Bro you taught me like 7 years ago when I was a kid and I remember thinking this is the best piano tutorial ide had, and it still holds up as easy and accessible. I hope you've been successful in whatever endeavour you've embarked
DUDE you make so much sense. Your tutorial doesn't just show how to play the song, it shows how to play the piano. Thank you again, and maybe in a couple months i will get good enough to play for youtubers? Ha we'll see.
Cant count how many hours of killer enjoyment ive had playing this tune and changing it up myself. Cant thank you enough dude. This has started and ended the days perfectly. Keep jammin bro!
Dude your a GREAT teacher ... Please keep em coming ... I'm a piano novice with no experience in music theory other than I know the names of all the keys (finally) and you did a great job of making this material accessible. Thx again
Idk what these people are bitching about this tutorial being too fast. I don't even play the piano really. I was transferring the notes to my guitar and I only had to go back a few times to get it right. That's how you learn a song on youtube. Rewinding exists!
Please please please make more tutorials on this subject. Preferably from the Nujabes whole harmonizing part. I'd love to know the whole ordeal, it's still kinda tricky to figure out. Thanks a bunch!
@JTK1Ibanez in that example it would be F maj7, not minor, all of the regular 7 chords in C major would be composed of notes only in C major. I think 1 4 and 5 are often used in pop songs (try doubling the root on top and only playing triads, not 7ths). I'd suggest looking up jazz theory on 2-5-1s, I'll probably make a vid about them but I think that's part of what you're looking for
Hey man I love your style. I found your videos because I wanted to learn some Nujabes. Could you recommend any artist that have similar styles that have inspired you to play what you play?
What part do you want exactly from Mystline? I've gotten a lot of requests for that but I don't know which part people really want to learn. There is a part with 2 pianos, but that is a little crazy to teach. Do you just mean the melody?
hey mmeronek your videos are really helpful and inspiring, i was just wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to do the solo bit on Mystline... ive seen alot of tutorials on how to do the first part of Mystline, but no1 seems to do a tutorial on the solo part of it. Thank you for all ur vids!
@ShaggyBox1 Nomak, Uyama Hiroto, Shin-Ski, dj four one one, Fat Jon, The Sound Providers, MF Doom Special Herbs, Pete Rock... but I have to say most of what I play came from jazz legends like Bill Evans, Chet Baker and Shelly Berg (Itunes)
I really love your style man. I found you because i was really into Nujabes and I wanted to learn a few songs. Could you recommend some artist I would enjoy?
Wow....you're pretty good....Can you actually make a tutorial on the chords including minors and majors? Because the way you just explained that little bit MADE A WHOLE OF SENSE as opposed to my previous teachers... =) and thanks for explaining that (4 step counting thing) I never thought of it like that xD!!!!! Thanks so much!!!! Please, please can you do more tutorials using the little trick you just showed? ~ Kuro P.S thanx again ^^
@JTK1Ibanez I remember hearing people tell me that if you were say playing in the key of C, your "main" chords would probably be 1, 4, and 5, so does that mean you would play c, f, and g chord variants? so say, c major 7th, f minor 7th and g triad just as an ex.? I've messed around a lot but can't seem to find things that fit, any general tips or bits of advice you'd be willing to share? also, don't come out with a flowers or with rainy eyes cover anytime soon, still working on it, hahah
I love your tutorials!!!!!! Very easy to follow. I was wondering if you could do "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It would make my life complete. :)
@SuperSl1ck lol yeah I get that these things are difficult but at least was it understandable? That's mostly what I'm going for, besides trying to limit my saying 'um' a thousand times
@mmeronek Thank you! I have heard a lot of what you listed, but I'll be sure to take a look at anything that I have not yet heard. Keep up the great music!
good stuff, I usually have a lot of trouble when trying to improvise with the left bass hand, to me, the right hand is more prone to free soloing and doing things on it's own which isn't too much of a problem for me, it's when you have to make something compliment it in the left hand where I have trouble and get stuck on I understand the fundamental principles of 7ths and chord progressions etc but I can't seem to find something that works.
Hey man, this is awesome but I was wondering where I could find the chords for the main melody. You said 'Vietman' had a tutorial, but I don't think that still exists as I know I am very late.
Cool no problem, you might want to also check out some of the new lessons I just released, they are a lot higher quality and more in depth if you need more help
How do I know when to change chords with my left hand? Idk that doesnt really make sense sorry, but when while playing with my right hand when should i change chords for my left hand?
Can you please put the chords in the description or send them to me so i could just learn them all and practice them and then im thinking of pr acting the D flat scales that way whe n I start learning this song my hands wont be struggling with the melody.
Ten years ago today, you uploaded this. Today is the day I decide to learn this song!

Thank you. You're the only one I could find that actually gives the right chords.
