- Netflix's animated, all you can eat buffet of weirdness is trip you need to take. From David Fincher and Deadpool's Tim Miller, don't expect any electric sheep in this robot fever-dream.

Some of the episodes in love death robots i would love to be turned into complete series
I especially loved the warewolf episode. I was so intrigued by the backstory I wanted it to be full movie.
Imagine shape shifters as a game tho. werewolf’s in the war
The alternate history episode could easily be turned into a RUclips channel.
Or video games.
id love to fight the beasts in the first episode and see a whole series on three robots
A lot of the episodes feel like the intro of really cool games.
The first episode looked like it came straight out of Cyberpunk 2077.
IKR! It made me hyped for Cyberpunk. I hope its beautiful like the episode.
Mixed with a dash of Dishonored
That skull crush though
The USSR special forces the last episode could be its own video game.
@@weatherspoonelias so.. Metro 2033/LastLight/Exodus
I will never understand their rating system
They game Umbrella Academy like an 8.3 or something....I watched it since it got that rating and man it was nowhere near that, more like a 6.7/10. I can't trust their reviews anymore, IGN of all places used to be the definitive place to watch a review now it just isnt
Noone gets ten
No one can

It’s as if it’s someone’s opinion 😱😱
@@fa1lstar663 What was wrong with the Umbrella Academy? I liked it.
Miller and Fincher definitely deserve applause for organising the whole thing, but the credit really goes to all the director and animators who wanted to tell these really interesting stories
It's like ign can't count to 10 lol
8/8 it is then 😎
Big drip
Hahah
No way in hell
This is the most violent, profanic, over the top sexual show I've ever seen.
*give me more*
it's like GoT for adults, also with a better OST
Lol have you seen altered carbon yet?
If this is the most violent profanic an over-the-top sexual show you've ever seen you need to get out and experience life cuz this is nothing
@@titi710 This comment feels like bait
I want an overwatch series now
Had the pleasure of working on a bunch of these: Sonny's Edge, Suits, Shapeshifters, and Lucky 13. I hope the anthology is well-received so that we can do more performance capture craziness in the future!
Sonnie's edge was flipping amazing!
What was the process like for Suits? I've never seen 3D so perfectly emulate traditional media. Each frame legit looked like a friggen painting.
Amazing work!
How long did it take to make one episode?
@@AshwathGokul Yeah, I agree. The writer/director, Dave Wilson, is a freakin' genius.
Final Rating of 8.0
Pros- incredibly unique, creative, cool, and just an overall blast to experience
Cons- not a marvel movie
funny they give captain marvel 8 too, it is not like they gave every marvel a 10 of 10
@@divangreedy2239 yikes
@@divangreedy2239 im just gonna say it idgaf anymore

IGN: “Epitome of cool”
Love death and robots: Took 11 years to make
IGN:...8/10
Leisurous 11 years?!!!! damn
Muji Shah CGI takes a while plus money 💰 it’s not cheap xD I think 6 minutes is millions alone and they added like a lot of episodes
Jon_ oVo may I ask why cg is so expensive?
@@Lily-xd1tg It's labor intensive.
8.0/10.0 “No Optimus Prime”
As a fan of The Animatrix, and AEON flux, can't wait to watch this.
Props to the writers, directors, and animators for their hard work.
The Maxx
Yea Annimatrix I also thought that
You mean MTV Liquid. Because AEON Flux was part of the anthology.
Dreams liquid tv
@@manchesterunitedno7 In Europe AEON Flux and The Maxx were part of MTV's Oddities.
Beyond the Aquila rift is my favorite one so far (still halfway into the season) , its like the love child of Halo, Dead space, and mass effect
This one impacted me the most
i felt a lot of event horizon in it
Mine to 😊
That one was really awesome!
Zima Blue was the most melancholic episode
Oh hell ye brother
Secret War scenes looks like from a masterpiece painting, it's beautiful.
Growing up with Heavy Metal, Robot Carnival, Animatrix, Memories and many great anthologies of the 90's and early 2000's, this is a series that taps into that energy and pure unfiltered imagination. Nom Nom Nom, more please....
