Great job and thanks for sharing your experience. What month did you do this?
You’re welcome! We did it in the end of April this year.
This is great. In 2011, I stayed at a monastery for two weeks in Samos and walked (enough) of the Camino. I didn’t do enough for a compostela but it was still a meaningful journey for my young self. We loved bringing leftover apples from the refectory to the cows in the nearby fields. Beautiful video as usual, reflective of the meditative, and challenging, nature of the way. Buen Camino!
Nice video, I have to say condensing 500 miles into 24 minutes makes it looked like a piece of cake. 😂 I cycled from León to Santiago last October, and from Pamplona to Santiago in June, it wasn't easy, I tried to stay on the walking Camino as much as feasible. It was amazing 👏
Haha yeah, about 2 minutes of footage per 7 hrs of riding😂 it’s a beautiful route, glad you got to do it as well!
How long did it take you guys? My wife and completed it in our gravel bikes in 9 days. Did you document the journey in Strava ?
We did it in 10 days. 9 days is a great pace! At times I wished we had gravel bikes. I did share the whole trip on strava!
@@ChaseChristopher1 dude totally worth it. My wife and I want to do the Camino portugués or Via Francigena. We should plan and tackle it together although doing the Camino Frances again would be cool as well. My wife road a canyon grizl with a suspension fork and I had a canyon grail. Feel free to look us up on Strava… I tried to find you but too many of you.
@@pietrodamelio1416 wow, those would be awesome bikes for it! Do you have instagram? Shoot me a message over there if so
@@pietrodamelio1416 here is my Strava strava.app.link/b5VrKXXC1Kb
@@ChaseChristopher1 I don’t have one, but my wife has a cycling account. What’s your insta?
When did you start? Looks like mid spring
@@chrishawke7613 we started on April 19th
Your journey looks truly amazing. I'm really looking forward to your videos. I also look forward to collaborating with you and have sent you an email. Thank you!💌
Christopher,
Great video and seems a great route... Do you have a GPX-file of your route. Will you share it?
Thanks
Geert
Is this route you took basically the EURO VELO 3?
A la parte más hermosa e importante del Camino, Galicia, le dedicas alrededor de 4 minutos! Y a Santiago de Compostela casi nada. Santiago de Compostela es la meta del Camino, capital de Galicia y patrimonio de la humanidad.
Perhaps not 36,000 feet of climbing but still a good workout. Thank you.
Actually, the Camino Frances has 12,340 meters of elevation gain, around 40,480 feet of climbing
Yes, it's in the 40K ft range, I just did it.
@@craigkimble1467wow! Then the route must be mostly uphill.
@JeffCrowell11 it very much feels that way, I joked how can all of Spain be uphill?! But of course it only seems that way because the climbing takes so much longer than The Descent and yes I have the data from my Garmin on Strava.
Definitely a bucket list ride for me. Thanks for sharing. Great stuff
Glad you enjoyed it!
So amazing 😇
You do remind me of my boo bear Christopher 😇 he turned 27 on January 20😇
Nice to travel with you two!
Thanks for coming along👍
Congratulations from Barcelona (Spain). I loved your video of the Camino de Santiago, it seemed very harmonious, balanced and with great sensitivity. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
