Thank you all so much for the comments, questions and support! I am starting plans on making some more trips here in Oregon before moving back to Spain later in the year. More to come!
Hi Ian, Just wanted to say thank you. Two weeks ago I did my first bike packing trip in Spain inspired by your Grenada to Valencia cycle video. Unfortunately I didn't have the time or experience to do the whole of your route so started in Alicante and cycled from there. I didn't actually reach Valencia due to the storms, flooding, loss of life and general chaos surrounding that city at the time. So as a result turned around at Xativia and came back to Alicante, but needless to say the whole ride over four days was a great test and wonderful experience. So just wanted to let you know that your videos are an inspiration and a source of encouragement to others. Thank you! K
Thank you so much for sharing this. It is amazing to hear that this film inspired you to head out and have the experience. Sometimes our best-laid plans have to be changed. I love the surprises and the improvisation as much or more than the original plan. I hope the next bikepacking trip is equally wonderful. Cheers! -Ian
Great scenery, cycling, footage and editing. It's not easy to record yourself while riding and maintain a schedule. In 2022 I rode form Gandia area to Almansa and back, it is gorgeous and stress free riding in the rural Valencia region. Thank you from Canada!.
That was great my friend …..I know Spain well but saw some new vista and liked the soundtrack to your journey ‘ nice images to mull over .travel well !
¡Me ha encantado. Muy chulo el video, muy bien grabado, muy bien editado y excelente la música que acompaña al video. Toda una sorpresa para mi y un deleite para los sentidos! Un saludo.
back in 2019 I've travelled from Granada to Valencia on a day by motorbike, one of the most amazing days on the road I can remember. Still I remember the red castle over the town of Caravaca dela cruz. Having also done some bikepacking, I wish i can go back and do it on a bicycle
The route looks fantastic. Great work to capture the essence of the ride. Good video work and editing. Someone mentioned possibly adding narration, but I prefer the way you made this with nice music and written comments. The beautiful scenery helps too. 😊 Nice job all around!
Great job and happy to be a new subscriber to your channel ! Looks like a super ride. My wife and I spent the last two winters in Spain after living there from 2018-2020. The Vias Verdes are an amazing network of rails to trails projects. I see that near the end you were on a Euro Velo as well. I do a lot of riding on the Euro Velo 6 , 9 and 13 in Austria as I am now retired and living in Vienna. Keep up the good work !
Thank you for watching. Over time I want to ride parts of all the Euro Velo routes, I am a little obsessed with that project and really impressed with work they are doing to connect Europe with those routes.
Incredible footage. Simple in a good way. Brought back many memories riding in those areas back in the 80’s/90’s. Was fortunate enough to be able to take my bike when I was working for a Dutch company. Need a bike packing trip for the end of the year. You cycle a one with the biciclette. Such souplesse. Happy days fella.
Thank you for a fascinating video full of fabulous scenery and lovely photography. I noticed many of your segments followed rail trails, so I went to your RideWithGPS mapping to check out your route. It looked like an adventure that my wife would be willing to ride along with me. Good luck with your future rides. Keep safe and keep well,
Did you not visit La Calahorra just south of Guadix? I rode there in November 2023 from Granda, but rode back. La Calahorra has featured in many Westerns. Iconic scenery in For a Few Dollars More when Lee Van Cleef gets off the train and you get a shot of the castle; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly where Tuco is tied to the rail tracks. I didn't make it to La Calahorra but I'm adding it to my list. I didn't know about its filmmaking history. Thank you so much for watching and sharing this.
Great video, no bullshit commentary, nice video choice. Captured the essence of your ride very well. I’ve ridden many of the kms you covered in events, but you made some astute choices for your stops and rest points. Looking forward to more videos. Cheers! Tim

Great video thankyou. Would be lovely to have some overdubbed voice explaining a bit about the routes cycle path, bridleway equivalent etc and equipment used. Also accommodation were they air BnB, guest houses? It looked stunning. Seems you enjoyed it. Best wishes
Such a well done production. I also make bike films, as an amateur, and know how much work goes into making these kinds of videos. I just got a drone and man, as your film shows, makes such a difference. I am heading to this region in Mid January and will be starting from Alicante then Granada and continue south to Gibraltar and then jump a ferry over to Morocco for a few days. Thanks for sharing this great adventure.
