Great short video!. you can save a step on this workflow. When you start a sketch on a face in fusion 360 automatically projects the geometry from that face to the sketch so you do not need to use P for project in your video example, its already done.
I know you can dimension off of the geometry from the sketch plane, but I don't think exporting a sketch to a DXF file will include it unless it's been projected.
@@vsvenson I don t know if exporting a DXF through the file tab will work but right clicking on the sketch and "save as DXF" does work. By selecting a face to start a sketch on it does automatically project the geometry of the face to the new sketch, it just doesn't show in purple. try it, works on my system.