"Three Robots" was definitely my favourite, I can not deal with the level of sass these robots have. Especially the giant triangle one!
Anyone have any recommendations for anything similar?
Almost every short left me wanted more of that concept. I really loved the first and last one
The first episode needs to be its own series. I was blown away by it. I really hope they do that because that first episode and the werewolf one were truly amazing
Feel like this going to spawn a new type of series. Can't wait for this!
I love how the episodes are viewed in different orders for each person based on shows they watched. I saw Sonnies Edge for the midway point
Whats the name of the song that plays in the end of the episode Beyond the Aquila Rift?????
Living in the shadows, my fav episode
Not enough love, death or robots
8/10
Hands down my favorite piece of entertainment of the year so far
Lots of the episodes deserves their own series/movie or even videogame. I hope they make a second season!
Zima blue touched me to my inner core
It's the Cinefix guy.
I lost track of time of the video, the only thing that got my attention is that music in the background.
1:38-2:00
You don't put the name of the song, unless your group made it up if not reveal the name of the song or else..
How many were based off of other material? I remember reading Aquila Rift back in the day
The one I would love to make into a full-fledged show is suits
What is the name of the song used on the verdict part?
This series is unique and I'm hooked. Currently on episode 7.
Honestly the last episode was a ten out of ten for me
Review seemed glowing, wasn't expecting just 8.0
@@cosmancho2959 hmm, never did I use the word "cool" How old are you?
Umm, he did said that some stories were derivative so with that being said, it notched the score down.
wdym? 8 is a great score
Only watched the first episode thus far ... it was AWESOME!!! Netflix, you have restored my faith in you.
The first episode is the best in my opinion slowly went downhill from there
Suits and Lucky 13 are my personal top picks.
The first episode is the worse
@@kenny4957 You think the episode with the robots and the cats was better. An the animation of the fight the blood guts and brutal death that was awesome. Everyone had thier own opinion though
Antoine Robinson you claimed that everyone has their opinions then you start assuming that I liked the stupidest story
Can someone please tell me what the song is from 1:40
Shapeshifters was one of the best ones. One part heroic werewolves, one part supporting the troops.
What is the song at 1:38 ?
Anyone know the song that plays at the beginning?
Can't find individual ratings on imdb :/
The sentient yogurt was definitely one of my favorites 😂😂
Just finished watching this anthology of films and I must say, it was time well wasted. The visual feast of top-notch art and animation is something I haven't seen together in one place for quite some time. If this was released on Blu-ray along with a collector's art book I would probably pick that up in a heartbeat.
What's the name of first background song?
Loved every single episode. Can't wait for season 2...I mean, there's going to be a season 2!
This anthology series really reminded me of Heavy Metal (old dudes and geeks will know what I'm talking about). I loved this so much and I can't wait to see more. All of the stories were great and the art design was gorgeous.
Now that you say that. Yes, it does remind me of that
I’ve been trying to find what studios worked on this??
Honestly the written reviews make more sense of the final score
I think that's very true with most reviews. It's just that for the majority (me included) it's more convenient to watch a video that summarizes everything.
Fantastic Panic yeah I see your point. Guess it’s just one of those things that will forever annoy me and there’s nothing I can do to change it. Like daffy ducks voice.
Just binged the whole season. Was hooked from the first episode. Some of the episodes are fked up, like dark kind of fked, and others were tamed. And you never gonna know which till it ends.
Would really recommend it. be mind fked for 3 to 4 hours.
Can't wait for season 2.
The witness tripped me the hell out but that lost in another galaxy one depressed and blew my mind Simultaneously.
I’m so in love with this show just wish it was longer
My favorite episode was "Lucky 13"
just awesome...!!!
The first episode was mine! Just aweome!
Lucky 13 was my favorite as well! It had Glenn from TWD! Lol and he lived!!
When you have Superhero movie flooding the market, this is a breath of fresh
I really wanna see either a movie or a game on the episode suits
if you like sci fi stuff, and loved halo legends or the Animatrix this is a must watch
When can I watch it
It's amazing, metal hurlant as a TV show.
What's that song at 1:38???
Awwww, I feel this series deserved a 10/10, it was a collection of animation styles that did not hold back at all with its stories.
