It isn't this guys speed that impresses me, it's his independence. It's like he has three brains. Absolutely incredible.
I feel like Brann started singing cause he was getting bored and just playing wasn't challenging enough haha. Dudes unreal.
in the making of videos he said he was the only one to show up for vocals at the studio and it was before they had cell phones so he couldnt call to see where the others were or if they were coming. they also said that since there's no dedicated singer it's easier to share the load for singing having three people do it
Always loved that Brann does a lot of fills with the snare/toms; rather than just doing a shit ton of double bass every song like a lot of drummers. Nothing wrong with the double bass though.. I love brutally heavy riffs with some crazy double bass haha. But, I just like how he has his own style on drums that is very unique compared to most other hard rock/metal drummers. And how he's constantly using ghost notes on the snare n shit.. dude's just a top notch drummer. I'd have to say Gene Hoglan, Thomas Haake, and Brann are probably my favorite drummers. The fact that he's able to sing while drumming without going off key/screwing up often if at all, is also pretty incredible. You don't see many drummers who also sing haha.

Love this video - usually the tracks aren't as isolated so the audio becomes a huge noise but you can really see and hear what Brann is doing. Great stuff

This might be the wrong place to ask, but what kind of vocal mic is Brann using? I've always preferred headset mics over the course of my career (loved my Crown CM-311), and that honestly looks like a drum mic more than anything else.
