unit, this unit feels not so strong in 4 weeks because then an even more stuck unit comes into play. The PowerCreep is just too fast, I wouldn't find a small brake would not be bad
Just remember that it’s a game and should be fun. If you’re not having fun, definitely put it down for a bit. I will say that we’re getting an early anniversary FEH Channel this year. That might bring something good.
Well, Legendary Sigurd teams took advantage of the poorly designed and not updated map size to catch you off guard. If there was an extra row that wasn't eaten up by your offense structures, you'd have room to move your susceptible units instead of them accepting their imminent defeat. Now, things are just getting out of control. Damage taken before you even attack which was reserved for AOE specials, many tools that pierce damage reduction on hyper offense characters, certain seasons not having counters to gimmicks (Light season not having their own False Start unit so you can actually use Save units without Embla saying "No lol" or Elimine being countered by Freyr so the gimmick characters get to do their thing without a fair check character.), and of course Light season just being a complete joke as far as their Mythic roster goes. We got what, Peony and Mila while the rest vary tremendously on their usefulness while Dark season has only grown in power thanks to their refines/remixes. Honestly I'd say it's worse now. The only real counter to this nonsense is Galeforce strats. So if you don't particularly like using those, you're screwed.
Day 75 Campaign: Alfonse for CYL8! W!Byleth, W!Dimi and R!Lucina are THE group now, for me! Sometimes I don't do a good job and lose some units but I really rely on them. Do you think N!Sanaki is the best option for AHR? 🤔
Probably should hold off on building up Legendary Chrom, there is a real chance he'll be appearing in the next HoF or so I've heard it said quite a bit lately.
IS sucks at balancing their game simple as that. Nuke spammers keep crying and complaining every time IS buffs armor tanks so they're forced to nerf them with even more OP nukes. The same thing happened with Bridal Catria, but let's not get into that she got nerfed by schism and finally she's dead and done.

Which version do you run? I’ve had some folks tell me that they’ve been using the ones that cover all 6 lanes.

I am calling it the next harmonic within two months will be the omnitank version of Duo Byleth to be far ahead of the rest of omnitanks

Are you using a rally up? They have different rules. Since it rallies multiple units, the AI tries to maximize that

Debuff cleansing is definitely the way to go vs Sanaki. I was running into a lot of citrinne/Sonya/AoE units that definitely give Byleths trouble.
Whenever tanks come back I just want the fix to be more on giving our tanks more stuff rather than the fix to be summoning the newest op tank.
I was pissed when Tina killed my Freyr
A Fomortiis with Hardy Fighter and Pavice can stop Winter Edelgard... or at least force her to use two actions to kill him😂

She’s a very good omnitank. The archetype is just not good right now. We’ll have to wait and see what IS gives us next. She might get a nice boost.