In a time where saying literally anything can get you in massive trouble it's great to see a series where the creators, animators, etc just said "who gives a f**k, let's do this", no regard for who they'd offend or upset, it was a breath of fresh air and an awesome way to show off art styles, animation capabilities and story telling.
Song at 1:38 please anybody?
I dont really understand why other show isnt up already, if ign can see 8t just like that no problem then why have it set to release on the 15th?
I absolutely loved it all but Especially the warewolf episode. The story, the animation. It was surreal.
Still waiting on the Gen:Lock review.
I like the farmer one that had the giant robots it’s like titanfall
Can someone help identify the track at 1.38? Can @IGN please provide the list of tracks?
Try shazam app
@@MusicSyco Tried that but it can't find it. The music clip is too short...
You said you'd like to see something like this that is more cohesive to a theme... well, The Animatrix
would this season really be worth our time..what are your thoughts IGN?
I always am surfing through Netflix and I just discovered this and wondering how in the hell I missed this???? This is fuckin AMAZING.
some of these shorts would make for interesting video games
I loved it.
Some of those episodes were messed up and weird but all of them were awesome.
And you might learn something like in Three Robots or Alternate Histories.
Hope there will be a season 2 of more epic craziness.
One of episodes looks like it was done the same way Into the Spiderverse was
it was made by the guy who made some of the spiderverse concepts-Alberto Miego
It looks just like the animatrix; same soundtrack too ✋
Shape-shifters was my favourite, I also really liked the yoghurt one and the first one
all of the shorts are truly amazing it makes me want more and it hurts, but damn the secret war episode is awesome as hell
Reminds me of black mirror with some of the endings and love the change of animation styles!
That opening sounds like sfx from Black Mirror
The first episode drew me in
What was your guys favourite episode
I’ve gotta say the werewolf soldiers concept was so cool I’d love an expanded series
in at episode 7 and so far loving it
The secret war mini episode should be a series
honestly after just watching the first episode, it is certainly fantastic, some of the graphical detail for the 3d features are fantastic, effectively this is a Hard R version of the OATS Studio
(my only gripe is that there really should be some forewarning for certain types of gore in the episode description, incase some people just can't handle certain types of gore compared to others)
I guess I'm desensitized cause I never batted an eye to it.
I’ve definitely been interested in this series, and hoping to see the creators future work after this
had no idea what this was before clicking, and was sold within the first 10 seconds of the video lol
To be honest i must say that the range of craziness is as big as their range of quality there a few great ones a few awful ones and abunch of in between
I watched all the episodes and I WANT MORE! I thought it was completely awesome. I just wish that there was more content and some of the episodes were lengthier. The creators truly did an amazing and outstanding job! I’ve never watched anything like this, but it does remind me of Black Mirror just a little because. Other than, we need like 500+ more episodes😬
1:22 sold =P
That was one hell off a acid trip
Anyone else notice the ginger said lv426 before she went out to space?
Netflix please make a series out of Heavy Metal.
Its definitely very similar to Heavy Metal. The style is like 100% on point with Heavy Metal. Loc Nar season 2
i noticed most people in these episodes were barefoot. didn't know if that had any link of any kind, just thought it was odd that it kept reoccurring.
The werewolf marine was the only one I noticed, and he's a werewolf and doesn't need shoes
is it like matrix cartoons?
Yeah I’m ready
What show is this? Can I see on the web?
Am I the only one who thought the episode with the fridge was to similar to the simpson halloween episode where lisa creates civilisation from her tooth?
Is the narrator the same guy that does Cinefix?
One of the best I’ve seen in forever. Binge watching right now and loved most of them.
This show never fails to amaze me. Some episodes were like self explanatory and I don’t really see them going anywhere. however some were so stunning and definitely need to be continued as a series of their own. Amazing! Absolutely mind blowing! So ign, get your counting right. 10/10
The era's Heavy Metal from the looks of it.
Wait, my guy from CineFix moved to IGN?
Had to double check I wasn't watching a CineFix video.
Did everyone notice that every episode has some kind of severed hand shot?
I love how most of the shows could be there own series
That song from 1:38 1:50 pls
